This location is the best for the service. The staff here is great, especially Karen! She’s got great customer service, efficient and is amazing at her job. The food is not bad, too!

Rude cashier(the Asian male one, and I’m not being racist since I’m Asian as well). Below average food. Stumbling on this a&w wrecked my day.

Grabbed a bacon & egger here a few days ago and was presently surprised how good and fresh it was. Real egg and real bacon on a fresh bun. Staff was also very friendly and service was quick. I will likely be back again in the near future.

A&W does one of the best fast food breakfasts. Eggs any style and full strips of bacon made to order… yummmm. The texas toast is also unexpected quality for this category of dining. On the other hand, there are some things that fast food outlets shouldn’t mess with, like apple pie. I had A&W’s apple pie and felt like I found a long lost friend. I grew up with McD’s deep fried pie which has since evolved into an apparent attempt to mimic home-style baking. I don’t care for it anymore. But A&W’s pie brings back that deep fried, crispy yet tender goodness. The filling has just the right amount of gooeyness, and the dusting of cinnamon sugar on the crust puts this treat over the top. Thank you A&W.

The worst a&w restaurant I have ever been in. The cashier was rude — I think it was a manager who can’t even give a smile to the customers, and I heard a lot of cursing from one of the cooks in the back during a busy hour on a weekday. My fries were undercooked after I requested twice that I want them fresh and crispy. They serve me wilted, old fries before and messed up my order by giving a teen burger instead of a mozza. Avoid this place at all cost.

This location is inside/beside the BCIT. This location is small and seating is very very limited. Customer service here is terrible and sometimes slow which is why I would rather go to the Robson location.

Delicious burgers, orders are kind of small portioned but for the cheap price I guess it’s good. Also all you can drink sodas.

Worst A&W burgers I’ve got twice in a row. First time I got burned buns and it tastes horrible. Next day I was sick, had diarrhea for a day, then I got the flu in the same week. Yesterday went back after a month giving them a second chance, and I get fucking burned buns again :(, then the yam fries taste like normal fries, it were like they color french fries and gave them to me. Will not recommend anyone to this location, but if you don’t mind burned foods, by all means be adventurous and get yourself a terrible mouth taste that comes after you finish the burger

I was thinking about fried chicken and I knew this locations offers the chubby chicken. Overall the chicken was kinda dry but satisfied my craving. My favorite thing from a & w is their gravy. I miss the old thiner fries. The service here was fast and somewhat friendly but the girl working the till looked exhausted which was coming off rude but I cud tell it was just the end of a long day for her. I ordered the chicken dinner which says it comes with small fries, small salad and drink. I didn’t get the salad and when I asked her if it came with one she said no. I said that it says there it does and she said no Just a drink and fries, I’m not one to argue although I was looking froward to my Mac salad to complete my fried chicken dinner fantasy.

A&W serves the best fast food burgers and the chicken is delicious too. The onion rings are insane, the root beer is top notch and the poutine is prime too. The way they season their burger meat is what makes them stand out. FANTASTIC. This location is 24 hour which to me is the best because I can choose to get fat at any hour of the day I choose. Go here and enjoy yourself.

Today I decided to come to this place for lunch with a classmate of mine during our lunch break at VCC. Generally I don’t like coming to fast food joints because often times their food are frozen before being cooked. If I wanted frozen junk food, I prefer to just buy them at a grocery store and just heat it up at home, there’s really not much difference in my experience. But today when I went there, I actually didn’t really hate it. The place there was relatively clean for the most part, their burger wasn’t tooooooo bad, the employee that took my order was friendly enough and it did fill me up quite nicely so at least I got all that to be happy about.

This is where I got to try my first poutine. I had been to A&W previously for some rootbeer floats but that was a long time ago and in another country! Wasn’t really sure I would like the poutine… but it’s artery clogging goodness. This was the closest location to work and was perfectly adequate as the scene of the tasting. Yummy!

Noticed that A&W had changed up their Burger Family menu somewhat. As I was with my buddy Vincent N, I decided to try their Little Buddy burger. And log yet another 1st Review. Just because I can. Parking here is horrendous, unless you are a hippie on a bicycle or a Vespa scooter. The interior smells a bit like a wet mop. The tables looked clean at least. There were several students from BCIT next door. The Little Buddy burger is only $ 1.75. I was expecting something similar to the McValue meal from Mickey D’s. In this respect, the burger was hit and miss. Hit — sauteed onions piled underneath the patty. Lots of onions. They were squishing out as I ate this thing. Miss — bun tastes like something you’d find at Safeway. Not toasted at all. Oh yeah, the meat was a bit thin. It looked like breakfast sausage meat as opposed to a proper patty. I really had mixed emotions about this one. But I think I will try something else next time, such as their regular Buddy burger.
