Adega On 45th Estate Winery

This was the first winery stop on a tour of 9 that day (yikes!). No tasting fee and they poured all the wines on their list (probably about 11 different whites, rose, and reds). Our faves were Felicidade (my bf picked up a bottle and he’s not a wine drinker) and the Rose (I picked up 3 bottles). The price points were great (both were $ 17 all-​in).
We were served by the grand daughter i believe and she was very knowledgeable about the wine. It always adds a touch of homely ambiance when you get to speak to the family behind the wine. She was super efficient (even though there were many of us) but still very attentive at the same time.
My only wish is that I picked up a few more bottles! Definitely recommend and will revisit when in the area. One of the few right in Osoyoos and not too far from where we were staying.

The ‘Felicidade’ and ‘Rose’ wines purchased at Adega during our June, 2013 Osoyoos stay were much-​enjoyed.
The ‘Rose’ was my choice as the «winner». What a wonderful wine, so ‘unique and different’ from other rose wines tried in the past. Sure wish I had purchased more of this one!

A small and pleasant enough winery to taste wines. Any tasting fee is waived if you purchase a bottle, which we did @ $ 16.
I probably would give the winery tasting room 4 stars except for two facts:
1. The owner’s daughter-​in-​law went to be with her friends on the patio that is used for customers to enjoy their wine, and began smoking and thus ruining the experience for us.
2. The owner referred us to a restaurant in town (Diamond Steak & Seafood) ostensibly because they have good food AND they sell their wines. Well, the 2^nd part of this is true, but the referral for food was severely misplaced.

On our way to Nk’Mip Winery, we came across this place. They were just closing shop, but let us come in and do a quick taste. As a result, we bought their Felicidade 2010 and Syrah 2010. Great wines, friendly staff, and nice but small building.
