People that live in this University of Ottawa residence are mostly first-year students, and is commonly called«HySo». These apartment-style suites are two, three, or four bedrooms, with single to twin beds. Each suite has one or two bathrooms, a living and dining room, and a kitchen, with a stove, microwave, and fridge. Phone and Internet services are included, but the laundry facility downstairs needs a laundry card. A major complaint is that laundry cards are $ 5 each, and when you want to reload it, you can only put $ 10 or $ 20 bills in the machine, and you have to use up the money on the card, otherwise you can’t get the rest of the balance back. What’s extra convenient, however, is the Second Cup on the first floor of the building. The staff members are either current or newly graduated students, all very friendly and efficient. This coffee shop is also filled with students on a daily basis, as you would expect.
