Wonderful food at great prices. Really great. Loved the rolls with mango and kiwi in them.

One of the best Japanese restaurant in downtown. Super cozy place and a good price for their classy foods. They have Korean food too. Recommended

From my experience with Japanese and Korean cuisine, this place is by far one of the best places I’ve been to. I only had the sushi here and let me tell you, my mind was blown at how great their sushi is. I’ve been to multiple sushi bars and restaurants and this place is near the top with Nobu and Matsuhisa. Next time I come to this place I will have to see what the Korean is like. But if you want sushi you should 100% come here. Best sushi I’ve ever had in Canada!

I have never written a Unilocal review before. But the food here was simply phenomenal. Yes, the service was slow. One kid was running the entire front part of the restaurant, servicing every table. After nearly a half hour of impatient waiting, we were served perhaps the best sushi I have ever eaten, which is up against stiff competition from the likes of Nobu. My entire meal, which included 7 sushi rolls, totalled to under 50CAD which is virtually unheard of for quality sushi. In real money, that’s not even 40 dollars. The only suggestion I have is that they add Mochi Ice Cream to the desert menu.

The interior of the building is unlike any others I have seen, and it is very ascetically pleasing. Service is very reasonable, and they know the menu. Food quality is fantastic and you can taste how fresh their product is in their sushi. If you order a roll get roll #21 it is stupid how good it is.

We wandered into this cute and charming place at the end of a long walk along the sea wall… At first we thought we’d just take some sushi to go but the atmosphere with it’s funky lanterns soon cajoled us into grabbing a quick snack too. We sat down at a corner table in this woodsy quaint place with wide windows and a faux cherry blossom tree smack bang in the middle of the restaurant … Which is what endeared it to me I guess We ordered the ebi mayo… Which was a delightful surprise… Beautifully batter fried prawns one bed of fresh salad(greens with beet vermicelli) what really made the dish was the dressing … Lip-smacking Mayo lightly spiced and then this exuberant dash of lime that lifted the whole dish ! The serving was reasonable for 2 people. 5 prawns and salad for around 5 $, my husband sweetly left the last one for me We followed that with the hamachi sashimi(I’m a big fan of yellow tail) for 15 $(had it been under 12 $ it would’ve been pretty perfect) It was 7 pieces that were a half cm thick and about 2.5 square inch big served on radish vermicelli with the usual condiments plus some got sauce which I thought was unusual (sorry we were to busy eating to take pics of the food) The place had about two waitresses, which was fine since there was only 5 – 6 of us patrons. They were attentive and did their job.(refilled my complimentary tea with gusto each time) We ordered the party tray A(that’s 50 pieces of sushi for 29 $) which seems good value for money. It was a combination which contained two veg rolls, which I’m not a fan of but it came with the deal so it’s OK. The overall taste of the sushi test was fine, though the execution of some of them left something to be desired… Some of them weren’t rolled too well and fell apart as we were dipping them in soya They did have some of the better pickled Ginger I’ve tasted though… Overall a good first experience despite some of the reviews I’ve read about them Would I recommend this place? Yes, would I go back? Yes for the ebi mayo and to try some of their special rolls on the menu which seemed pretty interesting(priced between 10 – 12 $ I think)

Terrible Service. The food here is ok. The food is standard Korean Japanese food. The service is so slow though. On this evening they only had 2 waitresses and one sushi chef. What would typically be a quick one hour dinner turned into a two and half dinner. Also we ordered a special roll with real crab and they still gave us the«fake» crab. I will not return.

My girlfriend and I went to this place for dinner. Our first impressions of this place was pretty cozy and comfortable place, just like any eatery in the Westend. However, my instinct was a little alarm when we start ordering food. We order the dragon roll, seafood tofu soup and salmon sashimi. When we tried to order the chop scallop roll, we were told that it will take 30 minutes to make. What? I guess frozen seafood is on the menu and I was a little concern about my dinner. When our orders came, the only thing that was eatable was the salmon sashimi and it was borderline in freshness. The dragon roll was not made correctly and it crumbled when I tried to pick it up with chopsticks. Also, the sauce was too sweet that I can barely taste the other ingredient. Lastly, the seafood tofu soup was not great either. The tofu is eatable but the seafood look old and I don’t want to get sick. Even the sides dishes that came with the soup fell to the same result(the potato were under-cooked, the kimchi was not fresh). I can be wrong, but they need a new cook.
