I keep thinking I like Green Day because the variety means I can change it up everytime. But who am I kidding? I get the same thing every time… a bit o EVERYTHING! Most salad bars just put out a bunch of raw, cut up fruit and vegetables which is blah. Green Day takes the time to prep it’s offerings. The raw mushrooms are marinated so they don’t taste like paper, and the mango pieces are tossed in sweet chili sauce. There’s every kind of bean available, cold ham, eggs, and hot meats too. Salad bar? There’s no shortage of protein here! I eat very well for under $ 10. Awesome.

Love this place! The salad bar has a great selection of food, and the veggies and fruits are always very fresh! You can also get bowl of white or brown rice as well as Bulgogi(Korean style beef), baked chicken and stuff. The place is very clean but quite small so even if there’re a table and chairs, I always eat at the office. Lastly, the price is pretty reasonable with this good quality of food. I always put a lot more food than I expect but my lunch is always in a range from $ 8 to $ 10. Haha. I wish they open til late(they open at 7am and close at 4. I think.) so that I can buy dinner when I work late… If you work around this area, you should definitely check this place out!

As far as salad bars go… GreenDay is pretty decent. Good selection of both fresh salad bar items and hot foods. It’s not everyday I can have a spinach salad with japchae on the side. :)

My GFs went for sushi at Fujiya but I wasn’t feeling sushi. Next door, there was this small place called Green Day Salad, so went in as the selection seemed pretty good. It was great, fresh salad with a lot of different product. For each salad, there is a listing of the product used, like this when you have an allergy to foods you will be able to make a good choice. They have a great selection of salads, veggies, fruits and even a hot buffet with white or brown rice, soup and homemade curries. Best of all, the price… a good lunch for approximately 8.50CAD. The salads I took tasted great and the place was clean… so definitely a new place for me at lunch time Elles sont bonne toutes ces petites salades !!

This is a deliciously easy alternative to ‘just another salad bar’. Not only do they have fresh salad stuffs(the usual), but they also feature daily specials that include little tofu pancakes, grilled potatoe wedges, or grilled green veggies(broccoli, etc). And that is not counting the warm food section. Their chilli does an admirable job of warming the cockles when it’s rainy and grey outside. And the soups are yummy too(try the chowder). Location wise, this is perfect for me and, for the selection on offer, the price makes this a frequent stop.
