Not sure why all the bad reviews but this place was outstanding. Our waiter Alex took the time to explain the most popular dishes and specials and make recommendations. We weren’t rushed at all and given full attention. The food was top notch. Had he rib trio sampler which was one of the specials along with soup and included dessert and all was delicious. Would recommend!

Holy macaroni the duck confit wing sampler is fantastic. This is the dish we came here for and it didn’t disappoint!

Forth trip to Quebec, only bad food I ever had. On upper deck with no working lights. French onion soup was hot water with melted cheese, pearl onions no flavor at all. Drinks came almost alcohol free. Pouting was a joke, fries with cheese wiz. It is a place that tour buses go to. Many better places. I told them I was not going to pay and they apologized and we left.

I work in the area and went for lunch, I went inside and went to the bar, the woman working there asked if I could be helped I told her it was an order for take out and she gave me a menu, I stood there for fifteen minutes afterwards and had three staff members ask me if I had been helped and when I said no continue to ignore me, after fifteen minutes of no service I turned around and left

Worst French cuisine I ever been to. The food was cold, the steak was tough and not eatable. Only thing good about this experience was seated at the window seats where we can look at the views. In general, my advice do NOT come here.

The food was good but expansive for what we had in our plates. The hostess was very friendly but the waitress, although nice, seemed overwhelmed(place too crowded?), we had to wait quite a lot for the dishes, for the bill, when we asked for ketchup for our son. Pretzels/olives they give you with the cocktail never came but when we were already finished eating, they brought it(!). Not the best value for money. But not an awful dinner, just not amongst the best we had in Quebec city.

The view is amazing and sitting out on their large patio on a warm summer evening is fabulous! But unfortunately the food doesn’t live up to the location… or the prices. Though our appetizer was delicious, the main course had the taste, texture, and freshness of a tired, cheap buffet. The salmon was really dry and seemed as if it had been sitting out for quite some time before being served. It was also a bummer that though dessert is «included» in some of the meal options, only a select few(not the ones they recommend) are actually included, the others costing extra. And if you want to combine and just get one dessert, they won’t let you. The wine servings were really small too. Overall the service was very sweet and friendly, the view and location stunning, but the dinner not so great.

I was told at one end of the restaurant that they had a table. They walked us through the restaurant to the patio and then told us it would be ten minutes. After twenty five minutes we left. If the service was this bad I can only imagine the food. Avoid like the plague

I came here only because my tour group was locked into eating at the restaurant, and I was not surprised by what we encountered from a touristy-looking eatery. The service was slow and a little surly, the food was sub-par(our lukewarm soup was sent back to be replaced by equally lukewarm soup. For the record, I hate sending food bank to the kitchen, but it was the tour guide’s decision), and the alcohol selection was poor. There are too many good restaurants in town to bother with this one, despite its good location.

Good poutine and good prices. It is located in Basse-Ville, the lower part next to the cruise ship dock, so a bit far from the central Place D’arms. This allows for a bit of walking to get there(a good thing after the very caloric Québécois food :), but also allows for much lower prices than at Haute-Ville above. We had several different poutine dishes(the pork ones are awesome, the duck ones are different, but not to my taste), some wine(very decently priced for a glass) and some beer, also at a good price. The patio on the second floor is awesome(as long as the bikers don’t rev their beasts below :) and the service was great, everyone spoke good English!

Great place to go when it’s warm as there outside seating is huge! Food is decent and beer is cold. Our server Alexandre was amazing which was the highlight of the stop. Prolly could drop the zebra theme and stay with the old world theme.

The service is sort of slow in a nice way. It’s good to sit and enjoy your meal and company but not great when you need to be somewhere. We got the soup, main course, desert, and tea as well as the duck wings. First: The duck wings were great. Tender and falling off the bone. The sauce is tangy and I really enjoyed it, although I was hoping for more maple flavor. The soup was pretty decent. The waiter had mistakenly brought me the wrong dish, apologized and within 5 minutes brought the correct one. The salmon was great and the different mayo’s they have we’re all great. They felt bad about making a mistake that they let us choose from the main desert menu and had the crème’ brûlée trio… Believe me when I tell you that it was the best I’ve ever had. If you’re a crème’ brûlée fan and you eat here and DON’T get it, you’re an asshole. All in all a nice place for lunch or dinner!

Came here twice so far… Will continue to come back. Fantastic place. Great food, combined with great service. Prices are very fair and not over inflated like I expected them to be. Our 18 month old daughter even liked it.

This meal tasted like a $ 100 meal. But my husband’s GIANT bowl of mussels was only $ 15(20% off when you check in even though it says it’s only for March) and my catch of the day(mahi mahi) was cooked to perfection. Places have a tendency to over cook mahi. They gave me a carrot passion fruit soup with my meal and I was not even planning to try it because it didn’t sound good to me. I’m so glad I did! I finished the whole bowl it was amazing. Crazy flavor!!! The bread was great too and the service was perfect. They made us feel very welcome and everything was fantastic. We’ve gone back now and it’s always been just as good!

We had a great time at this restaurant. On our first visit, we tried the barbecue sampler and found the maple and chipotle marinade on the duck wings to be our favorite. Our first waiter, Gabriel, was new to the city and wait staff. He was fun and solicitous. The second visit to get more of the duck wings was on a night with several large ship groups were in the restaurant. Marie-Pierre, worked our foursome and the large groups. She did a great job. Try the mixed platter to see what you like best. The wine list is adequate. There are other choices but the barbecue is their trademark. The ribs, salad and fries are very satisfying. Overall, this was a winner for us.

Had dinner here one night. Yes, it’s close to the waterfront and the cruise ship docks so it’s a little touristy. The techno music is also a bit too loud. But we actually had a pretty good meal here. We sat on the smaller upper patio overlooking the river so the view was outstanding. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and it wasn’t too crowded which was nice. I had the mussels in a wine sauce and they were very good. My wife had the half slab of ribs with a chipotle bbq sauce and frites with 3 aioli sauces which she really enjoyed. A nice selection a draft beer made for a perfect night out.

We came here as part of a tour group from the states for our first night dinner experience in Quebec. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience as most of the other tour group had as well. They seemed very disorganized and not prepared for a group. Many received their meals cooked wrong(filet mignon). There were 3 that I knew of that didn’t even get their meals until everyone else was done. The portions were small, the service was not friendly or attentive. The experience was less than satisfying. Unfortunately this was our first dining experience in beautiful Quebec. I would not recommend this place at all.

We came across this place whilst strolling through lower old town looking for food and decided to give it a go. The building is quite old with wooden beam ceilings and lovely zebra print chair décor. The service from our waiter was pretty quick and attentitive. We decided to each have a burger and a beer. I had the Club which was crumbed chicken with pesto, cheese, spinach leaves and some red pepper served with fries, onion rings and coleslaw whilst my bf had a burger with mushroom. Whilst we were waiting we got marinated olives and pretzels and we also were given a selection of three flavoured mayos to have with our fries. The food was pretty good and was served fairly quickly. The restaurant also had a nice vibe cause there was a musician playing piano and the accordion and involving everyone in songs. Overall we were not disappointed although it did cost us $ 30 each for a burger and beer which is a tad on the expensive side but what do you expect in tourist quebec.

After roaming around Old Quebec City trying to find a place where we could be seated right away we finally found Côtes A Côtes Resto-Grill tucked away in a street corner. We weren’t expecting too much from this place since all the other restaurants in the area either couldn’t seat us at all that night or had an hour plus wait time. We were so wrong. The service and food was excellent. The décor is intimate — dim lighting, white tablecloth and zebra-print chairs. I have learned that you can’t go wrong(all the time) with zebra-print chairs. Major plus — they were playing the NHL All Star competitions on their flat screen. We were given a small bowl of olives and chips while we were reviewing the menu. Most of us opted for their 3 course $ 30 set menu. I had the following: Lobster bisque with shrimp served in what they call a puff pastry tulip. It was really good but could have been a bit hotter. By the time I had it was on the warmer side but it’s fine. I did eat it rather quickly(I was hungry!). Half a rack of baby back ribs with fries, onion rings and mayo(ketchup apparently is hardly served in Quebec restaurants). This hit the spot. Fall off the bone, juicy meat smothered in BBQ sauce. Ah-mazing. Half a rack is plenty — even the guys were happy with the amount. Raspberry cake — I figured I should have something light for dessert so I opted for this over the bowl of fruit(yeah, I can’t really call a bowl of fruit dessert unless if comes with a sponge cake, custard or whipped cream). Anyway, this fit the bill but it still tasted a tad frozen in the centre. We came out satisfied and stuffed. Loved it.
