Oh my GAWD, this was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had! My husband and I visited Vancouver and decided to try Graze as recommended through the Happy Cow app. We booked a table on a Sunday night. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the entire restaurant was full of people(good sign!), especially for a Sunday night. We decided on the Fixe Prixe, which was $ 30, and each got a nice glass of wine. For apps, we got: broccoli fritters with roasted red pepper and truffle sauce, as well as a kale caesar salad with artichoke hearts, croutons and creamy garlic avo dressing(ah-MAZING!). For dinner, we got the picatta and the wellington. They were two of the BEST meals we have ever eaten. Filling, but portions not too huge, and so delicious! Perfectly seasoned, none of the dishes needed any extra salt or lacked any flavour/spices. For dessert we had the three chocolate truffles and the cheesecake. So, so good! We were literally going, «Mmmmm!» at every bite. I haven’t felt that way in a very long time from eating out, and you could tell that our meals were freshly prepared, with fresh, local produce and the presentation for each plate was beautiful. We could tell that these aren’t just cooks in the kitchen, but real, high-quality chefs who know what they are doing. The flavours of each meal melded together perfectly — everything was perfectly balanced. It’s two days later and we are still talking about how fantastic our experience was here(and wishing we had MORE!). The vibe was lovely, great positive energy, very nice ambience and setting(clean, modern, looks nice inside), and our waitress was lovely too! Service was great and we couldn’t have asked for more. This is the kind of experience that people should have at restaurants: the ability to experience not just mediocre food that you can make at home, but phenomenal food, made with passion, care and love(all cruelty-free and vegan!), that leaves you saying, «wow!» as you walk out the door. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fabulous experience and the joy of tasting amazing 5-star plant-based dishes that will make you wonder what you ever really loved about animal-based food to begin with. We’re only sorry that we don’t live in Vancouver so that we could come twice a week! Thanks so much for a truly lovely experience. :)

Went for an early dinner with a group on a Saturday night, a couple of weeks ago. The restaurant was not very busy, but based on the service we received, it felt like they’d overbooked guests and most of the staff had bailed and those who showed up had no experience. Needless to say, the service was atrocious. Our waitress started taking drink orders but because some of us were late arriving, we decided to place our food orders at the same time. She took orders from half of our table, then disappeared for 15 mins. A friend asked another server(because our waitress was MIA) what the soup of the day was, and he replied that he had no idea because he haven’t looked at the day’s menu yet and walked away(like that was an appropriate answer). My friend managed to order a soup from another random server that he was able to get the attention of(which was no easy feat), but no one took away his empty bowl for 20 mins after he was finished. This neglectful service was perfectly in line with the fact that we waited for water and additional drinks for an unacceptable amount of time for a restaurant that wasn’t busy. Another friend had some specific nut allergies and sought advice from our server on which items to avoid. The server basically just read the menu aloud, without much further insight. Thanks, we can all read, too. The food finally came and tasted ok, but the portions were small. Entrees were more like starters and starters were like minuscule. For the value and the poor service, I would not return to Graze. We all left unsatisfied. Thank god Rain or Shine is next door – ice-cream helped make our evening a little better!

Went to Graze after recommendations from some friends with a large party of 11. With a party this large people slowly trickled in. I found the service to be really bad/slow. The waitress that seated us asked us what we wanted to drink as I was on of the first to arrive. A friend ordered a beer and my wife and I asked for water. My friend received his beer a few minutes later but we didn’t receive our water for over 30 minutes. During dinner my friend ordered another beer which was forgotten about and was brought after we reminded her later. Now the quality of food was fine but I was expecting much better service. The staff seemed either to be quite new or spacey. Either way I would not recommend this place to friends unless they want a long lazy meal. If you have any sort of time crunch this is not the place for you.

Delicious upper scale vegan fare. The interior is well-decorated and fairly elegant. We came here for a dine-out that included a 3-course set meal, all of which was delicious. Very friendly staff that rounds off the experience nicely. Not a place I normally go to, as it’s rather expensive and the portions aren’t so big, but it’s certainly a great dining experience.

I came here for brunch on a weekend. The restaurant was not too busy. It has an all plant based menu, so I gave it a try. My friends and I ordered a tofu benny, portobello BLTA and buckwheat pancakes. All the dishes were ok. I am a meat lover, so it is okay to eat this type of food once in a while. If you are a vegetarian, I am sure you will like this restaurant and their food more than I do. I will probably choose to have a regular brunch eating sausages, bacons, eggs, hash browns, toasts and fruits. :)

First off, it is gorgeous inside with large picture front windows & a mural. The tables are set with real cloth napkins & there are plants & lights. My friend & I came here for Brunch on a week-end & there were maybe 6 tables occupied including us. There seemed to be one waiter & one waitress, both of whom helped us. We had questions, because I can no longer eat soy & she cannot eat gluten. They were answered quickly & thoroughly. My friend had the buckwheat pancakes & I wolfed down half of a portobello blta which sadly did not have the beet bacon as it is prepared with soy sauce. I instead had cashew cheese included. it was AMAZING. I also noticed they have plates right when you sit down meant for sharing, so it would be an ideal place to take a small to medium group & try lots of different things. I want to come here for dinner & drinks! LOVELOVELOVE

THEPARK is upstairs from Graze. It has a food truck, picnic tables and artificial grass. The food and service were absolutely terrible in every way. I felt bad because the owner seemed really nice, but they just have no idea what they’re doing. Ordering was confusing with food at one side of the room and drinks at the other. Somebody show them how to run a restaurant and make pico de gallo!

A friend brought me here with the promise of good vegan cheese. I was skeptical, but turns out it is totally possible! We shared the antipasti board, which included a legitimately tasty Boursin-like spreadable«cheese» and equally yummy gluten-free bread. The board also came with warm olives, pickles, and all sorts of other good things. As well as the antipasti, we split an order of summer spring rolls, and I had the lavender lemonade. Everything was completely, 100% delicious.

It was fine. Went in a foursome. I tasted off my companion’s plates: the macaroni and cheese, the perogies and I had the mushroom purse. NOTE: I am not a vegan, but thoroughly enjoyed their ability to create satiating plates. Overall it was good — but a tad too salty, and a real lack of pepper on all plates! Simple seasoning is a major requirement, especially when the establishment doesn’t keep pepper mills on the tables. I had to wait almost 10 minutes for the server to check on us so I could ask for pepper, and then she forgot, so I waited almost another 10 minutes before it finally came. I understand she’s busy and how it’s easy to forget these little things, but that’s when salt and pepper on the table might be a good idea. I promise you, I am no pepper fiend, but usually less salt is required when there is pepper to highlight the taste too. The ambiance was lovely, the presentation great, the server friendly and helpful(though busy), and I really enjoyed the desserts too. I hope maybe they might take heed of this advice, it would make that much more a difference for me to want to return.

I came back to try their Graze in the Park food truck. I was very disappointed to be led to an unvacuumed, dark and dusty area and a menu of one sad-sounding, regular vegan burger – no gluten-free option – and not including anything but lettuce and the bun. You pay extra for mushrooms, onions, and«cheese.» Their promo verbiage states it would include«all the fixens» but so much for that. Thanks for wasting my time. As for their restaurant, I’ve tried most of their apps and entrees and the perogies are the only one worth revisiting. At $ 16 for the dish, they are, in fact, yummy; however, you may only receive 5 pieces instead of 6(I’ve received 5 most of the time, 6 twice) depending on how stingy they feel that day.

I want to really LOVE this place. I keep going back to try more items but each time I leave slightly unimpressed with something. Flavors, textures, price(though I really don’t mind paying for good quality food) I just can’t quite peg it. I have been for brunch, dinners, and their Thanksgiving dinner 3 course meal. The service has always been AMAZING though and what probably leaves me happy enough to try and try again.

My boyfriend and I came here for our Valentine’s dinner. Both of us are vegan, and although there are a few solid places in our home city(Seattle), this was literally the best dinner that I have ever had. It was a fixed menu, with a limited choice between two options for each course, except for the cheese course, which had just one option. We decided that, in the interest of trying everything, we would each get the dish that the other one had not, and then share. I won’t go into too much detail on the specific dishes that we had, since they aren’t on their regular menu anyhow, but just to give you and idea, here is a quick run down: The first course was a choice between a wonderfully creamy potato soup with truffles and a variety of white miso marinated mushroom slices. The texture of the mushrooms was delightfully chewy, and the rich umami flavor of the miso paired well. The soup had bursts of flavor, some of which I could not quite pin down. It was at once smokey, creamy, and rich with truffles. The cheese course had white chocolate stuffed raspberries, candied walnut stuffed figs that somehow reminded me of baklava with the texture of the fig seeds and the earthy sweetness of the walnuts, a dill cream cheese, an ash covered almond cheese, a smoked cheese, a variety of olives, some cranberry relish, spicy walnuts, and the perfect amount of freshly made baguette crisps to go with it. I must say that, prior to becoming vegan, I was QUITE the lover of fancy cheeses, and that these vegan cheeses absolutely contended with the rich pungent flavors that you can find in high quality cheeses. I have NEVER had a vegan cheese like these. They were probably the most impressive thing that we were served. Both of the main courses were delightful, but the one that really stood out was the heart-shaped beet gnocchi. They were like perfect little pillows, with textural contrast offered up by some savory dried coconut crisps. Dessert was either a chocolate ganache or a deconstructed apple cobbler. They were both delightful, although I think that I preferred the cobbler, which is unusual, as I generally favor chocolate. The cobbler was deconstructed into three parts, one of which looked like ice-cream, but was actually a room temperature coconut whip, and another of which looked like it would be something jelled, but was actually frozen. This surprised the senses and made the dessert stand out even more. They also sent us each home with a trio of handmade truffles that were exquisite. I was most impressed by how original each dish was. I consider myself to be an excellent cook, and none of it was something that I could reproduce, even having had it. It is expensive, so be prepared for that, but it’s probably one of the few restaurants that I have been to where the food was absolutely better than I could make for myself, even given infinite resources. I would say it was WELLWORTH the price, especially for a date night. The ambiance of the place was also very nice. The lighting was low and romantic, but not dark in any sense. The bathrooms were a little incongruent with the rest of their atmosphere, as they were slightly messy, but really, that’s a pretty minor offense considering how perfect everything else was.

In a word, disappointing. My wife and I decided to try Graze for Dine Out. Service was less than average, with our server twice forgetting our drink order. The second time we didn’t even bother to remind her what was ordered. The food was sadly below average. Looking at reviews and the menu beforehand, we were excited by the potential of these dishes. The execution was not up to par. Appetizers: Kale salad: Adequate, but simple. Flatbread: Adequate, but average at best. Mains: Winter Harvest: An assemblage of bland vegetables with even more kale, deeply lacking in any standout flavour. Too small to be considered an entrée. Perogies: Undercooked, tough and for the most part without any distinct flavour. Dessert: Apple pie: Chewy crust and tough apples. Cashew chocolate cheesecake: No chocolate flavour, slightly bitter if anything due to the cashew cheese substitute. We were incredibly disappointed. After a meal that was not satisfying either in size or flavour, with poor service from a waitress who seemed overwhelmed and treated us like an afterthought, the bill was still over $ 100 for 2 people.(We ordered pizza when we got home!) We wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and like this place, but sadly we will not be going back.

Service 5⁄5 Water glass never got low. Our server was very helpful and gave us good advice on the menu. Attentive without being intrusive. Timing of the dishes was perfect despite the place being packed. Food 4⁄5 Sunchoke soup was interesting but not as flavorful as I expected. Kale caesar salad was excellent with delectable little artichoke bites on top. Could have had a few more artichokes on it. Mushroom purse was texturally interesting but needed more flavor. Perogies were devine — smokey, chewy and rich with a lovely beet toping. Favorite dessert was the warm ginger bread cake, topped with thin strips of candied ginger. The apple– pear pie was nice but a little undercooked. Ambience 3.5÷5 Classy modern but very loud. Visually interesting with lighting that creates star-burst patterns down one wall. We would go again, especially with the dine out special price menu.

Went again for Dine Out. I split stuff with my table which consisted of APPETIZERS kale caesar salad(average), flatbread(this is hands down the greatest appetizer they have), MAIN crepes(I don’t like crepes so I’m biased but I did ask my friends and they agreed it wasn’t that great), winter harvest(good, tons of veg), DESSERT Apple Pie Cheesecake(I‘m not a dessert fan and I would not order dessert from here again) Service was good and prices are reasonable.

I can’t believe I waited this long to try out Graze. I obviously didn’t know what I was missing! Went the other night for the first time. I ordered the Coconut Cheddar Macaroni with Smoked Tofu and Tomato. It was amazing. Hands down the best«Macaroni and Cheese» dish ever. Yet, no cheese, which I would have never known! The atmosphere felt relaxed, and was elegant but casual at the same time. The service was great. Can’t wait to go back and try out more of their delicious looking vegan menu!

I had wanted to try Graze for quite some time and finally got an opportunity last Tuesday during a VOKRA fundraiser. Started with a bourbon sidecar cocktail which was perfect! I decided on the $ 303-course dinner and wasn’t disappointed. Opened with a cream of parsnip soup. It was creamy and flavourful. For my entrée I had the paella which was filling and delicious– perfectly spiced! Finally, I ended my meal with the lavender, blueberry cheesecake which was divine. It loses a star only because the service was a bit slow, the server didn’t return to ask if we wanted another drink until I was almost finished my entrée and she seemed confused as to who ordered which drink, entrée, etc. I will definitely go back to check out the brunch.

I don’t usually go out of my way to eat vegan or vegetarian restaurants but I was with a vegan friend and wanted to be more gastronomically inclusive and I thought Graze’s menu was worth checking out. The décor is lovely, very cozy but with a touch of class. There is a little patio for outdoor dining too~ Our server was very attentive(though we came at the beginning of the evening so it wasn’t busy – that might have something to do with it!) and kind. I had the perogies– I definitely prefer the classic cheese and potato combination and I thought the dough was a bit tough, but the sauce that came with it is incredible! Really made a difference– I don’t think I could’ve eaten the perogies without it. My friend had the macaroni which came with potato pâté and a nice little salad from their garden(flowers and all! which I ate. flowers do not taste the way I imagine them to– nothing bad, just green and bland). It was pretty good too! Made me curious about nut cheeses. They also had a promo for free dessert on Mondays! My friend had never had dairy free ice cream before; it was delicious! as creamy as regular ice cream though with a hint of the dairy substitute(eg. vanilla made with almond milk?). I ordered the chocolate cake which was too dry for my liking. I don’t think the food is amazing but based on their kitchen’s unique twists on regular non-vegan classics, I think I’d definitely come back to try the other dishes, like the macaroni or paella!

After their strong offering during Dine Out Vancouver 2014, I had it in mind to go back to Graze to try the regular menu. Some of it is good, but overall I felt there was a lot of hit and miss, and sometimes what might be «meh» to you, someone else might really like. Also, portion size can very wildly from medium-large to small to «where’s the rest of it»? Quite a popular place. Don’t be immediately turned off by a huge lineup outside because those persons may in fact be in line for Earnest Ice Cream next door.

I really wanted to love this place, but it was just ok. Came for brunch, free mimosa for Unilocal check in BONUS! Cute place located on Fraser. I am a meat lover lets just start with that, but I do love places like Graze(vegan /vegetarian restaurants) one thing I look for when coming to a vegan restaurant is that I leave full and not missing the meat, I know that sounds like a big task, I swear it has happened, so I have high standards. Coming for brunch my favorite meal of the day. The menu had options from waffles, sandwiches, tofu benny, soups, salad so on. I ordered a Portobello BLTA: smoky beets, greens, avocado, organic tomatoes, on house made focaccia. The meal came with small salad and potatoes which were my favorite along with house made ketchup. The sandwich was a little disappointing, it was dry, beets was nice had a smoky taste to them, but the whole sandwich was missing something… seasoning!?! I don’t know, just didn’t taste cohesive. The size of the sandwich was big looked filling, I tried to put some of the ketchup on the sandwich to add flavor, it helped. Needless to say I still didn’t finish it, I was left hungry and wanting meat): Im still optimistic about this place maybe Ill come back for dinner and give it another chance.
