This place is close to my office, so it is my go to once or twice a day. The coffee is good, the service relaxed, and the pastries and sandwiches are good too. It is worth the jay walk! The coffee here is as good as the coffee at JJ Bean, with quicker and more efficient service, allowing me to get on with my day, rather than wait in line!

The best coffee down town. They have Parallel 49th coffee. It’s very good. Really smooth. The café is unpretentious. The staff are lovely.

Hidden away in one of the office buildings. Part of my audition for a new coffee house. They operate under normal business hours, therefore, best approached when in the area. It’s a small coffee shop with one area for sitting, therefore, it’s a grab and go situation. The lady at the til was super friendly and awesome. The orange theme of the store is a bit of an eye sore so you don’t want to stay long anyway. They serve my favorite bean 49THPARALLEL(Yes I did large caps in excitement). Very fair prices. They have a very limited amount of baked goods. They had a double layered cream carrot cake = guilty pleasure.

Just an OK latte. Nice froth and presentation, but it’s so milky you almost can’t taste the espresso. Maybe the large size needs an extra shot?

4.5 stars! Actually for it’s niche, it’s tops. It’s coffee is identical to Café Artigiano across the street and much better than starbucks, yet the price point is lower than both… and did I mention their food is made from scratch and far above what you’d expect from a café in terms of quality and selection.

Great coffee place, consistently great tasting coffee. As an added bonus the owner went out of his way to ordered us a large bag of Forty Ninth Parallel beans for the office, and had a spot on recommendation based on my general description of employee preferences. Highly recommended and a nice change over the typical chains in the area.

Great little coffee place in the base of the office building where I work. Great espresso based drinks, fast service and beautiful, buttery croissants.

The best barista here is a little Japanese girl. If you see her behind the machine, for the love of god order a drink. I’m in here all the time, and rarely leave with a bad cup of coffee. It can happen, just like anywhere, but I find this little shop to be consistently high quality. They serve 49th Parallel beans, which gives your espressos a bit of dark fruit to the flavour, but the drinks are well made and will please your pallet. Also, their chocolate chip cookies are really freaking good.

Never knew there was a coffee place here, despite their bright orange theme. Parking here sucks. Don’t bother looking. The place has a bit of a «trendy but hipster» feel to it. Something about feeling good while fighting the System. The coffee appears to be freshly ground, which means your coffee will take a bit longer than normal. I had a hot chocolate, which was pretty decent, though a bit on the sweet side. Overall, a decent place if you’re sick of Starbucks.

I’m hoping that this new café, tucked away in the business area of town, has a lot of room to grow. It’s a cool spot with great décor and service. For now, I’m not thrilled. My coffee and treats were average. I had an Americano and it met the standard, but similar to other three star reviews I’ve given. The banana bread was quite on the dry side even though it was said to be fresh. The croissant I had on another occasion was small, and I’ve had better.

I heart this lovely little coffee house. Tucked away on busy Pender street(just past Burrard) they serve perfect espresso coffee and excellent nibbles. I had a warm chicken and brie sandwich on fresh bread. Yum!

Recently renovated and re’discovered’. A great little shop serving good coffee and innovative sandwiches(LOVE the camembert and pear on a walnut bread bun). Very much a coffee shop and not a mass perveyor of caffinated beverages. I for one am very pleased that they’re there.

This recently renovated long-time mom and pop styled caffeine hotspot is oh so where you wanna be(even if you didn’t yet know it!). With a fresh new look, quality and atmosphere are their all about service approach. I enjoyed a mocha with a friend although in retrospect being offered a glass mug and/or whipped cream would have been nice.
