El Fin Del Mundo

Ever since El Fin Del Mundo opened inside the Astoria I have never heard a bad review. This area is frequently attended by patrons of live music and residents of Strathcona, who’ve all made a point of eating, somewhat frequently, from the taco master at the back of the room.
For about $ 5 you get some excellent tacos, some top notch fries, or an all you can eat brunch every Sunday from 12−3PM (with dirt cheap, but quite handsome, ceasers from the bar). Bonuses include getting a small sample of the performance for the night, or on weekdays a free, or occasionally low cost, billiards table to work off those calories.
Also the guy working here is really friendly. I booked my birthday party at the Astoria and he hooked me up with some free food. It means a lot, especially when you don’t even have to ask!
El Fin Du Mundo is an excellent kitchen in a bar that’s long needed it. If you’re in the area you pretty much have to try it.
