Always amazing food! Love the soup and last time I had the steak. Portions are a good size. But most important the staff is wonderful. Warm welcomed get and friendly.

We were very excited to come to Casa Americo for dinner and I hate to say it, but we were not too happy with it. We got the Risotto balls as an app. My husband loved them but I thought they were wayyyy too salty. We both got the«prime rib» and it 100% was not prime rib. It was steak. We didn’t complain about that because it still tasted good. However, I ordered mine med rare and got it well. I told the server and he asked me to cut the other piece to make sure… Not very professional, I’m showing you one piece is over cooked, that’s enough. They took it back and brought another one which was perfect. I did have 2 people check to make sure it was OK which was nice. Overall, to spend almost $ 100 without alcohol and get a mediocre app and«prime rib», we weren’t too impressed.

A fantastic hidden italian restaurant in on main street Milton. This small restaurant has a very casual and relaxing atmosphere and the perfect place for a date night or intimate get together with friends. The staff were extremely friendly and my night was full of laughter the old school staff. The ladies were served first as per tradition and men last, its nice to see the classic style of serving once in a while especially when its unexpected. The appetizers we got were delicious. We got the bruchetta with mozzarella and goat cheese with romaine tomatoes and a balsamic reduction. Our second appetizer was their calamari and it was the best calamari I’ve had so far! Light and fresh with flavor, the calamari was soft and tender and just melted in your mouthed. For this dish alone I would come back again. My main was the classic chicken Parmesan with gnocchi pasta and vegetables. It was a very large portion so not for the light eaters. The sauce was fresh but I found it bit more acidic for my taste. Otherwise the meal was delicious! I’m glad I found a new italian hot spot restaurant and I’m looking forward to my next visit!

By far one of our favorite restaurants, here in Milton. Food is fresh and delicious, and the owners treat everyone, like family. The menu changes every once in a while, but the standards stay through out. The specials are always creative, listen carefully though, there can be a lot of them. This visit we had the special of Ribeye steaks and fresh made vegetables with roasted potatoes. Of course for Appetizers we had Bruscetta and Spiduccis which are always delicious. The leak soup was amazing, another special last night, do try it in your next visit,(even for me a guy that doesn’t enjoy very many soups). The restaurant itself is tight and small, but a lot of Miltons Bistros are, it was totally full last night, and the five of us could still carry a conversation without any problems.

I wanted to like this place, I really did. I was invited there for dinner by my in-laws. They reserved a table for 9 about a month ago. When we arrived, the place was packed and we were shown to a table that would have been crowded with 8 people at it. A large table was empty at the front but we were told that was ‘reserved’. I guess those people reserved MORE than a month ago? We wedged ourselves into the smaller table and ordered food. …2 hours later, the mains arrived. By that time, the wine was long drunk, and our appetizers were a distant memory, as they had arrived promptly. The servers ran around trying to be pleasant but they seemed overwhelmed by the number of people in the place. We were told that a lot of the diners had theatre tickets to a nearby event. The food was fine, fresh and hot, but by the time it finally arrived, no one cared anymore. When we asked for the bill, the owner himself came out to deliver it. Finally– an apology for all the waiting and perhaps some free dessert??? Nope, just a story about a group of people who had lunch there today and how great a time they had. Oh-kay… I went upstairs to use the ladies room, which was lovely, newly renovated. I could tell because they didn’t have any toilet paper holders, or any toilet paper for that matter(thank goodness for paper towels). When I attempted to wash my hands, the sink didn’t work(no one had turned on the water to it). So, all the female diners had dirty hands?!? I’ll maybe try again, at a quieter time, but I really felt that the situation could have been handled better. We had hoped to have a pleasant holiday get-together with family, and what we got was a cramped, hungry, tedious evening. it’s a pity.

If you have never been in a great Italian restaurant then you might think this was good, but it isn’t. Very disappointing food. We had crab cakes(bland and a bit greasy), grilled calamari(no char and almost not cooked), veal piccata(steamed unimaginative veg, little sauce and also bland). Tables are too close together. Service was good.

I came here yesterday with some friends and we all had such a great time! As soon as you enter the restaurant, it’s classy yet has a homey feeling. All of the staff were very attentive and charming(especially the owner… I’ll be back just for his lovely compliments). I ordered a latte, both of my friends ordered cappuccino’s, complete with your choice of topping of cinnamon, chocolate, both or as is. As soon as my friend took her sip she claimed this was the best cappuccino she had ever had. Which was unexpected yet delightful. The latte was good, it wasn’t the best but it was tasty. Our meal began with complimentary bread and oil, a tradition that has sadly ceased to exist in modern all-alike chain food restaurants. Sad. We then ordered three appetizers to split: 1. Spiedini Di Agnello: These lamb skewers are placed upon a pillow of fresh, mesculin greens with fresh parmesan cheese. The skewers were flavorful but sadly they were cold so I did not enjoy them as much as I would have if they were warm. The mesculin greens were great, there was a light oil and balsamic dressing that went perfectly with the meal. 2. Risotto Balls: These were AWESOME! They are deep fried risotto and cheese balls topped with a tomato sauce. Now, I don’t like red pasta sauces but this sauce was amazing, it was such a lovely and fresh compliment to the fried risotto. 3. Antipasto plate: this was a treat, it came with kalamata olives(pitted, phew), fresh parmesan cheese, tomato slices and bocconcini cheese(for anyone who does not know what bocconcini cheese is: it is a very fresh mozzarella cheese and incredibly milky at times) Tip: eat the tomato with the bocconcini, yum! As well as pesto soaked zucchini and eggplant. This was lovely, light and fresh. Everything really complimented each other on the plate. For dessert the three of us shared a piece of tiramisu. oh my lord. This was heaven on a plate. We are really glad they ran out of carrot cake(our first choice) because we would have missed our chance with this creamy, moist, delicate dessert. All in all. we had a great time at Casa Americo. I would love to come back and explore their menu a bit more, maybe a dinner? This was a wonderful experience and I loved every bite and minute.

We were in Milton on a Sunday night of a long weekend and Casa Americo was one of the few places that were open. So, we were thankful we could find a place to go an eat. The restaurant is certainly nice enough, the gentleman who served us was very charming and the portions were large. Unfortunately we were not blown away by the food. When they served us bread with the meal one of the pieces was stale. The bruschetta which the waiter made sure to convince us to get was so so with almost too much cheese — you could not fully taste all of the tomatoes. I had the Wiener schnitzel which was ok. It was a bit thick and too fried. They served one of us the wrong schnitzel with sauce we did not order and then went and charged us extra for this. Another person ordered an oven baked penne. The dish was a good size but it did not have much flavour and we did not bother to bring the leftovers home which is pretty unusual for my family. The linguine alla Greca was the nicest of the dishes we ordered. So, we were glad it was open and the people were nice. Unfortunately the food wasn’t close to the type of Italian food we normally eat.

Very impressed with a great Italian joint in Milton. The ButterNut Squash Soup was delicious and the Fungi Risotto(don’t recall the correct Italian name) did not disappoint. Great texture and taste! Good ambiance with soft light and music for a romantic evening. Had a lovely chat with the owners and HIGHLY recommend exploring this beautiful spot!

Came here for a surprise bridal shower recently(it’s the bride’s favourite restaurant). The antipasto plate was good, and the bruschetta was loaded with goat cheese, onions, tomatoes and balsamic reduction. My main was a nice thick cod fillet and dessert was of course crème brûlée. There was a wait for dinner, but all mains were brought out at once. One of our waiters was hilarious throughout the night, and they were attentive without being invasive. Nice location on Milton Main Street too; nice patio out front. So, I’d call it pseudo-Italian, although that’s the case with most Italian restaurants :)

My dad is absolutely crazy about Italian food, so the family took him here for Father’s Day. Happily, Casa Americo did not disappoint. My brother ordered one of the specials, a steak, that came out on a sizzling cast iron skillet and sent the other patrons into a jealous tizzy. My penne alla vodka was not so dramatic, but its flavour was bold, bacony and addictive. I ate the entire massive bowl with no regrets(until, of course, the dessert menu came out). The owner is very friendly, funny and active on the restaurant floor, and he visited our table to present my father(and brother!) with a free tiramisu in honour of the holiday. Most of the desserts are not Italian classics — Casa Americo serves a small selection of Cheesecake Factory slices — but that’s my only real quibble.

I was highly impressed by the service and food at Casa Americo, a cute restaurant nestled in the tiny downtown of Milton. The restaurant had a live piano player the evening I ate there, which added a different vibe to the restaurant… and it was very nice and relaxing. I ordered Gnocchi al Pomodoro con Proscuito. The gnocchi, a food I am typically very particular about, was quite delicious and cooked just right. I also enjoyed a glass of Barolo Fontana Fredda, which was introduced by their nice, but not overwhelming, wine list. I would definitely recommend eating here if you are in the area. The meals were not too overpriced, either.
