Stuck in a pit w/little time and bout to get hannngry? Having to resort to a «seemingly» healthy venue? Yeah, it happens to us all… In these situations, eliminations & substitutions are your best frands #workershateme Screw da grains, and build your own salad. Top that shit with as many things as your stomach and eyes please Try to avoid toppings that are on the Dirty Dozen list(most sprayed fruit n’ veggies) check EWG’s site for the list I topped mine with cucumbers, olives, mushrooms, sprouts and grilled chicken for protein. Dressing? Psh, unless u want some nasty canola or soybean oil, ask for: 1 side of Balsamic Vinegar /plain ol’ vinegar 1 side of Olive Oil Mix that, badda bing badda boom

My friend’s vacation was ended early and we had to rush south after he became very ill for more than 2 days(symptoms too graphic to list here) after eating bean sprouts in a pita from here. The concierge from our hotel also shared that her friend got sick from the sprouts from this place for nearly a month AND a test my friend had from a doctor back home verified the food poisoning(which required antibiotics) so there’s no unwarranted accusation here. So whether a Canadian or a tourist alike… please don’t suffer the same fate.(It’s two stars because my pocket was fine and the employees were nice to us). I don’t know who’s call it is to store or keep the sprouts around well beyond their shelf life. I’m hoping Unilocal will honor this review that I’m satisfied with and I won’t have to continue to post on every online review site I can find.

This place is a really great alternative to any fast food in the area. I forget about it all the time! I actually passed by it on the way to Milano’s and figured I was going to give it a shot. I ordered felafel wrap combo, it came to $ 10. I got my choice of cookie or chips and a large bottle of pop. I got a turtle cookie which was double chocolate and caramel. There are a ton of different toppings, sauces, and spices you could choose to put on your wrap. I can’t remember exactly what I picked but I know there were mushrooms, lettuce, onion, green pepper and alfalfa sprouts on my wrap. Valuable lesson learned: I hate alfalfa sprouts. My wrap was pretty good, I think it would be VERY good had I chose different ingredients. I made the stupid mistake of choosing feta cheese with spicy Thai sauce. The two don’t mix. The ingredients were very fresh. Yum. The guy that waited on me was really nice. Lightened up my night for sure!

Perfect after a night out in the Byward Market, or a quick delicious lunch. I don’t know how many times I’ve been here(probably because I wasn’t that sober) but I’d guess that it might be over twenty-five times. I love the food here so much that I’ve tried to mimic the turkey by cooking it on my frying pan. No, they’re never as good as Pita Pit’s. And Extreme Pita doesn’t even compare — they’re noticeably cheaper on the meat. I always get two pitas when I visit. It’s healthy… right? :)

Went in on a Thursday evening, and finally got to try Pita pit. The location was small, but had about six tables. When we arrived there was only one worker on; the other was out making a delivery. Unfortunately the customer before us was ordering for his family, and kept changing his order every time his phone rang. Soooo, about 10 minutes later, we ordered two buffalo chicken pita’s, and topped it off with everything from pickles, to lettuce, olives, and chipotle sauce; which I found a tad sweet. $ 18.00 and some change later, we enjoyed our two large wraps, and a bottled coke in the restaurant. It was a nice, filling meal, yet light enough to enjoy walking around the market. Service was friendly, food was good, BUT I think I like Extreme Pita just a LITTLE bit more than this joint!

This Pita Pit location is at a prime location for some late-night grub after a night out at the bars and clubs. It’s a favorite spot for anyone that wants something to eat in the middle of the night, but isn’t in the mood for the greasy grub at the other fast-food joints open at this hour. Their wraps may seem a bit pricey for pitas at first, but they really pack them with vegetables, toppings, and sauces. You can even double your meat or cheese for an extra charge. They have a pretty good selection of meats and fillings, as well as sauces, including tzatziki and mango. No matter what you order, the pitas are healthy and filling, and they’ll even deliver them if you’re craving a serious pita wrap.

I have to give credit to this particular Pita Pit for dealing with the intense line ups of intoxicated students that come straight from the bars after last call, to here to get something to eat on their way home Needless to say, don’t go here for a snack around 2am, if you have not been out, though the pitas ARE delicious, it would not be worth the wait. Pita Pit has delivery now too, so you can order it anytime from at home! The staff here are patient and seem to deal well with the crowds.

Ahhh the Pita Pita. Nice Canadian success story. It wasn’t that long ago(or was it?) that I could boast after one epic summer road trip to Waterloo for a friend’s birthday to have eaten at every single Pita Pit in existence all in the space of 72 hours. Now look at it stores across Canada, the States and around the world. Not too shabby for a place that started out as a hole in the wall catering to drunken Queen’s students at the top of Princess St. In Kingston As for the food… it’s made to order, served hot and covered in an array of tasty toppings, cheeses and dressings. All this at a reasonable price for the hungry man or woman on the go that needs a portable meal. What’s not to love?
