Holy shit I need to do some serious re-decorating ASAP. Lots of stuff I want here. I was looking for a dining table as mine is getting old and is need for a serious upgrade. Well laid out store, lots to look at and well organized.

What a joke. Called to ask a question and was cut off by employee and told she could not help me. If you’re going to list furniture at the prices they do, have at least an inkling of customer service when someone is calling to confirm a purchase. Absolute garbage.

I came into this store and was bombarded with country-bumpkin styled goods and Christmas decorations. Not a great start. But I soon noticed that some of their furniture is really nice, even if the prices are a bit out of my range. I then ventured downstairs and came across a large, solid wood dining room table for only $ 800. I was thrilled! This was on sale, I think because it had a scratch or two, but I didn’t notice anything wrong with it. There were some okay looking lamps and a lot of furniture downstairs. I would definitely get a few pieces of the furniture if I could bring myself to spend a few grand.

For clean, urban furniture with an infusion of rustic, Country Furniture offers plenty of selection. A Porn for Moms Book gave me a laugh and I also discovered five kinds of cheese spreaders here on my last visit. Most of the price tags I looked at were faded to various levels or legibility and illegibility. Definitely a neat spot to pick up some pretty, retro-remake items like calendars, but not priced in the stocking-stuffer bracket.

This is quite a big store, and can give the impression of being a run of the mill décor store a la big box, but don’t be fooled by the size. In fact, country Furniture carries a really lovely selection of housewares with a sort of French shabby-chic aesthetic. You’ll find lots of pretty kitchen ware and some furniture alongside things like vintage French canisters for sucre and farine, quirky vintage signs and funky accents like number tiles to make an address sign and French signs for the rooms of your home: toilettes, la cuisine… you get the idea. You might enjoy coming here and pretending that you are Amelie Poulin for just a little while.
