Baskets in the park has to be one of my all time favourite spots in Edmonton and area. They have a huge selection of kitchenware, Pandora, and miscellaneous snack foods and trinkets– all of which that make great gifts for any woman or man in your life. I know if I’m ever stuck on a gift idea for my mother, I make my way on over to Baskets in the Park; only to be greeted by the most friendly and knowledgable staff! There is no question they’re super experienced in all areas, and my mother loved her customized pandora bracelet and selection of teas and snack foods. As well, from a secret Santa, I was gifted one of their baskets, and I’d have to say, one of the best gifts! Super tasteful and well put together, and I’m still enjoying it even after the holidays have past. I would definitely gift one of those to someone else upon any occasion! On top of all of that, I’d have to say the best part is, is that it’s completely and 100% family owned and run. you can tell they really put their heart and soul into this quirky little joint, it translates through the customer service and product quality. They had an amazing dream to call their own, and made that dream into reality, I really hope their business flourishes, it’s small businesses like this that deserve it most! All in all, I’ve never had a bad experience, and would highly recommend this amazing little one stop shop! :)

I was in the area so decided to stop in. Was greeted by a gentleman who was very nice. There was a woman in the kitchen part who did not even acknowledge me. I was disappointed as I had a question about a kitchen item. I asked the man and he was unsure so he went and got someone who knew I found a unique item that I didn’t know that I needed. They sell Pandora, unique kitchen items, pots and pans, scarves, and other niknaks. I did not know that they made baskets even with the name. They should maybe do a little display if they still do baskets. It is a place to go for that person who is hard to buy for

I must admit when I walked in the door I had no idea how they came up with the name Baskets In The Park. It was not until I came home and checked out their website that I found out they specialize in custom gift baskets for special occasions. The lady at the front was friendly enough when I came in the door but I would have appreciated if she came out from behind the counter to speak to me and see if there was anything I needed help with because if I had known they had gifts to celebrate new babies I would have bought alot more than what I walked out with today. They carry a really wide range of interesting products including kitchen stuff and jewelry. I am pretty much a one pan keep it simple kind of gal but I think if your a from scratch cooking whiz you would have a great time checking out all the different pots, pans, and gadgets they sell here. Alot of the stuff looks pricey but I think what they charge is fair for the quality of item your getting. I left with a really gorgeous scarf for myself and when I brought it up to the till saw they have a rewards program for their customers. Thankfully there is no annoying card to carry around and they just keep track of everything on their computer. I applaud the intelligence of that decision as I think rewarding your customers for their loyalty is a great way to keep people shopping local businesses. I am really quite pleased with the scarf and could see myself making return visits when I am in Sherwood Park. It is a new area they are just developing near Millennium Place so the location seems a bit awkward right now but I think when all the new businesses go in and more people get drawn out that way they will see an increase in foot traffic. I just hope when that happens they come out from behind the counter and get more engaged with people. You can’t always assume everybody who walks in has been in before and you might be costing yourself potential sales by not educating people about your products and services.
