I ordered a caesar salad, and a seafood chowder Chowder was very tasty, and the salad looked good. huge portion for a side However, one of our dining mates found a moldy croûton. so they took back all the salads I wouldn’t go back, especially since St. John’s is full of good eateries

Staff was very good but the food was ok but nothing great, One the + side this place has a nice view of the St. John’s harbor.

The food was alright — inexpensive for the most part compared to the rest of the city. The food was bland, and had to ask for condiments and refills. The wait time between order and food service was over 40 minutes(and it was only cheeseburgers). Then the order was not correct. Waitress was friendly and apologetic. Overall a kitchen fail — but restaurant was clean and staff were courteous — hence the 3 stars. I would make it a 2 ½ if I could.

Decided to use the Quality Inn’s restaurant. I have to say this food is one step above cafeteria style dining. Should Nacho’s be microwaved? Should steak be reheated for a steak sizzle? Everything comes out of cafeteria steamers. I would have expected more. I had a plain view of the kitchen so I could see line staff working their dip and serve magic. When I told the wait staff that my nachos were soggy and I won’t eat microwaved nachos, she advised me that no one ever complained about them. To top it all off, they tried to charge me for the nachos. Go somewheres else. $ 17.99 for microwaved nachos … Seriously?

A great place to bring a significant other. Outstanding view of the harbour and a very attentive staff. The menu offers something for everyone and at reasonable prices.

They’re located next to the harbor, a bit on top of a hill in downtown St. John’s. This restaurant is probably convenient if you’re staying at the hotel nearby or something, otherwise this isn’t what St. John’s is really all about. Their portions and prices are mediocre at best. I ate here so long ago all I remember were the cheese potato skins which were yummy(but sooo unhealthy)! I absolutely loved the view from where we were seated. You could see the fog rolling in over the bay as the clouds covered the sun. Probably won’t be back here, though.
