Excellent lunch, Quebec old city at its best. French onion soup was what we hoped for and the Bison egg rolls were moist & tasty. Deer medallions a bit overcooked for medium rare yet were delicious with the sauce. Overall, all the meals exceeded expectations and the staff was great. Small and cozy, what one would expect in old Quebec.

My wife’s French Onion was the best she has ever tasted. I was fortunate enough to finish it off. It was very thick and flavorful. I had a duck and pistachio sandwich on a baguette. It was incredibly delicate and flavorful. The décor looks like it might have been a living room at one time. A small fireplace and wood accents give the dining area a very warm and welcoming ambience. Service was excellent. This bistro is very much on the main hub of traffic. Very much worth stopping in.

Awesome & friendly little place in Old Quebec. We had wild boar egg rolls, elk burger — both very well done. Must try their duck(I believe is their signature dish), which is very tasty, but really, anything here is soo good! Must try if you are in the area.

I’m starting to think incredible, personable, warm, timely service is a staple of Quebec City. Raphael, who served us, is a super nice, hilarious guy, and he’s clearly a pro. My date and I shared a sampler platter that was perfect for two for lunch and enabled us to try the homemade bison & leek sausage, duck-pistachio rillettes, confit de cuisse de canard, and the wild boar egg roll that just about blew my mind. I could have eaten about five of those egg rolls but I was happy to be able to try a few different things. They have a table d’hôte for dinner that comprises three courses for $ 30 and a lovely and varied wine list… The great reviews aren’t a joke. This place is the real deal.

Service was wonderful and welcoming. Waitress was attentive. Food was delicious and well presented. Had fish & chips, poutine(must have while in Quebec), manicotti. Outdoor seating available with heaters and blankets. Great lunch spot while shopping.

Had one of the best dinner experiences here recently and felt the need to share. Firstly, the girl at the front door helped us get seated as quickly as possible and she was so charming. I don’t know her name, only that she was recently in Hamilton for something school related, and she was sincerely one of the loveliest hostesses you could ask for. She kept us entertained while we were waiting for our table and seemed genuinely interested in the conversation. This restaurant is very small and seats probably less than 20 people, but has a romantic atmosphere. The server we had was also lovely, and gave us advice regarding the menu options. We ordered 3 pints, as well as the quiche, choucroûte, and fish and chips. All of these were absolutely incredible. They were all served with fries and a side salad so the portions were generous. The flavours were all spot on and everything was cooked to perfection. The quiche was creamy, rich and by far one of the best pieces of quiche I think I’ve ever had in my life. The fish was lightly battered and not at all greasy. And the sausage was tender and juicy. This meal was one that you walk away from and can’t stop talking about for days. This restaurant was definitely the highlight of our trip to Quebec City and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an incredible meal that surprisingly didn’t cost us a fortune unlike other mediocre restaurants. Can’t wait to visit again!

My hotel recommended this place and decided to try it. It’s located on an old cobble stone street down in the Quartier Petit Champlain. It was tiny and packed, but not much of a wait. The small size actually made it feel cozy and it didn’t feel cramped. It looked very new and clean and I loved the fireplace. Even though some of the servers didn’t speak English, they were very cooperative and calm as we figured out our order. I tried duck for the first time as an appetizer and really like it, as well as my meal. It was a bit pricey overall, but was an upper scale restaurant. I’d definitely go back!

My experience here was nothing short of spectacular, from entrance to exit. The meal was divine. I enjoyed the culinary magic of this place with the Shrimp, Lobster and Scallop casserole. The vegetable medley was generous and perfectly cooked. The salad was crisp and fresh. Raphael was our waiter and he was sincere, friendly, hospitable and incredibly accommodating throughout the experience. I ordered a red wine and he insisted I try it first which was a good thing because I didn’t particularly care for it. He then proceeded to allow me to try multiple wines until I found one I loved all the while encouraging me not to settle for anything less than one I loved. I of course ordered 8 ounces after that. Each person in my party of four loved their dish. From the deer medallions, to the mushroom ravioli and to steak and fries. We finished our meal with the maple pudding which Raphael said we’d be missing out if we didn’t have it. Thank goodness we did indulge — it was dessert perfection I’ve never found anywhere else. I was in such sweetness heaven I asked him what maple syrup was used and he took my phone and took a picture of it. Our meal finished with a complimentary glass of maple crème. I cannot recommend this place enough! Anyone looking for a delightful culinary experience must stop in. My only regret is that I went here on my last night and didn’t discover this gem on my first day. I look forward to my return! Thanks again to Raphael for making our dining experience so extraordinary.

Our hotel recommended this place for local delicacies… We got the hot Brie with walnuts and maple syrup and the escargot«stew» with bacon and leeks… Delicious!!! Then came the Elk burger with Camembert… To die for!!! I was afraid to have a very strong taste but not at all! My frenchie hubby devoured his TWO not one whole duck legs confit!!! For dessert we shared the maple syrup pudding… Moist, hot(very!) and very yummy!!! Great place, great service! A MUST go reataurant if your in the Old Quebec but please DO book a table before as they are often fully booked!

This place was recommended to us, so we went to check it out! My boo got the 3 course pre fixe for $ 25, which was a good deal and came with an apple pie for dessert! I had the steak frites(isn’t that something you have to try when in Quebec?). It was good, but not the best. We did, however, enjoy eating their poutine with aged cheddar vs cheese curds! Haha. Oh, and the bread they start you off with is good as well. The service was great, the place was cute ‘n cozy, and it was a packed house!

My wife and I stumbled upon this little place and were amazed as soon as we entered. Intimate dining experience, very modern, very relaxing. The staff was wonderful! Our waitress spoke English and was very helpful in picking out a wines to match with dinner. We ordered the meat and cheese plate and were not disappointed! Myy wife and I had such a romantic dinner and enjoyed the food and wine, I didnt think it was pricey at all. Ingredients were all fresh, presentation was a work of art!

Intimate environment, cute décor, and kind servers that knew English. Food was mediocre for the price(I feel like I could have made the food at home and possibly better).

Been here 2 days in a row. The red deer meat and escargots is a must try. Poutine tasted good too. U can always request the change of the sides to Poutine, with a little extra cost.

I had the best poutine in this restaurant. Steak frites was juicy and satisfying. Service was friendly and efficient. The ambience was warm and cozy. Their wifi was real fast too. Pricing was competitive(Quebec City restaurants aren’t cheap) but worth every cent in this restaurant.

So surprised at all of the 4+ star reviews of this place. I liked the view from the patio, but that was about it. At $ 31 each for the main, we each had the mixed seafood with the white sauce(the cassolette). The white sauce was a bit too rich for us, and the seafood was pretty average. The vegetables that came with it were overcooked and quite frankly tasted to me like a bag of frozen Green Giant vegetables. With no appetizers or desserts, and only 1 drink each, I expected a whole lot better for a meal that cost us $ 110 once tax and tip was included.

On a cold winter day, there’s nothing like a good coffee, hot chocolate and cheesecake! I stopped by this bistro with my fiancé and the good food coupled with the welcoming laid-back atmosphere was a heart-warming. We recommend. P. S. Keep an eye out for the ricotta and raspberry cheesecake; it was one of the best we’ve had!
