Chef’s Paradise

The service. I think this is why C.A. Paradis has been around for so long. This is exactly why I love supporting local. You go in the store, they don’t have what you need, but they go above and beyond to help you. In the world of online shopping, stores like this take a hit, I’m sure. But friendly staff and quality service with expert advice is what keeps us going back for more!
They have a great selection of high-​quality kitchen products, perfect for the amateur (and pro) chef!
They also have excellent sales and promotions all year round. Something you rarely find in boutiques!

Got a few replacement plates and bowls for my set and a knife sharpener! Both were coincidentally on sale ;)

CA Paradis is out of the way in Ottawa South, but well worth the trek. Their selection of kitchen supplies and choices are 2^nd to none, and the staff are super-​knowledgeable. They also provide support for their products. When my kettle went on the fritz, I took it in and they replaced it, no questions asked! Their hours of operation have recently been extended to include Sundays, and this is definitely good news for cooks and connoisseurs in the nation’s capital!

This place is truly a chef’s paradise. They have almost everything you could thing of for kitchen gear. I got my molecular gastronomy set here. My one complaint is that what they had online was different than in the store, so when I got there the kit was not the same. Had I known, I would probably have ordered it online elsewhere.
Overall prices are ok, a little high but some items are well priced and the sales are good.
I will continue to shop here for those hard to find items and specialty things as well.

I don’t think I’ve been to a kitchen store as good as this one before. This place has *nearly* everything. I say nearly because the one thing I’ve been looking for everywhere wasn’t there, but not really knocking them for that since NO ONE has it (bread couche).
The people running the store are friendly, there is selection for days and they even have a commercial kitchen section if you want to get really crazy (or, if you know, you own a restaurant).
Come here to waste hours looking at kitchen stuff, or if you are looking for something in particular, pop in and I’m sure they have it.

I can’t believe I have been in the city as long as I have been and not visited C.A. Paradis. Both times I have visited this place staff have been very attendant and extremely knowledgable. This place stocks excellent quality cookware and lots of great extra’s. I was so happy to find a Zojirushi travel mug!!!

I love that place, every time when I go there, I have to spent a lot of time there. I bought my Silit high pressure cooker, it is bit of pricey but you pay for what you get.

I absolutely love this store! Everything imaginable and some unthought of before, for your kitchen. Bakeware, upscale coffee makers, tons and tons of items for sale. They do not sell only china and gift ware — they sell everything! Their bakeware includes my favourite — stoneware — as well as metal, coated and not. All kinds of tools to make meal preparation easier. Oven mitts and aprons. All kinds of knives, bowls… you name it!
This is even a great place to do a little shopping therapy (when you don’t know what you want for yourself or as a gift for someone else), but be warned: it’s too hard to go into this shop and not come out with SOMEthing!

Great kitchen supply store in Ottawa! It has everything you knew you wanted with items you never knew existed and all of a sudden you want!
They have everything you could could imagine for a kitchen and ranging from high end merchandise to items for fantastic values.
They sell to homes and restaurants as well offer services like knife sharpening. I’ve avoided giving this place 5 stars solely on the fact that for whatever reason, stores in the USA are able to offer some of these items sold here for a fraction of the price. If you have no chance in going to a US store then this place is definitely the place you want to shop for kitchen supplies in Ottawa!!!

if your serious about cooking, then this is where you go. They sell all the high end stuff but because they supply restaurants i have found you can buy some really inexpensive stuff as well — i bought a bunch of stainless steel prep bowls for $ 4 per — great value and i also bought my Sous Vide Supreme there as well :)

My wife and I love wine and have been looking for wine-​related goods (bottle openers, racks, glasses) and we saw such items in the window of CA Paradis. But, when we entered, we discovered that the store sold EVERYTHING for the kitchen — and by kitchen, I mean my tiny apartment kitchen and the kitchen of a five-​star restaurant. It is both a retail and wholesale kitchen supply store. They sell everything from individual items like vegetable peelers to industrial strength meat grinders and huge wine refrigerators. The popularity of the store is reflected in both its large size and the vast number of shoppers inside. My wife and I toured the store at noon on a Wednesday and it was packed. Despite the busy atmosphere, the sales staff were attentive and helpful. We’ve been in the market for a coffee maker for a while (the ones that have a timer and start grinding the beans and brewing the coffee just before you wake up) and we were delighted with CA Paradis’ selection and prices. It definitely is the place to go if you spend any time entertaining or if food plays a large role in your life.
