Banana Republic Factory Store

If you’re not picky about fabric quality, and styling, a factory store like Banana Republic might be the place for you.
A lot of the clothes sold at this factory store cannot be found at the retail store, except for some of their pants.
Fabrics for men’s shirts, jackets and some of the pants are thinner and feel lower quality than the Banana Republic retail stores. That’s not a good thing if you’re planning to keep something for a long time. I made the mistake of buying a cargo pants made with thin cotton and after wearing it for the first time while hiking in the woods, a single thorn from a bush ripped apart the fabric. To give you an idea how thin the fabric, I have a pair of pants from a B.R. retail store which is about 3 times thicker than the cargo pants.
Their shirts and jackets don’t fit and feel as nice when compared to the B.R. retail store, but they’re fine if your work environment requires dress casual clothes — it’s a level or two up from Costco and many levels up from Wal-​Mart (ironically, right next door) for dress casual clothes for the workplace.

Tried to give it another chance today. Still didn’t work.
The store was a mess. Everything was dishevelled and there was merchandise all over the place after being picked over. I don’t think the staff can keep up with the amount of people traffic that comes through.
What I did notice today was that they were selling 3 button suits… hmmmmmmm. Not too sure what to make of it except that 3 button suits were all the rage in the late 90’s. You don’t see much of it right now. Either way, I didn’t like the look of it.

Pleasantly surprised to find a BR outlet! Cheap, good sales, can’t complain. Not super clean, but that’s just what happens in factory stores so I wasn’t to stressed. People grab and discard things faster than the sales associates can put it away. Got a decent top and cute socks. I wanted to buy one of everything, but alas no funds. I’ll definitely be back… even if Queensborough Landing is a pain to get to!

I was super surprised to fine a Banana republic Factory store in Queensborough landing. It’s a huge store that is very clean and well organized.
The staff here is very sweet and helpful.
Awesome Finds for men and women. Although their jewelry section falls short or the normal Banana store, it’s still a great store!
