Uptown restaurant. Went on a Sunday, restaurant was quiet, clean and staff very friendly. Had the fish taco’s which were very tasty. Spouse had the breakfast dinner with fish cake which was also very good. Prices a bit higher the some other restaurants. Would recommend highly. Spinach cheese dip however looks more like puréed spinach although the taste is correct just could not get past the appearance.

Just returned from Britts Rockwood ! Had the Fish and Chips. The lightly battered haddock and was cooked to perfection ! Chase, our waiter was very accommodating and friendly. Looking forward to spending time on their outside eating deck when the weather warms.

GREATBEERGREATFOOD. EATHERE! The seafood chowder was AMAZING. A Bowl of DELICIOUSNESS. YUM. Was here just for the day — as it was the only stop on our cruise ship — and I must say it was better than anything they served us on the cruise — well maybe not the lobster ;-) Also had the black bean burger which was HUGE and tasty. My date had the fish tacos which were delicious. Our server was helpful and friendly and if we’re ever in Saint John again we will definitely stop here! Eat well! Drink well!

The fish and chips were delicious. The home made tartar sauce was excellent as was the coleslaw. My partner had the fish tacos which he said were the best he’s ever had. I would have liked to be more adventurous in what I chose to eat but the prices jump drastically and the portions aren’t worth the price/service/portion or ambience. Still, the food was good and I had no complaints. The prices may be a little unrealistic if you live on a budget. No budget? Go ape shit.

Love this place, great food, nice rear patio, décor fab, staff awesome, food was great. Server John Thompson was the best and had such a great chat about common friends in Montréal. Wish we had time to go back try other items and beer. A definite spot you must try.

Just left after having Britt’s club. It was okay. The bun was burnt. The service was not good. I was at the bar eating alone and I saw my server twice. Once to give me a drink and once to get my order. It wasn’t very busy but he must have been too busy for me. No one asked if my food was ok or if I needed water or anything at all.

I had the steak poutine and a Dave Matthews Cocktail. Both were delicious! I also had a piece of chocolate mousse cake for dessert. Very yummy. The atmosphere is cool– very busy at the bar. Definitely would go back again.

First time here, busy little spot with bare brick walls and a long bar. Prolly seats 35 – 40 max. The menu is small and not totally original but the food is well prepared and delicious. we started with the potato skin nachos, lot’s of topping but not enough salsa. The guacamole is great. I had the peanut butter jelly time burger with fries *($ 17) and it was a rich and delicious! The fries were a frozen product either McCain or Cavendish and you’ll find them in a few spots around the city, a good product but not overly original especially when you see fingerling potatoes served with the special. My wife had the fish tacos($ 12? I believe), also quite tasty and the portion sizes were very good. Our other guest had the panko-herb crusted haddock($ 21 –ish) and said it was quite delicious. They have a fairly extensive beer and cocktail menu with quite a few locals on tap. The service overall was ok, we found the waitress a little shrill(her voice), intrusive and pushy. The place wasn’t packed so don’t rush to turn the table over.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday. You should make reservations because it did get quite busy. I sat at the bar and had the steak and eggs. The temperature of the steak was a bit low which was also thrown off by the cold chimichurri sauce. The eggs were cooked perfectly and overall it was a decent meal. The price was a tad high in my opinion. I would come back.

Stopped by here for brunch one recent weekend morning. The smoked salmon benedict was pretty average, but I did appreciate being able to try all sorts of Canadian craft brews with my meal. Here, the female server on duty that morning was very obliging and patient with my tasting and choosing process, while the male server seemed a bit irked that there was another customer to deal with(even though the place was half full). Still, a decent choice for brunch in downtown Saint John, housed in a beautifully done space that’s surprisingly bright inside and combines modern décor, murals from local artists, and the historic charm of an older building near the waterfront.

Best restaurant and pub in Saint John easily. And why is that do you say? Well here are my reasons/ — First and foremost the service. When you have people like Roy, Glen, JT, Corey, Emily and basically everyone else in the team you have the best service likely in the Maritimes. And no, I am not a mole because I know their names. I am simply a regular who has gotten to know the great staff here. — The Food. A lot has changed over the years since Jim and others have come on board in the kitchen. From the seasonal menu changes, to the daily soup and sandwich specials to everything else that is made from scratch onsite. — The Beer. Britts seems to be focusing more and more on micro brew and import beers which is great in my opinion. They will always offer Moosehead, Coors and Keith’s on tap but as they continue to offer Picaroons, Pumphouse and other local beers, I will continue to return often. — The Atmosphere. Britts attracts more of a professional crowd and is generally«bro free» which is good for me. Anyway, whether you live in SJ or are a visitor to the city, pop into Britts, and grab a seat at the bar. And while you are at it, order a Britts Brew.

I don’t give out five stars easily, but Britt’s gets my vote. The food was great, atmosphere was great, great wait staff. I had a burger with a gluten free bun, cooked perfectly with lots of homemade condiments to choose from. My dad had the butter chicken with nan. Okay, so the pub fare was all over the map, but it was all good. We did order«fresh» spring rolls, with I was sorely disappointed to see were in fact wrapped in filo pastry and fried… not for the celiac. My dad ate them though and was quite pleased. He cut the spicy sauce by requesting ranch dressing and mixing the two. That would be my southern father for you. No reflection on the food, he puts ranch on everything. They had a nice wine selection and it would be a good place to go just for drinks. Seems like lots of locals go there and felt pretty hip. They have some nice paintings up based on the original artist whose studio it used to be. The new ones have various current community people in them and the artist himself. Our waiter told us all about them and that was a pretty fun story. I also thought the prices were quite reasonable. Overall, delicious and I would defiantly go back… despite the«fresh» spring rolls.

Britt’s is in a handsome building, a simple pub food menu but good execution and solid service. Nothing too crazy creative but the crab cake and shrimp appetizers, salads and steaks were great with friendly helpful waiters. It is here where I had my first fiddlehead experience tonight and I liked it!
