Good food presented in a manner far better than your normal pub. They are very conscience of the local theatre curtain times and present the bill accordingly.

Fine if you need a meal before a show. We made reservations because we were a larger group. Meals and the bill came in plenty of time for us to get the theatre. It’s close to the Avon, but a hike to the Festival. Booths seat four, tables accommodate larger and smaller groups and there is high-top bar seating. The resto is spread over two rooms. It gets a bit loud when full which it was by the time we left. It’s big menu, which raises the question of what they do well. It’s all over the map, literally. In our experience the more accurate statement is that they do many things adequately. One of party pronounced the burger to be just fine. No trouble with my allergies. GF and vegetarian options. The chicken pot pie was fine. Service was fine. It can’t be easy to serve that many people within such a short time frame.

Loved it! This was the best Irish pub experience I’ve had in a long time. They have exquisite pairings of ingredients that bring out the most fantastic flavours of the traditional fare. They also off a decent and a half micro-brew list on top of a full bar. Great service and ambiance.

Smoked salmon irish boxty… I have never heard of such a creation before… but it was totally worth the venture into the unknown! The potato pancake itself was very nicely prepared, and the dill cream sauce was just a touch dilly and not overly rich. I thought a touch of salt brought out the flavours a bit better — but personal preference of course. I would totally recommend this dish! I am very pleased I stumbled upon this place in my travels.

We went to Molly Bloom’s before the theater last week. We were a party of five, and were seated immediately around 5:30 for dinner. There were great choices in beers/wines/cocktails and the food menu had some unique choices as well. One in our party suffers from celiac disease and needs to be gluten-free. They were able to accommodate that without any issue. In fact, the Smoked Salmon Irish Boxty that she ordered made me jealous of my own meal! We were done well before show time and were able to do a little shopping in the theater gift shop!

Gord and I had supper at Molly Bloom’s. We’ve been there in the past and it’s been hit and miss(the last time was a huge miss). I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich(with no lettuce). It was good and I’d get it again. The chicken was big … and juicy and crunchy! Gord ordered the Macaroni & Cheese with a side soup(it was chicken potato). He enjoyed both and would get them again. We’re glad we stopped in for supper as we enjoyed it. The food was delicious and our server was friendly and took good care of us. We’ll be back!

The pre-show, Saturday night dinner crowd seemed a little overwhelming for the kitchen and it took almost an hour before our meals were served. Our server was so nice and apologetic, though, that we still left feeling we’d had a decent experience, and that says a lot. Our fish and chips and pesto turkey sandwich were good and worth the wait. I think that management simply needs to re-visit their systems for pre-theatre nights during the Festival, and try to get food out a little more quickly.

Molly Blooms is great, we go to the restaurant 3 – 4 times per week. Molly Bloom’s has an extensive vegetarian menu, including gluten-free, vegetarian gravy which is awesome! The Veggie Burger is great! Taite loves the fish and chips and eats them every Wednesday when they have all you can eat Fish & Chips. ALLYOUCANEATFISHANDCHIPSROCKS! Service is consistent, Emily is one of the friendliest servers I have ever met, and she has a fantastic memory! I am allergic to mint, they never bring mints to our table with the Bill, and she always recalls what we are upto! How Super! I love the service… many other services also have fantastic memories, great senses of humour and generally they are just fashionable and down to earth! Very occasionally I find Molly Bloom’s is out of certain types of alcohol. It is a light complaint, because the mixed drinks are excellent. Mill St. Organic is also excellent! I was a bit sad when they discontinued having Michelob Ultra, it is definitely one of my favorites and they were the only bar in town who had it on tap. I do however enjoy the Sorbet Vodka(Raspberry) and other delicious drinks they have. I highly recommend getting the beer list, the servers are all fantastic and never look annoyed telling you the amazing selection they have on tap, everyone there is a peach I can also appreciate that they change their menu in a seasonal way which keeps the menu interesting and they don’t tend to take anything off that I have missed terribly. *I did love the tempura beans, let’s hope they are back for the winter) I do love Molly Bloom’s overall, and this is one of the many reasons we consider it our Stratford Haunt. I brought my Aunts here, as I often bring my Mom and she LOVES it! The night I brought my Mom and Auntsunfortunately there was a terrible, sreaming, unpracticed death metal band playing at 7:30PM, we left before ordering food, but the staff(extremely nice about it) said they didn’t book that terrible band and they were sorry about the noise. Otherwise, every band I have seen at Molly’s has been pretty fantastic! I do love the variety, the functional easy to understand menu, the drinks and the friendly faces! It is my favorite place in Stratford, I recommend a booth, very intimate feeling for a date night, or hanging with friends! Friday or Saturday? You may want to make a reservation, expecially in festival season… Atmosphere is anywhere from casual, to pre or post show dinner. 5 Stars! I rarely give a 5 but Molly Bloom’s in Stratford is consistently awesome! yes for that!

We had an opportunity to try Molly Blooms for dinner while in town recently. They supposedly had a new menu, and we noticed it was more eclectic than the usual Irish pub. We visited on a Tuesday, which was .49 cent wings night. We started with ten of their barbecued wings, which were battered and deep fried, and covered in a pretty good tangy barbecue sauce. The wings were coming out of the kitchen quickly and during the whole evening, so they are obviously popular. Our mains were the breaded pork tenderloin, the irish whiskey chicken and the macaroni and cheese. The pork was local and breaded on site, and paired with a Dijon mustard sauce, mashed red potatoes, and fresh green beans. The chicken was prepared with the same mashed potatoes and a mushroom /Irish whiskey sauce and a seasonal vegetable medley(looked to be at least two, if not three types of mushrooms, including shiitake). Mac and cheese was accompanied by a small mixed salad. All of our dinners were well executed and seemed to be freshly prepared. The place was very busy, and they had an excellent beer selection, with many offered on tap. Highly recommended.

My family and I stopped in at Molly Bloom’s for dinner on our first night in Stratford. We just needed a place to get a quick bite and relax, nothing too fancy, and this little Irish bar fit the bill. It definitely looks like a bar — they call it a pub, but I think just because a place has the word«Irish» in the title, doesn’t give it the comfortable, affable feel of a real pub! Looks like a college bar, really. But we found a table toward the back and slid into a booth, away from the dart games and the front bar. Quieter back there. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful, and she had a remarkable memory of the draft beer list. She also came over around 10 pm to tell us that a loud rock band was about to start playing — she said they were a bit loud for her taste and she wanted to warn us before they just started noisily banging on instruments. Having 3 people in our party of 4 over the age of 55, I think we appreciated the heads-up. I had a Strongbow which was on draft, and sadly a bit watery. My grandma enjoyed her Shock Top wheat beer and my mom got a beer she liked as well. Each beer was served in a glass specific to the brand of beer, which is always a nice touch. We started with curry fries, which were quite good. The fries come covered in the curry(as opposed to it being on the side), so it’s a bit messy, but the flavor was appealing and they were piping hot. I also got the pesto chicken flatbread, which I have to say was surprisingly good. Something about the flavors — the chicken, the pesto, the three cheeses, the onions — just melded really nicely. And it tasted more fresh and well-planned than I imagined it would. Everyone was pleasantly surprised by their food — the offerings were a bit more creative and had better flavor than your average bar. Prices are quite reasonable too. We came back Sunday night to hear a live Irish fiddler who was quite good, and we had some dessert(homemade ice cream sandwiches) and a fancy coffee drink — coffee with Kahlua and Grand Marnier, I think. The cookies were baked in the restaurant, and served with ice cream in between. A very small portion of dessert, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. So service was great, atmosphere wasn’t too comfortable, music was hit-or-miss, food was a notch above the usual bar food. It adds up to 3 stars for me, but I know we’d all be happy to return for another drink and casual dinner sometime. We might just want to check the music schedule first!

Slow service. Okay food. Okay prices. Unknown to most tourists(i.e. no lines). Located at the center of town.
