It’s hard to rate this place before knowing what you’re on the hunt for.
This isn’t a fancy place, but the food is decent.
This isn’t a high-​end establishment, but the beer selection is OK. They have a few quality beers and some less-​than-​expensive beer that will fit most budgets.
It’s the kind of place you will duck into to get some work done, but end up in a 20 minutes conversation with a «regular» patron.
Nothing about this place makes it special, but the vibe and clientele make it something different.
So, what are you looking for? If it’s a low-​key bar and you don’t have any expectations, I’d stop by.

Do not ever get the chicken wings. They are all fat, breaded disgusting things. Should not even be called a chicken wing. And the drinks are over priced for what you get…

I’m always on the hunt for a new place to have a pint near my place.
I tend to end up here during a game when wings are on sale. Their wings are good. Probably better than the others in the hood.
Their beer is… unoriginal. They mostly have Keith’s, Canadian, the usual but they do have pitchers, so if you’re going pre Babylon or what have you it’s a good place to start an evening.
I will say it’s just another pub in Ottawa so it doesn’t stand out in any specific way but it’s not bad.

I used to live right around the corner from this place, and it was a great alternative to any of the Royal Oaks along Bank St. They have amazing chili and really good burgers. The beer selection is fine, and the staff were always really friendly. Once we even got candy rings! It’s a good spot for a low-​key beer with friends.

Oh yawn, another Irish pub with all the usual beers and meals that are expected at these establishments. There’s nothing that stands out about this place except I recall their beer is pretty cheap, especially if you go early in the evening.
Hmm, let’s see… something original. Their menu includes a variety of pot pies, they have trivia on Tuesday nights and the clientèle is usually down to earth. I think they occasionally have music acts here, but I have yet to see any performances.
The service is average.
