This is the best soup you’ll ever taste, bar none. All fresh ingredients, chopped fresh right before your eyes everyday. If it’s called«chicken» soup, you will find a ton of chicken in the bowl. Can’t say enough about the quality and value here! Well done Soup Meister!

I recently moved back to North Vancouver from Alberta and was so excited that I would be able to eat from Soup Meister daily! Every single soup from Soup Meister is amazing, with anything chicken as my favourite. The buns are always fresh and taste delicious. The menu is simple, easy to understand, and everything is priced very reasonably! Conveniently located, the kitchen appears very clean and the customer service is fantastic, with the Soup Meister himself, Ralf Dauns, being a very welcoming and friendly gentleman. Perfect meal for anytime, especially warming on a chilly rainy day!

Solid soup. Every time. I’ve never been disappointed with any of the soups here. I will start off by saying I’m that annoying customer that asks to look in the pot of soup before committing to purchase. My faves: chicken noodle soup, lemongrass chicken, and any type of seafood chowder. The soups here are hearty, full of chunks of real ingredients and yummy. It’s hard for me to visit the quay without walking away with something from the soup meister!

Located right in Lonsdale Quay, this place offers really hearty, delicious soups daily, which always include a vegetarian(usually vegan, though you have to ask) soup. Smalls are $ 5, larges are $ 5.90 and extra larges are $ 7.85 and include a bread roll(white, whole wheat or focaccia). Pretty great deal for excellent quality and healthy(depending which one you order) soups. Very much recommended.

Really delicious Boston Clam Chowder. Great selection of soups to take home. Frozen take home soup specials available at the side freezers: $ 4 for small and $ 6 for large containers. I bought a couple of large container of soups to try at home.

Lots and lots of cornstarch and salt in soups. I find the actual ingredients are lacking but replaced by the latter. Overhyped and probably good if you don’t know how to make soup.

Passed by this place while at the Lonsdale Quay Market, and I must say, it was quite a good find! The soups here all look good, but because I have such a weak spot for clam chowder, that’s pretty much the only thing I order(if it’s an option). I ordered a «large» bowl, which I believe is actually the«middle» size. They start their sizes at medium or something like that. The soup was very flavorful and rich, but not heavy, and you could taste the clams! Prices here are decent for the amount of soup that you get, and I personally think that the large size can be comfortably shared by two people. Give this place a shot if you’re at the market!

The best. Absolutely the best. I am a graduate of an excellent 3 year Culinary Arts program, and these guys work very hard to make perfect, neutral soups. I’ve enjoyed more than 20 variations, and Im always happy with the quality, flavour, and texture of the soups. Some are even better than my best. Almost. ;)

I always make it a point to stop in for a bowl of soup when I am on the North Shore. They also have a great variety in the fridge!

I’ve been enjoying the Soup Meister products for many years — since it opened in fact. The products are consistently delicious. There is a soup for every situation. Italian Wedding is my favourite but everything is flavourful @ the Meister. On days we need chicken soup for a cold, it’s there for us. Every day the staff chop fresh vegetables for the soups they make on site.

the soup was delicious. Although I was a bit disappointed seafood chowder was not one of the options, considering it is located in the Vancouver seafood market and we had to take a ferry there, so you automatically assume seafood chowder would be on the menu. I ended up taking the vegetarian bean soup and it was delicious! The flavour of the soup was fresh and tasty, so was the chopped up veggies and beans. It is truly a soup meister.

OMG some of the best fresh soups in town. You have have a sit down bowl or get a mini bucket to go and heat at home. Very reasonably priced and I appreciate eating soup that isn’t saturated with too much sodium. I tend to be a soup junkie in winter.

Crossed over to North Vancouver via the seabus last week on a dreary Wed. morning, there’s not much to do here except the indoor public market which is pretty much connected to the ferry terminal. Their steamy hot soup just appealed to me so much on a chilly drizzly gray morning, I tried their Caribbean sun soup, of various types of veggies in a tasty tomato based soup. Instead of croutons they offer you home baked banana chips! how awesome is that? I am by now used to mix a little sweet with my savory(like cranberries and oranges in my salad) so I went for it. The banana chips are awesome! They taste great, the texture complements the ingredients in the soup really well. for $ 5.90 they give you the«bowl» version(1 – 2 ppl) + a Kaiser roll with(optional) butter If I have to come back here for some reason, I will definitely pop in to have a giant bowl of soup again! It warmed up my body and my spirit! =)

Who doesn’t love a good bowl of hot soup? If you didn’t, I am afraid we can never be friends. Fresh and/or frozen soups and sauces can be found here in this conveniently located place inside the Lonsdale Quay Market. My partner and I were just«browsing» and wasn’t really in need of any soups but the friendly lady happily gave us samples when we asked to try the New England clam chowder and the Irish stew(St. Patrick’s Day). The former wasn’t bad but because I had much better ones at Pike Place Chowder, Seattle and at Swan Oyster Depot, San Francisco, I couldn’t give my money away. The Irish stew, on the other hand, is fantastic! It has goat(not goat-y at all), potato, celery, onions, leek, and lots of love. It’s a wonderful stew which comes with a bun. It’s amazing how the bun was cold but it still tasted fresh,(good) chewy, and delicious! If you loved soup and haven’t given this place a try, do it.

If there’s Tomato Basil, outta my way. When I enter the Quay from the parking lot, I always squint to see what soup in on tap for the day. Recently I’ve had the Beef Barley and the Tomato Basil. I think Tomato Basil is the best. A lovely tomato soup with a hint of heat. I’ve tried the Cream of Chicken: chunks of chicken with big slices of mushrooms. Yum. It comes with a bun(white, brown or foccacia). You can get it to go or for dine in… I always get it to go because we go and sit near the All Day Café to get coffee. I think they give you more if you have a for-here bowl. I get the large. It’s $ 5.90 plus tax. I also get a coke there… it’s in a can. They also have a freezer section with containers of soup. The Quay is usually a first stop so I don’t want to buy a frozen soup defrosting in my car all day.
