Correct, name change to ASASUSHI. I made my trip to Little Italy on a Thursday with a clear intent to get me some AYCE sushi at Sushi Island for lunch only to find it closed with no hour posted, so I headed down the street for Sushi D also closed to be open for 5pm. My last option was here, not an AYCE place but SUSHI. The restaurant is nicely decorated, with private little booths with cushion and pillows! For lunch time there were only about 2 – 3 specials which were mainly teriyaki and therefore did not appeal to me. We went ahead and ordered some basic rolls($ 4-$ 6) and a couple from their special rolls($ 8-$ 10). Both left us fairly disappointed. Service was attentive and we got our food quickly even though there were another 4 – 5 tables in the restaurant as well. Next time I’ll plan accordingly and remember that I might not find the sushi I’m craving on College for lunch.

I used to go here lots. Of course, then there was that little Hep A scare at this place. How’d I find out? There was a sign on the door saying some variation of «Have you eaten here in the past few days? Please go to the temporary health clinic for further action». I don’t know if this was entirely their fault, but nonetheless… not the kind of thing that makes you want to run back for a return visit.
