Don’t get me wrong, I love the clothes in Spank. They’ve got tons of cute, pretty unique items to get excited about, but I never seem to find anything I really love. While I really appreciate their focus on Canadian and local designers, the clothing is all very expensive and almost always out of my price range. They’re exceptionally good at window displays, which always draw me into the store, but unfortunately I’ve never found a piece I’ve loved enough to be able to justify buying. I was also quite disappointed when Bestie and I popped in on Canada Day — their sandwich board outside advertised a Matt + Nat sale that got me quite excited, but when I asked the clerk what was on sale(there was no signage inside) she pointed at 3 bags and the wallets and said those were the only sale items. I do feel that if you’re advertising a specific brand is on sale(especially one so popular locally) that it would be nice to have signage inside, and a bit more actually on sale. I’ll always keep coming into Spank in the hopes of finding that unicorn item — maybe one day!

Cute clothes, none of which fit me, however, love the designs. The people here are super awesome and friendly and prices are decent. I’ve been to this and the other 3 locations with the same sentiments. This location is actually my favorite over the other 3.

Each store has different stock, that’s one of the first things you need to know about Spank. They really seem to market to the specific area they’re in. The second thing you should know about Spank is that their staff is some of the nicest, helpful around. Very rarely do I feel like I’m being suffocated by questions. I’m allowed time to flip through every rack and they’re keeping a watchful eye on me to know when I’m ready to try on the clothes. It’s an off day when I don’t find something I love at Spank. This time I got a great summer dress for an upcoming wedding and a sheer top. Both on sale! Can’t beat that.

I love Commercial Drive, but you’ve gotta admit there is some BAD fashion over here. Thankfully there’s Spank. Just like the two other locations, this place is full of beautiful dresses, skirts, blouses and other pretty things. With prices that aren’t financially crippling, this place is always worth checking out. Whenever I’ve been in here, the customer service has been great. They also have a fairly quick rotation of clothing, so there’s always something new to look at. While there, don’t forget to check the sale section at the back –you can find some pretty terrific deals in there sometimes!

’tis the season to get your frock on! I’ve reviewed Spank Shoes on the Drive and I have to tell you, months later(almost a year) and a different store/branch/outlet entirely and I’m just as impressed. Spank has got it nailed when it comes to customer service. Seriously, Vancouver retailers: TAKENOTE. My BFF and I were on a mission: she needed party frocks for holiday revelry. We hit Spank on the Drive and ended up with not only THE frock for her company Christmas Do but our sanity and wallets in tact too(completely unheard of this time of year). Sure, Spank’s collection might not be as expansive or glittery as some but they do have a great selection of coats and hats. Throw in the odd STAR dress and the most friendly, genuine, on-point fashionista’s working the floor and you’ve got a good place to foray into when in a bind for your next fashion debut. The girls here were able to size us both up, hear what we were looking for, offer suggestions that weren’t ridiculously overpriced or outta our style and do it all whilst being über friendly. Honestly, it was one of the most enjoyable starts to a Saturday shopping we’ve had in a while.

Really, the go to store for nice clothes when you don’t want to venture downtown or away from the drive(which I rarely like to do) and just happens to be the place where my new wife found her wedding ceremony pants, completing the outfit. Having to be picky we didn’t purchase the pants the first time but when I returned days later, the girls remembered me(and luckily the pants) and I was able to quickly grab them and be on my way. Some really good sale items and some higher end choices fill the store. I think I’m going to be saving up for my next purchase there. a super rad leather jacket is waiting for me.

Definitely better than the W. 4th location because the people working here are a bit friendlier. Hey, they acknowledged my presence!(See my review for Spank ). But it’s still difficult to find clothes here for my body type and price range. I can’t say I was overly crazy for any of the styles either this time. However, they are some interesting designs.

Nice clothes, some that are Canada made, which I love. What I don’t love is that their in-house brand, Lost and Found, is made in China.
