Inconsistent. Ordered chicken shawarma platter, salad portions were much smaller than my first experience, less chicken than last time, yogurt and humus portions also much smaller. Chicken was dry and bland. Won’t go again.

We thought we’d check this out given the high Unilocal ratings, and were quite disappointed. The chicken in the chicken shawarma was dry and bland. The meat in the kebab was under-cooked. When we asked for two glasses of tap water, they looked at us like we had asked them for an enormous favor, we had to ask three times. The french fries were way under-cooked. Meh — we wouldn’t go again.

Not fine dining but tender meats excellent staff service and a clean environment. What else can I saw? The salads and carbs are good but humous and aioli was so delectable !

Pretty good middle eastern joint, coming from an Arab! I ordered a chicken shawarma platter and my friend ordered the same with fries. We received it promptly. From first sight, I think there could’ve been more chicken, but I’m willing to look past it because everything was so filling. The hummus, garlic sauce, and salads were made well and fresh!(Not something usual) We got pita bread on the side and my friend had her fries. The pita was cold unfortunately, but the fries were nice and fresh; it reminded me of how my mom makes fries. The place was very clean, but it could’ve had some music or something in the background; it was pretty quiet and I couldn’t really talk too loud. I couldn’t really talk in Arabic either because obviously the family working is Arab lol. I think it needs more ambience is all. In all a good experience, and I’ll come again and try other parts of the menu.

We have looked at this place a few times, but never tried it. We were not really sure what kind of food they served, and if we would like it. Last night, my wife said ‘lets try something different”, so we gave it a shot. We had the combo platter, which cam with three skewers, beef, lamb and chicken, huge amount of rice, two types of salads, hummus and some kind of magical white garlic dip. First off, I do not like hummus, never have. I tried this hummus, and it was amazing. Best I have ever had, and I never knew it could taste so good. The white garlic sauce was so good, i dipped everything into that! The three meats were all very good, great taste, and cooked perfect. The cost was under $ 20.00, including tip. You can beat that price. We were both full and very satisfied. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. Will we be back? Yes we will!

My go to spot for amazing middle eastern food. Everything is made from scratch, the garlic sauce is freaking heavenly. The staff and owner are always friendly and welcoming of my small children. Always excited when it’s time for J-grill!!! My 3 year old loves it too. and so do all my friends kids! Cheers!

This is a place that I have been long planning to try out and yesterday was the day. I took my daughter to this place and planned for a take out. A grilled chicken family meal $ 39.99 and 2 chicken shawarma $ 6.75 each(just the wrap alone). The service was absolutely fine and the atmosphere in the restaurant was good too. Lots of people coming in for take out. There were 2 different families having food while we waited and what they ordered was really good in quantity. The prices seemed very reasonable too. The handsome Palestinians guy was very efficient in delivering all the orders on time and with a good attitude that will surely pull us back. Coming back to the food we made a small mistake by not ordering the rice with the family meal instead we went for home style fries(my daughters idea) fries are not a good combo with middle eastern platter. I should remember this next time. 2 verities of salad was very good proportion and the chicken which was an entire chicken cut into 4 was absolutely awesome. Pita bread was just regular out sourced one not prepared in house like some restaurants in downtown. Even though the fries is not a good combo it tasted above average. Hummus and garlic dipping was good but when u eat in u will get it well served with olive oil and olives. The disappointing part was the shawarma, even though priced lower than most and with adequate sizing it didn’t have that punch or the zestiness of some other restaurants. Chicken inside didn’t have much flavour to it. Surely will go back for the family meal but not the shawarma. I wanted to give the place more than 4 stars but just because of the shawarma I have decided on 4. There are 2 kinds of family meal and next time I will try the bigger one $ 54.99 which comes with chicken, beef and lamb all in one and surely can feed at least 5 people, and next time and every time no more fries with middle eastern food.

The owner is actually Lebanese, not exactly sure why he chose this name for his restaurant. I actually watched patrons come in and asked the owner whether he’s from Jerusalem– thinking this place is kosher. The look of disappointment on their faces when they were told otherwise. Anyways, for $ 15 I ordered the lamb shawarma. Not exactly cheap. I was greeted with stale store bought pitas, a cold serving of rice and overnight fragments of meat – supposedly lamb. Pretty subpar quality, even a food court can kick it’s ass which is an embarrassment if you are in the restaurant business.

The food here was delicious! The place is really clean and the people were really nice! We don’t come to Surrey often so we’re very happy to find this place for a quick lunch!

Wanted to try this for sometime now. Dont be put off by the family run atmosphere. Tried the Shawarma Lamb platter and shared it with my wife and it was enough for the two of us… Just mind you. I personally loved it. I’d come back.

Enjoyed lunch there the other day and as I’m a vegetarian I tried their falafel wrap. Oh my is was made fresh and it was delicious! I wasn’t a fan if the pickle stuff added so next time I’ll ask them to omit it… But I will be going back! Thank you!

My Wife and I, really enjoyed our meals. We had the«Jerusalem mixed plate» & «Shawarma ½ chicken ½ lamb plate». Flavours were very good. The place is deceiving, it seems like a burger and fry joint from the outside. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely come again.

Looking on Unilocal for a place to eat passing through the area. Walked in and thought«mall food»… i was very wrong. Staff were polite and friendly. I had the platter with three different skewers; chicken, lamb and kofta. My sister had the lamb shank platter. I must say, the flavors were fabulous, very distinct, chicken had cardamon??? meat tender, even the hummus had well blended flavors. I enjoy middle eastern food and must say that this was phenomenal! I rarely write reviews, but strongly feel that Jerusalem Grill deserves to be appreciated

This place is awesome! I was skeptical when I read about this place on Unilocal.I really didn’t know what to expect, and was especially skeptical when I saw the prices. However, when I tried the food, it just blew me away. I grew up on Middle Eastern food and spent most of my life eating all sorts of dishes from the area, in varying quality. Therefore, I’d say I have a pretty high standard when it comes to Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine – and I’m glad to report that Jerusalem Grill delivers! This restaurant is completely authentic, from its staff to the way the meat is cooked. I ordered the chicken shawarma and it was very complete. It came with a side of pita, a salad, some hummus, and tons of chicken shavings. It was an impressive array of all sorts of different tastes and I loved every last bit. They also offer a choice between rice or fries, but you’d be crazy not to get the rice. The staff was efficient with preparation and also very nice, which is unfortunately a rare quality in most Mediterranean restaurants. In front of us in the line were two police officers grabbing a bite to eat, and we saw their new police Dodge Charger outside. The guy at the register also noticed it, apparently, because he told them what a cool car it was and about how he loved stealing it and driving it in Grand Theft Auto V! It was really funny. He was a very laid back guy and took our orders fast and was very polite. This is definitely a gem. I usually hate eating out in Surrey because of the lack of options – well, options that aren’t McDonald’s. I’m going to be coming back here for a long time whenever I’m in the area. Simply sublime!

Who says Surrey doesn’t offer quality meats?! i know it’s hard to fathom out here but this part, i’m taking a stab at, it’s probably the Fleetwood area, sounds prestigious but what do i know… First thing i noticed on the menu board, was the relatively higher prices – a lot of the platters were in the $ 12.99 range! so i figured it had to be deleesh b/c how can one charge this much like DT prices? Ordered the lamb shanks platter w/more than enough rice & mediterranean salad, which is alright to me. but the meat was tender, and enough for 2 portions. Of course, what i noticed was the new store, exceptionally bright & high loft ceilings, and plenty of light. Located inside a newer plaza too, way out by 160th St. free parking but kinda tight in this busy plaza. Definitely repeat.
