I qualify as a regular here, due to a weekly group that meets here for coffee. By St. Paul University, it gets a lot of students and university related staff — as well as couples from Old Ottawa East. It’s got a simple, tasteful décor — and in nice weather you can sit out on the porch. Not great parking — so plan to park on the street and walk — or better yet, ride your bike. Good sandwiches, fresh baked goods — cookies, pie, dessert breads. Coffee, tea and cold drinks are always good. My favorite sandwich is the salmon bagle. It’s quieter in the summer, quite busy(steady stream) in the winter months as students return to the city. Note: They close fairly early(usually 6p, subject to change) so check the hours before heading over. Would I return: Yes Would I recommend: Yes, great stop for those in Old Ottawa East.

I’ve only been here once, but it was a nice, relaxed coffee shop on Main St. The cappuccino was very good and there was a great selection of baked goods. The back area has comfortable seating, as well as tables to work at. My concern is only that the tables were quite closely spaced, so working can be tough if there are talkative people around. A larger patio would definitely add to the attraction. I will go back! And of course, free wifi!
