This restaurant should really be no star! Do not patronize this restaurant! Horrible! First off, I am reviewing the branch in Burnaby on Kingsway, not Coquitlam. This is located about 1 km east of Metrotown on Kingsway. I have to say this is absolutely the worst Vietnamese restaurant I have ever set foof on. The service was atrocious, no eye contact, no smile, gives you a blank stare when you ask a question as if they do not speak English and super pricey for less than mediocre food. The Phở was average at best and expensive but my chief complaint were the fried spring rolls. Most Vietnamese restaurants charge per plate of several rolls, this restaurant charges if I am not mistaken, $ 3.00 per individual roll and they do not even use the authentic rice paper. My son wanted to order it otherwise I would have passed. Summer rolls were bland. Lastly, the tea tasted like hot water. It’s no wonder there was hardly anyone in the establishment even on a Friday night. I take all responsibility for choosing this restaurant. We should have turned around when we saw the almost empty restaurant. Our favorite Viet restaurant was closed for an employee’s party and we were all craving for Phở nearby Metrotown since we planned to go shopping after dinner. Should have just gone to the White Spot across the street.

This place is pretty big; one the biggest phở restaurant that I recall. It was shortly after 7:30pm on a Friday and there was maybe at the most 5 tables occupied while being there. That said, my order of a large phở was ready almost immediately. The waitress & server were both very polite & courteous checking on us a few times to see how the food was & if we required anything. I’m no stranger to phở and what I noticed here was that there was more meat left after the noodles were done. Normally it’s the other way around and I feel their supply of noodles was standard. So having meat at the end was a pleasant treat. Was definitely feeling full after that. I also appreciate a place that will invest in quality chopsticks versus the cheap wooden ones with splinter all over them.

I give this place 1.5 stars. I’ve driven past Phở Boi many times but never stopped till last week. The restaurant is actually pretty big and has a lot of seating. For Sunday Lunch, it was pretty empty. Us and 2 other tables. The service was ok. I ordered a large bowl of phở while my bf ordered a small. The waiter was like«what? why not a big bowl?» Found this to be a little rude and so did my bf. We also ordered a summer roll. The summer roll was good. Comes in ones. The phở was below average. I’ve been to many phở places and I found the soup lacking a lot in flavour. That and it was expensive, in my opinion, by phở standards. I’ve been to a better phở place in the neighbourhood for a lesser price. Don’t know if I’d come back.

Moved to poco started trying the phở in the area. Decided to order take out. Service cannot take orders properly even after reinstating several times. Figured I didn’t need to check the order after confirming with the server on pick up she assured it was correct. Expensive bubble tea even though it’s half the size of others in the area. There is better places you can spend your $ within the area.

This is a nice simple modern look Vietnamese Resturant. Me and my family have been there many time, when the other owner. He didn’t put MSG on the soup or food, and he really come up with authentic dish, and Healy style of food. Since new owner take over, the food quality are dropping and they put MSG on everything. That is to bad. It’s very difficult to find Vietnamese Resturant that don’t put MSG on the food, and make it more healthy style. I stop going there after I notice the food quality are not the same.

Came to see my mom in coquitlam. We were in poco because we had to do something here. We wanted phở so we decided to go to this phở Worst idea ever. I guess this place is new. The server was an idian girl. She did not understand what we wanted to order. I dont know why they put an indian girl that does not know how to talk in a vietnamise restuarant. She brought out thw wrong food. She was so rude. The entire time we were eating she was starring at us from behind the bar. It was so uncomfortable . The girl that seated us i guess is a hostess. She was so rude also she doesnt know her manners and how to say your welcome. This restaurant is an embarrsement to all the phở restaurants out there. They need to close their restaurant down

Phở is actually quite decent. Like actually. Good amount of meat, tripe, noodles, and soup. Also, for what seemed like the first time in my life, the meat was fully cooked before it got to my table(aka no redness showing). For now, I would say the noodle soup is on a pretty even plane field as the less-fancier, albeit more popular, phở places within a radius of 10 km or so — except that something seems quite off about this place. The interior decoration is well-done. Finally, there’s actually something more to see than just your usual hot meal at a phở restaurant. Great wall colors. Beautiful chandeliers. Classy table set-up. Also, everything, from the ceiling to the floor, was SO clean. No dust or grime anywhere. Anyone would be impressed by how well they take care of their property. Now I can’t believe I’m saying this, but this cleanliness scared me. Maybe it wouldn’t have bothered me had it not been for my observations that in spite of there having been four other occupied tables, it was SUPER quiet in here and the vibe seemed chilly. I don’t mean that I felt cold. I mean that the interior atmosphere gave off the feeling that there was something missing in terms of reception.

Went here with work to have lunch on a Friday. Only two other tables were there, so it was pretty quite. If you eat a plant base diet/are vegetarian there are like only 3 things to order(most things have chicken, pork or beef broth in them). I got the vegetarian meal with rice. I got three tiny piece of tofu, some rice, cut lettuce, slice pieces of carrot, three pieces of broccoli and cauliflower and sauce. It cost $ 9:40 and even after eating nearly everything, I was still hungry. You’ve got to be joking giving someone three tiny pieces of tofu. I was expecting a small bowl of tofu, not a nibble’s worth. They also have pictures of desserts that you can see through your table top. That means they get them order in. So tacky, cheap and unappetizing. The good — The service was nice and the place was clean. Unfortunately due to the price, the portion size and the quality we will not be coming back again nor will we reccomend this place to anyone.

Awful, awful, awful. I went into the place with high expectations, and left with a horrible taste in my mouth. I ordered the phở #16, and i could not finish it. The broth was so oversaturated with MSG, it gave me a headache that lasted into the next day. The meat in the soup tasted like flavorless crap, and the beef ball that i ordered did not have the chewiness i would expect, but it was mushy. On the side i had spring rolls and chicken wings. Both were oily as hell and had absolutley NO flavor whatsoever. It was a deep fried excuse. This place is an ABOMINATION, the worst of the worst. Never, ever eat here unless you like eating what i consider the worst phở i have ever tasted.

Large restaurant with only 4 full tables. Very quiet in there, almost seemed like a fancy place where you had the talk quietly… Food/taste/portions were average, the same as most other places. Service was polite, friendly and professional Fried roll used a thin spring roll wrap and not the standard wrap you get at other places. I hope they survive as previous establishments in the same location did not.
