C’est super bon, un super bon déjeuner fancy écoeurant et en plus, le café latte est malade. Si vous cherchez un déjeuner standard style 2 oeufs bacon saucisse, ce n’est pas la place.

Ate here last year and it was the best brunch I ever had! This time I planned to eat here, my only have-to this trip. First a small complimentary tasty sweet, fruity gel with creamy topping and sprinkle of granola. I had a beef croquette with fried egg on top of something delicious I can’t remember.(Don’t speak French so my descriptions are so lacking!) My mates had: Le Sang Des Saints Homemade blood pudding, French toast with leek and swiss cheese, soft-boiled egg, mustard sauce L’Abbé Chamel Poached egg on a buckwheat waffle, ham from la ferme turlo, bechamel sauce, mushrooms and roasted potatoes Can’t find description of what I had. Only had 45 minutes to scarf down this scrumptious meal, 2 mimosas, a bowl of cappuccino but so full and happy on way to airport. Forgot to take pix of our 3 meals! All delicious, heavy enough for dinner but good for a day trucking around in the cold in Quebec! It will be an annual pilgrimage at least if I have my way!

Stopped in here on our first night in the city, and we certainly lucked out. Lovely salmon tartare and a vegetarian plate with beets and greens. The food and the imagination of the chef and cooks here are nothing short of spectacular. We are eager to visit the city again, and will certainly make this one of our stops.

«A Leaning Bell Tower». Awesome little place to dine here in Quebec City. A bit tight, but nice and cozy overall. It’s a little pricey, but really worth the experience. Every dish is crafted by chefs with accuracy and love. The service is just a bit slow but very knowledgeable and courteous. Ask for wines produced here in the province of Quebec! Might want to call them to reserve a table in advance.

Brunch was very good. I had the salmon tartar salad and everything on my plate was gone by the time I was done. My husband had the pulled pork and be enjoyed his plate as well.

Came here for dinner with a big group of 30 on a Saturday night and I wouldn’t say it was mind blowing but it was better than most. Since we were such a big group they gave us a set menu so I’m not sure if that effected the experience or quality of the food from norm. I’m also unsure of whether their AC was broken or if they don’t have it at all as they had the ceiling fans going the whole time. The presentations of all the dishes were beautiful and the service was friendly and attentive. I got the veal carpaccio to start and while everything was fresh, I felt like it was missing something. Maybe just a pinch of salt or just a bit more of that sauce they put on. It was good but it didn’t wow me. For the main course I got the beef shoulder sirloin with veggies and my boyfriend got the risotto with jerk chicken. The beef was cooked to about medium well(I normally eat my beef blue rare so it was not as satisfactory for me). The veggies also lacked a bit of flavour but there was a sweet potato(and pumpkin?) purée on the bottom that was delicious. I tried the risotto too which I thought was a little saltier than I usually like it but it was good. The jerk chicken was a little dry though. Onto dessert! The white chocolate ice cream with sweet biscuits and strawberries was yummmmmm. We also tried the blackberries with puff pastry and whipped cream but we both liked the ice cream more. Last thing in this overly long review, don’t get the sangria. It sounds good but it was not…

It was so good to find a restaurant beloved by locals — unfortunately, French-speaking locals who don’t use Unilocal,so a bit difficult to discover! The food here is the kind you can clearly tell a lot of heart and soul went into it. «Flavorful» these days has come to mean«lots of salt,» and I too love the salt, but the chef here seems to have created dishes with lots of ingredients to avoid over-salting the food. I really appreciated the effort. It’s not an easy task… And BTW, the meals in the Unilocal photos appear a bit«precious.» Not to worry — the meals are actually quite hearty and satisfying. And the service was so attentive, natural and nice! Highly, highly recommended!!!

Had a fabulous meal here on a Wednesday night. It was quiet enough to have a conversation easily, but with a cheerful hum of noise from the other patrons to keep it from being too quiet. Very friendly wait staff helped us figure out the menu items in English and make sure we had everything we needed. Every item we ordered was top notch: cold asparagus soup and salmon tartare for starters, special of the day halibut and chicken risotto for the main dish, and lemon tart and ice cream sandwich for dessert. The name I used for these dishes does nothing to describe the complex, perfectly melded flavors each one had. For God’s sake, have the ice cream sandwich!

With the founders working there, it’s not surprising that everything is so beautifully composed. Cocktails, wine list, staff. Over the last five years, they’ve been incredibly consistent. Things like the salmon tartare and carrot salad are beautiful and fresh. Brunch is rightly famed.

Another lovely quirky and incredibly delicious spot in St Roch, this time on the stretch of St Joseph where you can find a couple great music venues, bookstores, and restaurants. I ate vegetarian here, which can be tricky in meat-heavy traditional Québécois cuisine, but this was one of the best vegetarian meals I’ve ever had. I started with the pink grapefruit salmon tartar, which was a lovely light tart combination, and then had this incredible marscapone and mushroom flan crazy plate of deliciousness that is hard to describe but has my mouth watering. Excellent cocktails, excellent dessert, a truly amazing meal with charming service. Can’t wait to go back.

It’s fine. Very safe place for people to eat. Staff were kind as usual for Canadiens and classy as expected for French. Food was fine, very good, could not complain. I could definitely get tastier in Brooklyn with similar vibe, though in Brooklyn you probably would get piss-poor attitude as an accompaniment. This is a place most hotels recommend, also universally recommended as the ‘best brunch in Quebec City, and for that it’s not a terrible option. I wouldn’t recommend for a NYer though, I’d rather go somewhere for poutine. If you’re my parents, it’d be charming and probably perfect.

Best brunch I’ve ever had. The interior is bright and chirpy. The servers are nice and friendly. It’s the quintessential QC City restaurant: very eclectic and French. The menu changes I presume but we had the Venison and the Duck.

I tried this spot in the St-Roch neighborhood for brunch with 3 friends and had a lovely experience overall. Here it goes: The place has a great vibe: the interior is bright with high ceilings and the art on their walls at the time was interesting and worked well with the space(it looks like they have an art gallery thing going on so the art probably changes seasonally). The service was excellent: quick, friendly and on point. no complaints here. The food was quite good and was presented beautifully: I tasted the eggs Benedict made with homemade gravlax and the dish was absolutely perfect. I also ordered the«vegetarian» option on the brunch menu which was a poached egg served with chili sin carne on a roasted slice of spaghetti squash. It was good but a little too«squashy» for my personal taste. The presentation was gorgeous however and I’d definitely recommend it to vegetarians who eat eggs and don’t have huge appetites. All in all I had a lovely experience here. The coffee was good, the food was yummy, and the space is pretty and comfortable. I think most people would give this restaurant a 5 on 5 but I personally prefer experiences that are perhaps a little more eclectic than Le Café du Clocher Penche could provide. But that’s just me.

We came by for brunch on our way out of Quebec City and weren’t sure if we could get a seat at the last minute as the best restaurant list was recently released last when we visited this place but sure enough they squeezed us into one of the last tables. The best brunch I had last year. Everything was cooked perfectly and they even brought a small starter which we didn’t order and was delicious. Service was excellent and I wanted to come back immediately for a second brunch… like a hobbit.

I’m giving 5 stars because of how accommodating this restaurant was for vegetarians. This is a classy, rustic yet modern bistro specializing in locally grown produce and locally raised meats. We had gazapacho and a cheese plate for starters, a chard lentil wrap for the entrée, and a seasonal raspberry pastry for dessert. Each dish was better than the last! The meal was delightful and the service was impeccable.

The concierge at the Fairmont Château Frontenac recommended this«famous» brunch spot so we gave it a shot. She said that we would most def need a rsvp because it tends to get very busy, even on the weekdays. It was about a 25 – 30 minute walk from the old port. Brunch begins with this amazing parfait made of honey maple JELLY, raspberry jam, yogurt and crumble. DE-FRIGGIN-LISH. I ordered the L’abbé Chamel and my bf got the Le péché du pêcheur. Both were incredible. Your meal also comes with a latte or coffee(have lactose free milk for the latte! yay!) and begins at $ 16. Some dishes are an additional charge of $ 1-$ 3. It was one of the best brunches we’ve had while traveling. A must on the to-do list if you are going to the QC.

Excellent food with relaxed atmosphere(not stuffy like places with this quality of food and price range often are). All the staff was great. Tried: Microbrewer wheat beer, a signature cocktail, salmon tartar, sweet bread, fish of the day and pork of the day.

Favourite bistro in Q.C. Excellent walk from old Quebec. Fun to visit for busy lunch services during the week = get ready for a noisy dining room. Much quieter at dinner time. I recommend going to both services. Menu features inventive Québécois cuisine. Wine list features many affordable French bottles(a lot from Loire, one of my favourite wine regions). Service is friendly and familiar. I always feel at home here. Merci, Mathieu, Steve et Thomas!
