This is in my top tier of wineries to visit. In addition to a beautiful view of Osoyoos Lake, it’s a small, new, beautiful wine tasting room and the host has a charming French accent. He took a lot of time with us and didn’t rush us through any of our samples. He was also very open to answering any questions and we were able to learn more about the delicious wines that are made here. Their 2007 Chard($ 22) was zesty with lots of citrus fruit. The 2007 Viognier Roussanne($ 22) had a really velvety mouthfeel and was totally delicious! They also make a very fresh Sauv Blanc($ 18). For their reds, we tried their 2006 Six Vines($ 25), a blend of six grapes. The aroma made me want to crawl right into the glass! Lots of cherry notes and a smooth finish. Their 2005 Merlot($ 25) was medium-bodied and had a spicy kick on the finish. We left with the Viognier Roussanne and the Six Vines. Wish we’d bought more, because they sold out quickly!

Twisted Tree has one of the best views of Lake Osoyoos from a winery. It is a true pleasure to stand at the bar and taste Twisted Tree wines! We chose a bottle of 2007 Chardonnay. I might just have to look at the photos I took from Twisted Tree when I drink it to relive the experience.
