I was walking by Exposure during the Khatsolano Arts and music fest and couldn’t help but notice a beautiful tribal print bag as I walked by. There was a booth set up outside and everything was 50% off! I bought the bag and haven’t worn another since. I’ve been to the Exposure location in Yaletown and love it, and the one on 4th is a gem too. They have so much cute stuff, and the prices are really decent. Last time I went in there, they had a buy one get one ½ off sale, so every time I go to this store there seems to be deals happening. I just got a peak at their fall collection, and I want everything!

I have been going to this store for 3 years so far and I love this store. They do have amazing clothes, but you need to dig for them. They carry very feminine blouses, vintages stuff, rubber boots(that are always on display — typical Vancouver!) and cute accessorizes. Oh! If you are a sucker for florals and chiffon –like me– you will love their stuff! I bought some of my most beautiful tops from there. They are usually well made and one of a kind. I always get compliments on the pieces I buy from there! The prices are more reasonable that Lushuz and other stores on Forth, but you can sometimes find the same pieces at Shine boutique for cheaper. I just bought a top from Exposure and one day after wearing it, I was at Shine boutique(on Broadway) and it was cheaper there by $ 20(and it was not even on sale!). Expsure sometimes have a high markup. They do have sales at the end of the season, but pretty stuff do not last until the sale. The ladies who work there are really friendly and they will not hesitate to help! They do layaways. Their layaway policy is to pay 25% and they keep the items for two weeks. They have amazing customer service. However, you cannot get a refund, but you can get store credit. I do not see many cocktail/occasion dresses there, but it has definitely nice dressing up pieces.

Don’t expect Exposure to reveal any hidden gems. The selection is similar to many other stores on Fourth, but the styles are cute nonetheless. On a recent visit I saw multiple items here I’d seen at Lushuz, and another shop or two. Rediscovering things you didn’t like the first time around is rather boring. I appreciate the fun display of rubber boots in the window that reminds us just what city we live in. The racks inside may yield a few delightful items. For future shopping trips on Fourth I’ll definitely stop in again to this shop. Just no promises on what will be laid bare.
