Update: went back twice since my last review. The second time we went the shop wasn’t open even though it was within the times posted on their website. You might want to phone first if you’re coming from any distance. The third time we went their soft serve machine had gone out for servicing and would be gone for a week… disappointing.

Lovely little place with gelato, sorbet, and ice cream. The staff was super friendly and willingly offered samples. I picked up a medium(4 oz) lemon sorbet for $ 4.95 + tax. The sorbet was good though the texture could be improved. Overall, quite enjoyable for someone who is trying to avoid dairy. I do find the pricing a bit too high for my tastes — so this will stay in the realm of a rare treat. I will be back to try their soft-serve, which is also dairy-free and only costs $ 2.95. I am looking forward to that. :-)

I came in with my sister on a hot Saturday afternoon… When we arrived there was a line up all the way out the door so it must be good :) I decided on keylime because I love citrus flavors. My sister ordered the colorful one(I can’t remember the name). It’s a cozy ice cream shop which is cute but can be quite tight when there’s so many ppl crammed in all at once. The ice cream was great! I love how cold and flavorful it was, you just can’t go wrong with ice cream lol . I will definitely come back whenever i’m in St. Albert.

Well, this place is quaint! Ok, it’s teeny, it’s tiny, it barely has standing room, but By George it has delicious ice cream, sorbets and gelato! With all the product coming from Foothills Creamery, Chapman’s(the premium label, not the stuff that is available to buy at Save-On), and of course the insanely insatiable Pinocchio’s products — this is most definitely a wonderful little Mom n’ Pop place to take the kiddos for a cone. While I was in though, I actually never saw any kids(nor families)… I did see 3 separate elderly couples come in for«date night»(adorable!) What I am trying to get at is that this place is geared towards the very young and very old. It is not ‘cosmopolitan flavours’ that you find at Rosso, Café Leva or Cravings Gelato. Nor it is ‘On Fleek’ and über trendy like Pop Bar. It is lovely, and worth your time St Albert — so enjoy!

OMG! I’ve died and gone to Heaven! Our own local Gelato, sorbet(REALSORBET), and ice cream shop in St. Albert serving locally made frozen heaven from Pinocchio! And no my nose isn’t growing ;-) Pinnochio’s uses all natural ingredients — You won’t find anything artificial in this goodness! Prices are SUPER reasonable — I think it was $ 3.50 for one scoop or $ 5.75 for two. They offer house made waffle cones, waffle bowls, and toppings! Though, the stuff is soooooo good — who needs toppings? We opted for Gelato goodness — a chocolate hazelnut and amaretto in one bowl and lime and raspberry sorbet in our other bowl — MMM… Good! And then we picked up 2 pints of sorbet to go for only $ 6.50 each — and if you know your real sorbet, that is a STEAL of a deal! They offer larger sizes for $ 9.75 I think — next time, we will save even more $$$ and just get the giant ones to go! We opted for lemon thyme and raspberry tarragon. Not your average run of the mill flavours — a treat that is for sure! Pinnochio’s ice cream makes their treats custom made for local restaurants and these funky flavours are recently made for Blue Pear if I remember correctly and that is why they are so funky! Gepetto’s Gelato orders extras for their customers since Pinnochio’s is already doing up the custom batches for the restaurants. There was also a cucumber mint in addition to all the normal sorbet flavours in the freezer — lemon, blueberry, raspberry… Mmm… My mouth is watering at just thinking about it. I can’t wait to go back and try some more! I uploaded pics — Check them out! PS — Oops… I forgot to mention that the staff were super nice, too!
