Maverick Studio For Men

Not a place to get a good hair cut, is a good place for a cheap quick average cut which is what i got. I was done in less than 15 minutes just all around not satisfied. You get what you pay for in life and this is no exception at least its better than First Choice. Should have cost less than 20 bucks if you ask me but in the end I should know better than to go to a barber shop for a good hair cut, my bad.

Staff were friendly, and the haircut was fine. I’d gone in hoping to change my style somewhat and get some styling advice, and was somewhat disappointed in both regards.
The location caters to the financial district’s suit-​and-​tie types, and their over-​inflated prices reflect that. But there’s nothing here that would make me come back and pay more than 4x the price that I pay at my regular barber.

Excellent service and all the barbers are good. Can’t really go wrong here. I had my last cut with Joseph. Very nice guy and I was very happy with my cut. Prices are reasonable given downtown PATH location.

I won’t go anywhere else. I’ve always hated getting my hair cut, but this place turns it into a whole new experience. David is a legend, super chill guy. Customer service is great too.

Great place and atmosphere. As long as David is cutting hair and until God takes mine away from me, I’ll be going to him every time. Sean (Shawn?) at the front is a solid dude too, great customer service.

Just got back from my first visit. Had a buzz and and beard trim. Atmosphere was great, enjoyable conversation and customer service was perfect. Thanks Valerie for a great cut!

first time at the salon and didnt like my experience. the lady I was with said she was new to the salon so that made me nervous. she didnt talk much and was not very polite. she even checked her phone a few times. i wanted my hair shorter but she argued with me and i left unhappy with my cut. i covered it with a baseball cap and went to another salon. will never come back here

I’ve been getting my haircut here since last year and I haven’t gone anywhere else since. I get my haircut done by Joseph. He’s the man, cuts your hair exactly the way you want him too. The staff here are friendly. I’m sure if you want a modern haircut done, I’m sure these guys can pull it off. I’ve seen all walks of life come into the studio… Businessmen, students, hipsters, yuppies…

My boyfriend is new in Toronto and was looking for a good and not so expensive place to get a hair cut. After reading some reviews here and other sites, I suggested the Maverick.
My bf called to make an appointment and the lady on the phone was very friendly. My bf had found a style on the Internet and since they have ipads there, he was able to show Mike what he wanted. He was a bit serious at the beginning, but he was very professional all the time and gave his opinion on the style my bf wanted. The entire process took almost half an hour and included a hot towel treatment (for no extra $$).
At the end, my bf was very happy with the hair cut and he absolutely loved the hot towel! he thought going here was a good decision.

I was tired of the same old First Choices and Topcuts, and decided to try a bit more of a stylish place. After doing some research online, I decided to try Maverick Studio For Men — and I was not disappointed.
Their online booking system made it very easy to schedule an appointment — and even let you choose which stylist you wanted to have cut your hair. Not having been there before, I selected «Anyone» and was assigned to Daniel.
The place itself was a little tricky to find, as I didn’t realize it was actually in the underground mall at the Exchange Towers. I was looking for a place above ground, but found it eventually. It is a very small venue, with only 4 chairs, and not too much waiting room, so it would be best to arrive right on time for your appointment, rather than a bit early. That being said, it definitely has an upper scale feel to it, and they make you feel welcome (even hanging up your coat for you).
I had grown out my hair a bit, and wanted to try a new style, but had no clue what style to go for, so I decided to let Daniel come up with something. All I told him was I wanted something professional, yet stylish that suited me — and he went to work. The results were very impressive! He gave me an excellent style that can be worn many different ways, and looks really good. He was friendly, professional and used effective techniques with skill (diagonal layered cutting, straight edge razor cleaning up of neck and sideburns, etc).
With reasonable prices, extremely skilled hair stylists, and a high end feel to the place, I will most definitely be coming back. You’ve hooked another long-​term customer — this is exactly what I was looking for!
