Taco Del Mar

Been going to this location for 4years since I moved down here food is so good I always get the platter only complaint id have is for a while some staff were not sure what came with certain items for no extra charge. Only Location I go to.

Driving by and kid got hungry. Pulled up Mobile Bandit on my phone and scored a great deal for this Taco del Mar.
I love Mexican food and this chain has the best «fast food.»
So, my review of this location. Walked in and 3 ppl ahead. Two ppl behind the counter serving everyone. The line moved quickly and service was with a smile. Points for the great customer service. Ordered our food and the toppings were generous on our burrito and chicken quesadilla. Food was made quickly and neatly (hate when servers slop food together).
Checked out in no time flat and sat down to consume our delish meals. Place is very spacious, read: lots of seating, and very clean.
Only negative: 1 bathroom was out of order.
So, yep, would happily recommend this location and visit again when in the neighborhood!

Great service, great food. As far as fast Tacos go, Del Mar is the best quality for your buck. This location is one of the best, the new management is always friendly and every time I’ve gone in has been a good experience.

Pretty much like every other location I’ve been to, this one is decent, but it’s still only a Taco Del Mar, which is sometimes descibed as the ‘Subway of Mexican food’. That’s not a bad thing; it’s just a description.
They make your food to order in the same way as any sub sandwich restaurant, where you stand in front of the glass counter and tell them what you want in your burrito, etc.
Beware of the rice — unless you like your burrito to be stuffed with lot of cheap filler rice, instead of meat, beans, and other things, you’ll want to tell them to take it easy on the rice.
They charge extra for sour cream and guacamole, when there should be no extra charge for it, but they don’t tell you that in advance when they ask you if you want some on the side.
If they charged a bit less, used less rice in the burittos, and didn’t charge extr for what should be a freebie, they could be a four star fast food eatery. But as they are now, Taco Del Mar is only a three star restaurant.
One last thing, at every Taco Del Mar that I’ve been to, the food is always too bland; but at least they do give you as much hot sauce as you may need to compensate for all the blandness.

Let me preface this by saying I am a huge fan of Taco Del Mar in general, so, this is a biased review. That being said, this is my favorite location as they have consistant food quality and it is always clean. Keep in mind this is fast food so it is not supposed to be the quality of a Las Margarita’s, but, much better than Taco Bell or Taco Time by far. In fact, I think Taco Del Mar does a better job than Luna Loca’s in Surrey or Pepitas. It is difficult to find really good Tex-​Mex food in Canada, but, Taco Del Mar does a very good job, at least for the fast food side of things. Almost as good as Chipotle in the States.
