Sushi Mori

Fantastic sushi some of the best creations but I have tried and I’m a big sushi fan their services ok nothing to rave about but their chefs are fantastic. Thank you sushi mori for the delicious menu.

Waited WAY to long for my food. Then once it got to me the server dropped some of it on the table THEN picked it up with his bare hands puts it back and my plate, looks at me and says «is that okay sir?» WTF there are so many things wrong here

I love the décor! Food was great! I tried the beef teriyaki platter, big serving. Also tried the Tarantula roll; it’s brown rice good alternative if your trying to stay awy from white rice. All the servers are very polite and attentive. This is my new favorite japanese restaurant. Very busy restaurant, si if you want to be seated underneath the cherry blossom trees better make reservations

We have been here a few times and really enjoy the décor. BUT the service is lacking big-​time, and the food is lacklustre and overpriced. Tonight was no different. Ugh, why did we come here. We finally learned our lesson tonight and resolved to not be back.
10 seconds after we were seated, the server came to our table and asked for our order. We told her we had just opened the menus, and before we could even place a drink order, she walked away. We ordered 2 Tuna Tahini plates and an Alaskan roll. The server repeated the order back to us. When our food arrived, we only received 1 Tuna Tahini plate. The server never asked how the food was, but let me tell you the curry and rice on my Tuna Tahini plate was gross. Not only did it look like something my dog would have puked up, but the curry was curdled and cold and the rice underneath was hard. The curry had clearly been frozen and then defrosted… in addition to it being curdled, it was rubbery… I simply couldn’t eat it. The tuna came in three minuscule pieces and the salad was ok. My boyfriend’s Alaskan rolls were ok, but I think it’s weird to cover Japanese rolls with melted cheese. My boyfriend’s Tuna Tahini plate never arrived, and when we flagged down the server, she said she only ordered 1 tuna plate (ugh). Then she shook her head and said «you don’t want the tuna plate now do you?» And my boyfriend was like «well yes, I am still hungry». So his Tuna Tahini plate came and it was no different than mine (I had hoped my plate of curry grossness was an anomaly… sadly, no). His curry was the same as mine, only there was a giant chunk of gelatinous substance in it that looked like skin. Yes, skin. He stopped eating it. Oh, did I mention that as SOON as the server delivered his tuna plate, another server gave us our bill! LOL!!! We laughed and laughed. 2 minutes later, another server came up to us, looked at our bill, and said «oh, did you pay?» ROFL! We were like «um, not yet but we will.» So we paid up and left and said our goodbyes to Sushi Mori forever!

Beautiful décor and great food. The menu is huge, be prepared to spend some time trying to make a decision (their salmon sashimi are always so fresh, though; you can’t go wrong with that!)

Went here this evening for our New Years Eve dinner with my husband. Had been here prior with a friend and was very pleased.
From the décor, staff & menu we were very happy!
The tea is wonderful! We had gomae, (excellent peanut sauce!), spicy agadashi tofu, (if you don’t like spicy stuff you probably shouldn’t order this, but if you like spicy, go for it– I had fire in my mouth), Boston Roll, (very light & fresh!), Coconut Tuna Sashimi, (it was good, although a bit salty), assorted tempura & assorted gyoza & miso soup.
Our experience was lovely and we will be back!

Have had some great meals here, most recent (takeout) was dissapointing. Yes the décor is nice, and service sometimes slow and unorganized.
The Alaskan rolls here are always weird, with broiled (?) cheese on them, this overpowers the roll, and mushifies it, salmon not raw. Every once in a while I forget this and order them, and that is a mistake.
The Toro sashimi was cut very thin, 1 of 5 pieces a sliver, taste bland.
Agasashi spicy tofu good, however basically a mushy sarachi sauce so not very unique.

Have given this location a try 3 times now. The food is always been sub par. A little over priced in my opinion for what you get compared to other sushi places. But the service is where they really lack. My girlfriend and I went there yesterday and we waited at the table for a solid 20 min and no one had come by to take our order or even give us a glass of water. A server walked by saying are you ready to order. We said yes and she is like I will be right back to take your order. then she forgot about us again and no one came. After 20 min we just decided to go to another restaurant. We will not go back!

I love their vegetable roll & spicy agedashi tofu. Sushi Mori is our go-​to sushi place even though it’s a little far from Surrey. Sadly we are starting to notice the servers don’t really pay much attention on the weekend… perhaps they need more staff?! During the last two visits, even our food didn’t taste the same. I really hope this doesn’t continue. Overall they have good food but def need to keep up the customer service levels.

Beautiful décor and delicious food– try the vegan lady roll and takoyaki. It’s DELICIOUS. and the service is very nice too!

Price is more expensive than others but for GOOD reason — good food, good service, clean, cute décor. Ordered the sweetie roll and spicy agedashi tofu and both hit the craving right on the spot. Yay :)

Definitely a unique dining experience. Upon arrival, you’re welcomed by the whole staff, even chefs from behind the counter which is awesome! The décor is beautiful, with cherry blossoms all over the place and an extremely open floor plan!
It’s a bit on the pricey side, but some of the specialty items are well worth the extra dollars.
This restaurant is always super packed when we go, so sometimes they’re understaffed and it takes a while for us to get served but the servers are always polite and accommodating :)

The cherry blossoms inside this restaurant looks fantastic! The food was nothing special and a lot of the dishes were overpriced. One of the items I ordered was the Salmon Sashimi and that alone cost $ 11+ for merely 8 pieces (I can get 9 pcs for $ 9.95 elsewhere with big freshly cut portions).
When customers come in, they are greeted with «irasshaimase!» which means «welcome» in japanese. However, the cooks and servers were not in sync and they can barely be heard.
This restaurant is definitely lacking in service – it took forever for a server to seat us and take our order. It seems like they weren’t making themselves available either as it was quite difficult for us to get their attention and call them over. The couple sitting at the table beside us actually had to walk over to the server just to ask for a fork. It wasn’t even busy that time yet service was very slow. I also wish they’d serve every customer a glass of water right after they’re seated.
Our food came in fairly quickly and we were notified as we were ordering that our Okonomiyaki would be ready within 10 – 15 minutes. I also ordered Chicken Teriyaki and it was served on a sizzling plate with veggies. The menu was huge and a bit overwhelming. It would be nice if a server was readily available so we can ask for recommendations or featured dishes that we can try.
It was nice to try this place out at first and I quite enjoyed the ambiance. Overall, I give this restaurant 2 stars for its overpriced food and lack of service.

Last time I was here I was ignored and left before anyone would take my order… And I’m a patient person. Today I was in the neighborhood again with a craving for sushi so I wanted to try again. I was happy that I did! I ordered the spinach gomae and a tiger roll. Oh my gosh each was so delicious. The spinach was nicely presented and the sauce was nothing short of perfect. The tiger roll was fresh tasting and surprisingly light. Just the right amount of heat.
I would have given it 5 stars but I notice the chairs and woodwork needed a good dusting.

I love the gomae roll! It’s nice to have a different veg option than the standard same old. I have been here 3 times with different groups of friends and all of them really liked it.
The service is a little slow at times but it’s busy. The ambience is nice and I never feel rushed.
I will definitely be back.

カナダのBritish Columbia州バンクーバーの南にあるラングレーのお寿司屋さん。
看板には日本語で寿司森さけのふるさと、と書いて有りますが、日本人スタッフは居ない模様で、韓国人がメインと思われます。
店内は北米には珍しい掘り炬燵風のテーブルと半個室のテーブル席で、カウンター席は無し。店の中央にオブジェの桜の木が何本もあり、お花見の気分。雰囲気は居酒屋ですが、居酒屋メニューは少なく、寿司と弁当定食がメイン。
席に着くと、まず鉄瓶の玄米茶と煎茶用の小さな湯呑みが出てきます。グリーンティーは有料のところが多い北米としてはGOOD。ところが…、これが後述の「蛆虫事件」に繋がるのです！
本日のオーダーは、
スパイシーちらし丼: 平たい大皿にたっぶりの刺身、中央のライスのうえにレタス、刺身は、マグロ、ビンナガ、鮭、スモークサーモン、ハマチ、蛸！マサゴ。スパイシーソースは別に提供されます。シャリが美味しく、刺身の量もたっぶり。なかなかの美味。
グリーンサラダはシャキシャキ野菜とフルーツ、醤油ドレッシングが付いてこれもOK。
いなり寿司、少なくとも日本のコンビニのいなりよりはずっと上。
マグロの手巻き寿司、ハンドロールという言葉が韓国人のスタッフに理解されず、コーンと言ってやっと通じました。刺身が多すぎてシャリとのバランス悪し。
全体に美味しかったのですが、Yelpでは、美味しくないという評価が多いので、シェフによってばらつくのかも知れません。
ホールスタッフは若い韓国人の男女ですが、気配り無し。なかなかオーダーもとって貰えません。夜９時には1­0人程のスタッフが集まってお食事タイム。ホールには2人残っているのですがサービスは行き届かず。これはYelpで何人もの評価の有る点です。
Unilocalのレビューの圧巻は、お茶の鉄瓶蓋を開けたら蛆虫がうようよ居た。お店に文句を言うと、お茶っ葉はタイから輸入して居るが時々蛆虫が居て困るとの返事、その日の食事は無料にさせた、と言うもの。レビューアーのボーイフレンドが他のテーブルの鉄瓶の蓋を次々開けたら全部に蛆虫が居た。だから評価一点と言うもの。これって、玄米茶の玄米なんですよ。知らなければ蛆虫に見えるかも。それにしてもスタッフのこの回答には呆れます。
スタッフにYelpのレビューを見せて、これまずいんじゃ無い？と言ったのですが、反応は深刻ではありませんでした…。
そんな訳で、結構美味しいのですが又行く気にはなれないお店でした。

This place is average. Ive come here a handful of times.
I usually order the same thing, salmon sashimi and a avacado/​salmon roll. Sometimes ive noticed a bone or two in my sashimi. Not a huge deal. Priced fairly for those items atleast.
Customer service is okay on a good day. But its usually terrible service.
The décor is beautiful though, but that doesnt matter too much.

If you haven’t been to the restaurant before do yourself a favour and just take in the beauty of the décor for a moment. Knowing what was in the location before turning into a restaurant makes it extra special.
I’m yet to have a bad meal at Sushi Mori. The menu is huge. It’s really big. But if you take time to read through it there are some really great dishes that deserve to be tried. Tonight I tried the sushi pizza and spicy agedeshi tofu. The sushi pizza is really different. And kind of awkward but it does taste pretty good.
Speaking to the food and décor this is the best sushi restaurant in Langley, hands down.

The menu is extensive and never disappoints, which gets huge points from me. Their rolls are always exciting to try out. I am quite a fan of their salads and their chirashi don, the sashimi they serve here is quite fresh. Everything in this place looks great, décor and all. The place is nicely decorated with fake (yet convincingly real) blossom trees, which sets the tone nicely for the restaurant. I’ve yet to be disappointed by the staff. They are friendly, responsive, always there to greet you on your way in and out.
Great for dates and groups, however I recommend reserving ahead of time if you want to grab one of the booths in the restaurant. Check the place out if you’re looking for quality sushi in the Langley area.
