A surprise visits from one of my uncles brought us to this place, as I let him call the shots, and on the phone he asked me if I knew about this place is Empire Plaza that servies the best beef brisket and innards in town. In this regard… I really have no clue, so he told me the location, and off I went from there to meet him. It’s located in the food court, and you really can’t miss it… located across James Snacks(you know… claypot rice!) this is the only other food court stall in this tiny mall that is busy. When I got here at 12 noon orders were already being lined up by the trey, as people were sitting at their tables… as they already ordered… and at the counter you can see the treys being set up with a plastic spoon, a wrapped pair of wooden chopsticks, a few napkins, and a small dipping dish of chili oil. I really couldn’t decide what I wanted… the menu was pretty vast in terms of innards that were available with rice… or rice noodles, I finally decided on a mixed batch with a side of beef balls in flat rice noodles and soup. Everytime I thought my order was ready, it would be someone else’s order… the people know about this place, be prepared to wait. even if it is just for a bowl of meat on noodle soup. So when my bowl finally came out. it came out in a real bowl. nothing disposable, and big in size. I wouldn’t call this cheap food court food… but I would put some value to it, as the quality is restaurant like. without the tip at the end! I brought the trey, with bowl on top. back to my table and the broth was clear. Sprinkled with some green onions and parsley on top for garnish with many floating pieces of beef innards… or the joy(horror for some. you can order something else!), underneath was the flat rice noodles(which they also sell uncooked by the bag), and it was a perfect medley. I wasn’t hungry… but I polished this dish, sometimes even drinking the clear broth, and not feeling any after effects… except being full. Each meaty mystery piece to many others. was cooked perfectly, each had the right texture, and natural flavour… and if you needed to wash your throat down. they provide a small cup of tea on the side. I will be coming back to try other things… I even saw ‘snake soup’ on the menu and Laksa… which surprised me. If you are looking for a quick getaway for food(remember I didn’t say cheap!). or need something to-go… this one really surprised me. definitely a 4.5 and a waiting to return for me.

Haven’t been here for ages, and surprised no other Unilocalers been here yet. They’re known for their beef brisket, keep you guys posted ;) very soon Located inside the Empire Plaza, across from the supermarket. And the only food court one open early at 10am.
