The owners of this place changed and the menu has changed slightly. I normally get the bubble tea and soup noodle combo. The options for the soup bases have changed and also seems to be less tasty. But there are other menu options like hainese chicken. The bubble tea pearls were a little hard still in the centre but was still ok as there is Hong Kong style milk tea now. There’s a younger Asian guy working the cashier and he seems nice but you will hear him saying some swear words while your waiting for your food. Feels a little disheartening as you keep thinking something’s wrong with your order. Overall would prob go back as it’s convenient for me but a do hope the guy working there will be a bit more professional.

I always stick to the Malaysian Laksa soup base. This base is good if you like cheap food and don’t mind MSG. It’s pretty customizable and the portions are okay. Bubble Waffle café is good for people who are looking for a quick meal with no fuss or frills. But not for quality or service.

Soggy bubble waffle. Took forever to order as the cashier had to attend to delivery order over the phone.

Ordered Takoyaki and Honey Milk Tea with Pearls. Takoyaki was a bit bland for my desires. By the time I got to it, it didn’t feel fresh at all. There was very little meat on the inside and the dough was chewy and the outside was not crispy as I had expected. There was the typical takoyaki sauce but it was such a small amount given that it only covered one of the balls. The Honey Milk Tea was good. I liked the level of sweetness it had. However the pearls were a bit undercooked and had very little sweetener added to it. This left me chewing madly at pearls which had very little taste to them at all. The experience this time aorund wasn’t appetizing at all and I am a bit reluctant to go back.
