Spent 250 dollars here yesterday just to get treated poorly. We purchased a superbowl ticket just to give this place another shot. But as usual the employees are as rude as always. Giving customers attitude. Oh not to mention when we got there. All tables are reserved. And it’s only 12 pm and superbowl doesn’t start till 3 pm. I thought purchasing a ticket guarantees us a seat. So why take reservations knowing lots of ticket has been sold so as usual the results? We’ve seen lots of people complaining and people standing everywhere. Poor management. And very unorganized. Not to mention a waitress fishing for tips. She keeps using alibi she needs to leave so she got tipped twice. Oh and the food for the superbowl event is pretty ghetto not what the ticket said it will be. And its not a buffet when you can only have food once. Also there is no drink special like what it’s says on their page ad. False advertising. Don’t come here on big events they will not do exactly what’s on the ticket and advertisement. They wont let customer know that it’s a reserved seating until the time of the event. Not even a board outside the pub. Don’t fall on their trap. They are so good at false advertising luring people into the pub then scam you with tips and treat you like shit after you pay. I don’t think we will ever come back at this pub until there’s some changes with the management. Worst experience ever…

I have never had good service here. We always give it a try every year in hopes things have improved, still the same. Last time we were there we came for a quick bite before a movie. Service was quick at the start. We ordered drinks and the fajitas and jambalaya. After 30 mins we asked when our food would come. And also for a drink refill, my water had been empty for 10 minutes. The waitress said she didn’t know what was going on, she would check. She said the kitchen was backed up. Even though 5 minutes later a table across from us got their meals, they arrived after us. I bet she forgot our order, but she was too good to admit it and apologize. 15 minutes later(total of 45 minutes) I had another waitress get my water. Our original waitress said the food would be out any minute now. We had no time to eat and catch our movie now. I said, «no thanks please get us the bill». She gave us such attitude and didn’t bother with a sorry or anything. Very poor service. Didn’t bother to give us any discount or anything. She got no tip.

It’s an ok pub but we only go because it’s close to our house. The place is always freezing– saves money on heat and the waitresses make excuses. The waitresses are not very good– poor service and attitude and you always have to wait for a drnk– they’re never on top of it. They often post specials around the pub on posters or chalk boards and very often they charge more on your bill than advertised. Same with some menu items. So check your bill — this is no accident and then it’s a hassle to get your money back. Worst of all is wing nights when people who love cheap food and would never normally enter a pub come to suck back bowl after bowl of tendons and skin– ugh I get sick just thinking about it. It’s a sight to see.

Received piss poor service yet again tonight. Sat down and waited 20 minutes only to have server ignore me as he went past on 4 occasions despite trying to get his attention. After walking to the bar to try and rectify the situation and getting repeatedly and intentionally ignored there as well I finally had to leave. Very disappointed in what was my neighbourhood pub.

How did I never see this pub after living in Poco for 9 years? Is this place new? It sure doesn’t look like it. It has that Tudor-style appearance on the outside and inside it’s very much like a cozy country-style pub. I heard about the 30 cents per wing here from a colleague, but I assume that doesn’t apply everyday. My group of 5 ordered a hundred wings! We tried four flavours: the blue cheese, teriyaki, salt and pepper, and honey garlic. Though normally the honey garlic is my go-to flavor when I’m unsure, I loved the teriyaki and blue cheese a lot more than the honey garlic at this pub. The blue cheese wasn’t very saucy and it was kind of spicy, which paired well with the other 3 flavours we got. I wasn’t a fan of the salt and pepper. Service was definitely slow but it was a full house that day. The waitresses were cheerful on the plus side. Loved the beers(Shock Top, Kronenburg 1664) and I thought I would also like Guinness since I’ve had it a few times back in university, but Guinness just didn’t taste as I great as I remembered. The atmosphere is quite inviting overall and from when I was there, I didn’t have to shout to have someone hear me despite it being packed. I definitely want to come back!

I was a bit skeptical coming here because of the reviews but they had a pretty decent Groupon special: two burgers and a pound of wings for $ 18. When we walked in, we couldn’t decide if we should sit in the dining room or the bar. Since there was no one in the dining room, we decided on a high top in the bar area. It took a while for a server to greet us. We ordered our food, a beer, and a caesar(the caeser was on special for $ 4.50). The caesar was really good. I was pretty impressed. Our server brought our wings out first which were also pretty good. When we finished the wings, she brought out our burgers. My fiancé really liked his but I wasn’t the biggest fan of mine. I also wasn’t super hungry so I asked for mine to go. After we paid our bill and left, we realized we forgot the burger at our table, so we went back to get it. We must have only been gone for two minutes, but when we came back, they had already thrown it out! We were pretty annoyed. I know other restaurants that have a policy of waiting at least a half hour before throwing food out and they’ll offer to make the customer a new one if they throw it out before that. I told the guy behind that bar that we literally just left but he just shrugged. Two stars for wasting food for no reason.

Wing Saturday 30 cents between 2pm and 5. Breaded and plump, big. Good variety of flavours and well cooked. Suicide is good, honey garlic is very sparing on sauce, sweet and garlicky. Hot blue cheese very saucy and has some hidden chunks of blue cheese. Our service was great. By time we were finishing our beer she was bringing another. Smoking section on outdoor patio. I have to say we’ll definitely be back.

Food good. Prices good. Service bad. Maybe I went there on a bad day? Short staffed? Untrained?

Good food. Very poor service. Been the 3rd time I’ve been here. It will be my last. Going on 45 min to get 1 beer and 10 wings of which that took me 10 min to finish. Rest of time was spent waiting. Had to ask for any bill that took another 10 min. If you have tons of time to wait around. Great. Don’t expect fast service.

Used the Groupon… overall a pleasant experience. Attentive service, generous portions with the wings and burger from the menu. The only thing was that the burgers were not that memorable… bun not toasted, patty a bit mushy. The wings are quite good though… honey garlic better than the bourbon.

Great local pub. Their daily specials are always a good bang for your buck. The servers are friendly, the beers are varied, and I enjoy the comfortable atmosphere. Great for a cozy night or if you want to play pool or listen to great DJ tunes on a Friday or Saturday. =)

Went here a week ago to have a bite on a casual date-night. The wife and I ordered a plate of nachos and calamari to share. Unfortunately, both were slightly overcooked with a some of chips nearing charring and the of course that caused the calamari to be on the rubbery side. Both portions were slightly larger than average and leaning towards the generous side. Service was adequate — there seemed to be a lot of serving staff on hand compared to the amount of patrons. However, we were not given coasters for our drinks so the table got sloppy quickly and we also had to ask for cutlery and napkins instead of them being provided up front. On the plus side, they have Buzztime Trivia on hand and the bartender was able to change one of the monitors nearby to the game so we could play. We enjoy Buzztime and many establishments that used to have it around have phased it out. We’d go back again for drinks and trivia, but likely wouldn’t go for food.

Went here two times in the last month… first time we had lamb burgers with a side salad — both were terrible. The bun was so bad we sent it back only to get another equally dry and bland tasting bun. The wings and service were both good. The second time we had fish burgers and they were ok — certainly not the ‘specialty’ the menu claims it to be. The service was friendly and attentive. 1 star food and 3+ star service from the waitresses. Can’t say I’ll be back… sorry.

Groupon buyers BEWARE!!! Why do I have to give even 1 star? Zero or negative numbers required here… Paid $ 18 for our groupon to get burgers up to $ 13 value(given a link to the menu), and a pound of wings. Wings were ok. Burgers we were told aren’t the ones on the menu. Wait, what?! Hmmm… We were given the options of «plain burgers» with a leaf of lettuce, a tomato, and a quarter size pickle and an onion piece. Oh, we did get a small drop of mayo to help the pathetic dry bun. ahhhh thank you very much. No seasoning(salt or pepper), on the dry, bland chicken or the frozen grilled«beef patty»! I even asked if it was house made beef, and I’m old enough to know the difference. Otherwise I’d have taken the real chicken breast. Had to pay extra for bacon and that was the best part. Gaged it down cause we were running late and starving. Honestly, how is this called a $ 13 burger? It’s a $ 5 burger at a fair or swap meet!!! I expected to see the kitchen staff peeking around the corner at us to see our reactions to food made this badly… Told the mgr Tony our problem and he said yeah, there’s been some confusion. Shook my hand, and with a smile he listened and that was all… I told him that I have no idea of their food, and so I’ll not be back cause it was absolutely terrible. I even said there are so many better pubs with amazing food, Roos for one! He said sorry again and welcomed us to the neighbourhood. A groupon rip off or was it the pub? Very lame either way. Even without them knowing we had a groupon the drink service took over 10 minutes for water and wine at 4:45pm really? Let’s see if groupon will refund this misleading purchase… Not returning to this pub again!

The worst pub in Poco hands down. Even sitting at the bar you get ignored by the bartender; I sat for at least 30 minutes with an empty glass in front of me. He wouldn’t even make eye contact. I will say the older bartender with the pony tail was mildly better than the young entitled kid who knows zero about customer service. After waiting forever to get my bill the worst bartender ever gave me attitude. No apologies for the long wait or anything like that he just made a smartass remark about my sweater. It was like I was an inconvenience to him. This left me believing the service is unfriendly and glacially slow. Do not spend your hard earned money at the Cat and Fiddle! I’ve gone a couple times now with similar results. I won’t be going back and I’ll be sure to tell everybody I know about my experience there.

Had a horrible experience other than one party we were the only ones there. Took a half our to take our order 45 minutes to get our ok food and then nearly an hour after asking over and over again for our bill to finally arrive. It wasn’t until we got up to walk out the door that the waitress finally came to drop it by. Staff were so unwelcoming just spent time talking amonst each other

Visited a 30 year old stomping ground today. We shared a couple appies: the veggie quesadilla and garlic prawns and a couple cold Guinness. Food and beer very good. The waitress and bartender were friendly and efficient. If it was warmer inside, I may have stayed for another pint. Brrrr. Cheers!

Great deals! My friends and I go for the 25 cent perogies on Tuesdays and the 10 cent Wings on Wednesdays! The building is split in half, one half being a restaurant where all ages are allowed, and the other half has the bar and pool tables with more seating. A dance floor is right in the middle near the entrance, however I hardly ever see it being used. There are plenty of tvs to see from wherever you are sitting, and there are 2 very nice patios with seating aswell. The food is pretty good, the usual pub style type food, but not bad prices and Ive never been unsatisfied. I especially like their Caesar salad and home-style cut fries. Another plus about this place is they put together bus trips to hockey games and such which usually come with a free burger and drink before you go.
