DONOTEATHERE. MANAGEMENTENDORSESTHERIP-OFFTHEYARE A PARTOF. We live in Buffalo and took a ride to NF, ON to have a nice dinner at Ruth’s Chris. I have eaten at 20RC throughout the US and Canada. Never paid so much for a meal with a cheap bottle of wine, no drinks or dessert and two small steaks. $ 500CAD before tip. Currency exchange of 80% to USD helped. Still $ 450 incl tip. Never again. As the other reviews say, «go to the Keg, instead»!

The evening was disappointing for a high end steak house the food was poor. Soup was cold and sides were tasteless . Steak was well cooked but poorly trimmed leaving too much of it left on the plate. US grade A is not the best and for $ 300.00 I would expect much better. The wait staff was very pleasant and the atmosphere quiet and interesting although a bit dark. We made reservations but it was clearly not required as the tables were empty but for a few dining at 7pm. Over all it was very disappointing I would suggest Baso or even the Keg for better food at a more reasonable price.

The two stars are for the food only. I made a 7:15 reservation and was not seated until 7:45. Someone brought us bread and water pretty quickly. Our server then arrived to take our order. He did not offer appetizers or drinks. We weren’t even given a drink menu or a wine list. Luckily we were okay with just water. We ordered two steaks medium well and two sides to share. The potatoes were way over cooked and the steaks were very well done. Not even close to medium well. The waiter never came back. Even if we decided to send our steaks back we would have been waiting a good 35 minutes which is when some other server dropped our check off. The only saving grace for the meal was even though the steaks were over cooked they were still tender and delicious. Ruth Chris has good food and usually good service, but this location was abysmal. The prices were inflated but that’s normal for a tourist destination. And since we weren’t offered drinks or apps our bill was reasonable. A lot of other reviews mention the darkness of this location. It is incredibly dark. A lot of other diners in the restaurant were using the flash lights on their cell phones to read the menu and their checks. Weird.

Had the spice lobster, then lobster bisque. Both delicious. Then a lemon sorbet and onto a filet mignon and ribeye steak, both medium rare. Excellent! Ice wine to finish. Great food, service and atmosphere.
