I’ve been here a few times. At first, I was thrown off by the set-up, as the restaurant looks more like a grocery store with a restaurant tacked on than vice versa. Between the split level dining area atop a plywood platform, stoned looking servers and rag tag furniture, it definitely has the hipster vibe down pat. It can be quite hard to find a spot to sit, but something always seems to open up between arriving and waiting for my food, which is never too long. It’s self seating and clean-up, which means fetching your own water and often wiping down your own table. As for the food, it’s always fresh, and I feel good after. I’ve tried the pad thai, beet burger, spicy mexican wrap, curry burger, kale caesar and the incredible bowl(a hot rice bowl on special, not on the menu). The spicy mexican wrap is by far the best thing I’ve tried there, in terms of taste and portion size. It’s the only dish I’ve reordered. If you’re really hungry, go for the tortilla, otherwise it’s still quite filling on just the collard leaf. I’ve only had dessert once. It was of the chocolate and berries raw dessert variety, but I can’t remember what it was called. While it wasn’t overly memorable for me, my friend is in love with the Nanaimo bar that resembles a fat mint patty.

I went there twice. The first time I had their mushroom burger, the other time I had a smoothie. Both times, I ended up feeling sick, nauseous and light-headed shortly after I had their foods. I might just be unlucky but it completely put me off. I’m glad others have had better experiences than I did. Two stars for the concept, and pretty good location.

Man this place was good! I have been wanting to go there for ages, but I am not a big fan of Commercial so I don’t go there as much as I could really. I am sorry I missed out on Eternal Abundance for years. I had the super salad with miso and turmeric sauce and it was amazing. It came with rice and a scoop of hummus. I also had a liver detox fresh juice, which was super delicious. They make the juices to order there. No malarkey about drinking a juice from 2 days ago. I will have the fresh nutrients thank you very much. I was also happily surprised at the diversity of the menu, and the flavours. We also tried the GF waffles,(new item not yet on the menu), and yummmm! Now, I cannot wait to go back to Eternal Abundance already and try more things from the menu. The food is organic and very reasonably priced. I felt amazing after eating there! Additionally, Eternal Abundance is also a veggie and grocery store. I got a bunch of their spices in glass jars and organic veg. Everything was fresh and well presented. I LOVE Eternal Abundance! There, I said it.

I am so glad I found this place! I’m on a very restricted diet(temporarily) but care about ingredients and how food is prepared and this was everything I needed. It was nice to go to a place where I could eat everything on the menu, where the staff knew every ingredient and how everything was prepared and a place where everything was just so dang good(and guilt-free!). Love love love this place. It’s inspired my home cooking as well.

Eternal Abundance Vancouver on Commercial Drive is a all organic vegan grocery and café. This little gem has a bit of everything — maybe except a friendly smile! The woman at the counter is a standoffish. The food on the other hand is delicious. There are hot soup, amazing salads and vegan pasta dishes. If you are looking for fresh juice and smoothie, they’ve got just that too! This is one of my favorite vegan restaurants for a quick meal. Super Salad 13.50: Kale, lettuce, carrots, beets, cabbage, red onion, tomato, cuke, pepper, sprouts, avo, scoop of hummus. Grain and miso ginger or creamy hemp-garlic dressing. Add 6oz chili scoop +3.50. I really like their miso ginger dressing and also the pesto. The pesto makes has great flavor profiles! You can also request extras. Zugghetti 9.25: Zucchini noodles, kale and veggies with pesto and flax crackers. You can also choose between marinara or cashew alfredo. External Abundance is one of my favorite pre/post-workout fuel up! I like the clean, hearty ingredients that keeps me full all day! This is so important when you are trying to stick to a healthy diet and lifestyle. Minus 2 stars for terrible counter service!

There are a few chefs in the kitchen but my favorite dish is the raw Pad thai with a side order of raw onion cracker or bread and can’t recall the fella’s name who makes the best pad thai in all of Vancouver. It has a slight ginger Asian taste and served with the kelp noodles. It has to be the best. The owners are dedicated and take a lot of pride in their shop. Prices are reasonable. I like the raw desserts like the blueberry mouse pies with the nutty date crust. My portions are generally good portions and I come here to eat on my own or with friends. I also like to get my fresh organic produce here seeing I shop in this neighbourhood. The raw pizzas and kale Caesars are good choices too. I eat here often and hope for new entrees soon. There are hot soups as well.

I’m really happy that this place exists, and I enjoy it’s contributions to the community. For vegan food, the prices are reasonable, and I appreciate that they hold community events there. Given the level of gentrification happening on the drive these days, I’m glad there is still an independently owned place like this serving healthy food. It’s also pretty laid back in there… the couch is a great idea! The one star demerit is due to lack of seating, and wait time. Again, I know this isn’t a fast food place so I forgive it for that, but it’s only someone I can eat at if I know I have nowhere else to be.

Alex G and I stopped in here on a grey November afternoon looking for a treat, and we definitely found one! This is a real 3.5 star spot for me, just brought down to 3 because of the prices. We had a great little table in the window, up on their makeshift platform — it looks very DIY but was cosy enough. The tables aren’t too close together, but close enough to feel homey. We went to the counter to order, at which point I was a little confused — the place seems part grocery store, part café. The woman serving us was very friendly and patient as we perused the menu and the entire case of treats. I settled on a fresh pressed juice with ginger, and a macaroon — the juice was perfect, just sweet enough and without that weird bitterness you sometimes get with fresh juice. The macaroon was very small, but very tasty — total melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness. The prices are pretty crazy steep — I think it was about $ 30 for two drinks and two treats, but it’s a lovely place to stop by if you have a little extra cash.

I thought the place would be an actual restaurant. I didn’t expect a grocery store to be inside as well. There was very minimal seating but it was alright. The staff were helpful and nice. I ordered zughetti with marinara sauce and it was really good I highly recommend it! Although, there was a hair in my food so that was a huge con. I didn’t complain though because I don’t like to be nuisance, I didn’t complain.

The first time I came here I was a bit confused. At first glance it can be easy to not quite understand if this is a café, restaurant, or grocery store. Turns out, it’s a bit of everything! They have a delicious array of smoothies and juices, and I tried the Creamsicle smoothie with a slice of their vegan key lime pie. This place is a gluten/dairy-intolerant person’s dream. The smoothie was rich, fruity, and tasted amazing. Because they use all organic ingredients, it’s a bit pricier than other smoothie shops, but it was definitely worthwhile! The key lime pie was made with an avocado filling, and I’ve always been a bit wary of avocados going in my treats, but besides adding a great creamy texture I couldn’t taste it at all. It was amazing, so refreshing and citrusy. There are great spots to sit near the window that feel very cozy and intimate. It would be a great place to spend catching up with a friend or getting some work done. I will absolutely be bringing my homework here in the future and trying out some more smoothies!

I really like the products they are selling. It’s a great place for vegetarians and vegans. If you want a sweet treat or a great juice, it’s definitely the place to go! I don’t know about the food as the first time we went, their chef hasn’t showed up since the morning… But man… the staff is very unfriendly! Nobody smiles, nobody really talks to you, nobody helps you! It’s really like they are unhappy to be there! That really put me off. Going to a shop/restaurant is an experience that includes the interaction with the staff, but there, you are on your own! Maybe we have been on 3 bad days! don’t know! Also, the light is a bit depressing… I didn’t want to stay for too long.

The Zughetti was good. We also had the nori roll and that was interesting. Came here a few weeks back when I was in the middle of doing a cleanse so the type of foods I can eat is very limited. I’m open to trying raw food that’s vegan. We ordered a juice and a smoothie and those were well done. The service is a little slow though but understandable, it’s made fresh. I say this place is ok, I would go back to try it again but it is somewhat pricey compared to eating at other establishments that are similar to this place.

Nutrient-dense, organic, gluten free, low glycemic, vegan food. I always feel light and satisfied after eating at Eternal Abundance. Plus their small grocery store and organic herb sale during the summer has a surprising amount of variety.

Great chilli! Loved the flavours in it and while it was filling, it did not feel heavy at all. I also enjoyed the Chai latte, however I wish there was more of a punch to it like Chai usually has. The green soup was not a success. The flavours were somewhat bland and a bit too earthy. Happy to have had an organic meal though! The place itself was a bit too hippie and not as cozy as I was expecting it be. Good experience overall.

The food is great, atmosphere amazing and it’s a great place to socialize with mostly health conscious individuals. It would be nice to have more spice/flavour with some the dishes however overall you can come in here, eat and feel great afterwards. Clean eating on The Drive. The staff is super friendly & accommodating. They also offer wifi access and they don’t mind if you send hours in there connected.

Vegan. Organic. Raw. I know this will either send people stampeding towards or away from it. But let me say this: I have treated the menu as if it were Noah’s Arc, that is to say, I’ve ordered everything on the menu twice. It’s awesome. This is a café which caters to vegan/raw food diets, so you know that one friend you have is who is on a cleanse/gluten free/dairy free diet? I have somewhere for you to take them now where the food is good, and there’s lots to choose from. I must warn you it takes a minute. Because the food is raw, often that means making things from scratch since you can only do so much prep. Keep in mind the key to creating wonderful raw dishes is that the food will mimic other textures and to create these textures it takes a minute. So if you know that, then you won’t make bitchy-resting face while waiting for your order. It’s not that they take long; fast food has just ruined people for waiting for quality. The wait is worth it. Trust. The must-try is the kale caesar salad and the Zuhgetti is a favourite. Be sure to give the mermaid smoothie a go, too. And then pick up some nice produce and take it home with you for later. You’ll be happy you fed your body with good food.
