My friend told me that he used this service for about 7 months without a major problem, but seeing the reviews on Unilocal I was nervous, so I called to find out about their pricing. I have a large amount of dry cleaning that needs to be done. I was not even through my second sentence when the lady said«I can’t talk to you right now, I’m really busy» and she hung up without saying goodbye cutting me off while I was speaking. So don’t expect any customer service, but I can’t comment on how your clothes will turn out.

3.5* My search for a standard cleaner in the Annex is set to continue. I returned to Knob Hill for dry cleaning a few of my favourite shirts. On the bright side, I’m quite happy with the turnaround time. The staff essentially asked when I would need my shirts back, by and had it ready in under 48hrs. The fact that the collars were not even starched when the dry cleaning sets you back $ 8 /shirt, left me a bit dissatisfied. Overall an ok, though pricy location as far as dry cleaning is concerned, but I would still return for adjustments and minor tailoring needs.

I’m surprised to see the positive reviews of this place. I recently went in here to have some blazers tailored and found the staff cold and unhelpful. I asked for an estimate on one of these blazers and the person acted like I was asking them to do something out of the ordinary. After some more sub-par service, I decided to take my business elsewhere. I will never give this place a single dollar of my money.

The cleaners are polite, and service is indeed good. This is not the place to go for a rush job, but it is conveniently located, although I wish they were open later. It’s easy to find a time to drop stuff off, but I find it hard to get there in time to pick stuff up on the way home(and I’m not interested in going early, and walking my dry cleaning to work, and then home again). My other concern, and the reason I’m not going back soon is the price. I had two dresses cleaned, and it came to over $ 36. That’s just a little more than I’m looking to spend for basic dry cleaning for a basic dress. I wish they had a price list for their other items.

The service at Knob Hill has only increased over the last year. I find them to be more friendly and I now bring many of my higner-end shirts here for their hand pressing service. For the price it can’t be beat.

I dig this place, I’ve been bringing all my pants, shorts, dresses etc here for hemming for the past 3 years.(At 5’2 I have to get nearly everything hemmed *sigh*) They even hemmed my expensive satin competition boxing shorts just how I wanted them, keeping the original colours(white trimmed with black hemmed bottom) which was a bit of an advanced sewing task. And only charged me $ 12. They do quick turnaround time on the hemming too, usually ready for pick up within 2 business days, but will do faster if you beg. I’ve never had any problems with language barrier, the husband & wife team manning the store always seem to know what I’m talking about. Bonus — they open at 7am, so you can stop by early in the morning en route to work to drop off items.
