From the awesome staff to the amazing atmosphere mint hair lounge is the best! Lisa who is the owner has a talent when it comes to hair like no other! Every time you leave her chair your hair literally feels and looks like a work of art. If you are looking for a new hair stylist anyone at mint would be what you are looking for! You get exactly what you want and won’t leave disappointed!

Brittany is a star at blonde hair — and looking after previously damaged hair. The owner, Lisa, is a fun character who is also obviously very talented.
Mint Hair Lounge is NOT Super Cuts — so don’t expect it to be cheap. However, for the talent it is very well priced. I have paid a lot more for far less!
You get what you pay for, and they are a lovely bunch. I can’t say enough wonderful things!

Absolutely fantastic service! I came in as a walk in for the first time and they got me in right away. Fabulous reception and they’re dog friendly so my pup got to sit with me while I had my hair done! I was really happy with the pixie cut I got — perfect layers and great edging around the ears. Thanks for an awesome experience! You earned a regular customer :)

I’ve been to Mint many times and have never left disappointed. It’s actually one of the only places where I’ll sit in any stylists chair simply Bc of how well they all work as a team– no one would let you leave with bad hair. Lol!
Before mint; I always felt I needed to go downtown to get styles that were on trend but these guys know what’s what.
The few times I’ve caved and gone other places (I’m terrible at scheduling ahead of time!) I’ve always had to get it fixed but a Mint expert. I’d like to say that I’ve learned my lesson except that they’re closed on Mondays and that’s often my only day off. :(

I’ve been looking for a stylist since mine moved and I’ve gone from Vancouer to as far as Surrey before I found this place.
Local owner and stylist Lisa is her name and she does my ‘do’. She’s innovative and helpful and the salon is busy and dulled with energy that makes you want to get your hair done here.

Finally, after almost 4 years of hair salon hell drifting from place to place, I discover HAIR PARADISE at Mint Hair Lounge in Port Moody.
After having moved from downtown into the burbs, it was a real struggle to find a salon close to home that wasn’t the typical suburban Sally Housecoat hair parlor staffed by drones for stylists with no real creativity or personality.
A few months back I started surfing Unilocal and the Mint website, and then found out a very good friend is a client there and said she couldn’t be happier with her stylist, Lisa, and the salon in general. So with that I booked my first appointment with Matt (major bonus you can book on line and they respond very fast to confirm).
This is literally the friendliest and most fun hair salon I’ve ever gone to. Meghan is an absolute gem who greets you with a super friendly smile and always has something fun to chat about.
It wasn’t just Meghan and my stylist, Matt, but everyone makes you feel completely at home. The vibe is casual and down to earth, balanced with professionalism. I’m glad to see them so busy as it’s obviously a place they’ve all put in a lot of effort into and are being rewarded with what obviously shows as a steady and loyal client base.
I felt immediately comfortable with Matt. Fun guy, great chairside manor and he really knows his stuff. He’s great at consultation and really works with you to achieve the look you’re wanting. I can finally again say I have a regular stylist and that’s a very comforting feeling, YAY for Matt!
If you are looking for a salon in the area with an urban and funky edge, a great vibe staffed with professional and fun stylists, Mint Hair Lounge is the place for you!!!

Great owner and stylists. Extensive knowledge about product and new trends. Very cute and love it inside! Who would of thought this little hidden gem would be right down the street from my place! Love it and thank you for awesome cut and style!!! Will be back in a couple weeks for color!

I suspect a new owner in preparation for the the big expansion that Port Moody is on the cusp of. Lots of busy stations with stylists who not only look on trend but more like trend setting. Cool, retro vibe merged with the chatty energetic salons of years past. This place is excellent
