Jay’s Ice Cream

Jay’s Ice Cream has a great range of ice cream and gelato flavours. Their flavours do not disappoint, as they are rich and creamy. It’s a hard decision to make on which flavour you want to indulge in. (Favourite — Maple Walnut)
Service is great. Well priced for a generous single scoop.
Overall, perfect for a summer date as the park is near by as well.

Jay’s is the perfect place to use up all that change that’s been filling up your purse/​pockets/​drawers.
$ 2.25 will get you a single scoop of ultra rich ice cream. Try the Heavenly Hash (aka Rocky Road). The taste lives up to the name, but there is something almost sinful about how much I love my ice cream. Haha!

If you get the opportunity to meet Jay, you’ll understand why his business is successful. Not only is he very friendly, he is also a very hard worker. In the short time I was chatting with him, I learned that he runs back and forth between two locations and does a lot of the work himself.
My first few experiences were on hot summer evenings downtown Milton, when you can’t say «no» to ice cream. The wide selection makes it difficult to decide on your flavour of the night. Whether you choose the cone or the cup, you’ll get a good-​sized portion.
The location is great for taking a stroll, as the park is not too far away. There are benches outside if you don’t want to stay inside Jay’s to consume your treat.
I ordered a birthday cake from Jay for an 8-​year-​old. The cake is purely ice cream, your choice of any flavours. Jay was more than helpful with his recommendations for combinations and size (depending on how many mouths you have to feed). Be sure to give Jay enough time to prepare the cake as the layering requires freezing in between. The decoration on the cake I ordered wasn’t fancy, but was appropriate for an 8-​year-​old.
