Really wanted to give this place a try since it’s supposed to be healthy, but one step in here, didn’t find the place spic and span – kinda grungy. And the worker there was texting on his blackberry, so didn’t want to bother him. Not good impressions. I’ll check out the Vancouver Veggie Pizza instead, that seems more popular.

WORSTPIZZAEVERDONOTBUY!!! I bought one pizza from them and found a larvae in the sauce. When I stormed down there. There were flys everywhere in the kitchen. It was like a fly breeding factory. I questioned how long that sauce had been there if there was larvae in it.

Decent pizza, not great. We’ve ordered from them a couple of times, most recently this weekend. I have never been to the retail location, but when dealing with them on the phone it feels a little bit like a calling a 99 cent pizza place. Theyre not overly professional. The menu is pretty good — lots to choose from including some unusual options(crocodile, bison and kangaroo!). We thought the pizza overall was pretty bland and uninteresting. The veggies are pretty good but it really just tastes a little bit on the cheap side(sort of like what you’d expect to find on Granville street late at night). The worst part of our last order was one of the pizza’s had 2 big black hairs on it. Pretty gross. I get it, mistakes happen, but it doesn’t really leave you with a great impression of their cleanliness. Worth a shot but there are just too many other great pizza places out there!

Yum, yum, yum! After a long day spent at Stanley Park, we wandered down Robson and saw some good looking pizza in the window. That was enough to get our attention! We walked into the 3 barstool restaurant and ordered two pizzas — a Hawaiian and a meat lovers. We sat there and watched the guy make them both and slide them into the oven. While he was putting toppings on, we were pleasantly surprised to see that the guy loaded on the toppings to both of our pizzas — there was no skimping here! The price for pizza was a little steep, but if you get the specials it makes it a little more reasonable. The food was delicious! I wish they had a place to sit and eat though.

we stopped here after our bike ride in stanley park. she saw the gluten-free pizza sign and it sounded like a good choice. we got a large«spicy mamma», she added anchovies on her half. it was a very good pizza. it hit the spot, after that bike ride.

I called and informed them I am celiac. I was told that they had gluten-free pizza and it was not an issue. I called that evening — ordered a gluten-free, vegan pizza. That night I was violently ill. For hours. I will never go back there again! They sold me a gluten-free crust, with a topping full of gluten — the main culprit — a mock-meat called«tofurky» — don’t eat it if you are celiac. It will rip out your insides. I told the restaurant — they said SO sorry! I guess we can’t offer you another pizza — no! And the owner had the gall to tell me that I had ordered a gluten-free crust! No! I ordered the whole package and the whole package has to be gluten free. How ignorant! and how dare they sell pizza as gluten-free when it is not. I am not on a fad 40-day gluten free diet — this is for life! I will NEVER go back there again!

Well, where to begin. I’ve had several very inconsistent experiences with Mainly Organics Pizza. First off, I would strongly recommend to anyone dropping by here to come between 12 and 12:30 for lunch as I’ve had bad experiences with dry pizza(probably from sitting in the window too long) at any other time during the afternoon. As for the evening, I’ve found the pizza to be really good on Friday and Saturday nights, as it is once again always fresh due to the pack of people getting their late night fix after being out partying. Hence, I’d have to say that if you come when the pizza is fresh, its a good deal. But for me, I’d have to say its a hit or miss.

My experience here was extremely disappointing. I bought a groupon for a meal deal: a large supreme pizza, large salad, and 2L soft drink of our choice, which cost $ 18. The business boasts using«organic crusts,» «primarily organic vegetables,» and«natural meats»(I’ve never heard of man-made synthetic before, but whatever). Luring you in with the health-nut buzz words(which, btw, is a massive pet peeve of mine). We ordered on the phone(they sounded rushed and busy), and they said our meal would be ready for pickup in 20 minutes. Just in case, we gave them some extra time, and showed up after 30. The pizza still wasn’t ready. Anyway, once it was finally done we went to give them the groupon and apparently, we still had to pay $ 10 in taxes. Yes, $ 10 of taxes on a $ 40 meal. Why? Because apparently we were charged both HST and something called a «groupon tax,» which I suppose they can away with charging simply because they are calling it a «tax.» That just pissed me off and I felt like I had been duped, not that i was getting a good deal with groupon. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the 2L soda we got(apparently a $ 4 value), which was President’s Choice for crying out loud. Last time I checked No Frills sells those things for like 80 cents, not $ 4. There was a choice between cola and orange soda, neither of which I like. I mean if they buy PC brand soda they could’ve at least stocked up on every flavour. I mean seriously, have you ever heard of a restaurant that only gives you two options for beverages? Wow, I feel like I’ve already written a book and I haven’t even gotten to the quality of the pizza yet. To our disappointment, we realized the pizza was actually undercooked when we got home. So I paid these people $ 40 for a pizza and I had to finish cooking it myself. The pizza was also loaded full of toppings(American-style) but the crust was really thin(Italian-style), and there was barely any tomato sauce or cheese, so I sort of felt like I was just eating a ham and olive cold salad rather than pizza. All I could taste was the toppings. The ceasar salad was also pretty bad, and tasted worse than bagged salad you buy at the grocery store. Plus it was tiny for a «large» portion. Now, everyone who seems to be rating this place well has gotten slices rather than full pizzas. Maybe I will give them another chance and just try some slices next time… This is the worst groupon mistake I’ve ever made. Just shows you to be careful with groupons… read Unilocal reviews first!

Tried out the gluten free pizza with daiya cheese substituted. It was pretty good — the crust was super thin and kind of soggy-ish. Not my fave crust. Maybe it needed to be cooked longer? The amount of toppings was excellent but it lacked sufficient cheese for my tastes — I mean, if you have to pay extra to substitute your cheese, there should be more than a few sprinkles. I had the organics special with a few swaps in toppings. They were totally cool with mixing it up. The pineapple was canned. I didn’t know you could get organic canned pineapple? I guess I prefer the fresh since that’s what we use at home. I didn’t care for the italian sausage but that’s just me not really liking sausage on pizza. Overall, the amount of toppings(besides cheese) was good and flavourful but the tomato sauce was bland and the crust was weak. The service was decent but the price seemed a lot for the amount of food. I’m not sure if I would bother to go again but it was nice to try it once. It’s still nice to have someone else make your pizza than always having it at home and it’s great that they offer these options.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that you get a premium experience from the«organics» name. I ordered a carry out pizza and got there right at 30 minutes like they said and had to wait another 20 minutes for my pie. My pizza wasn’t even in the oven and they made no effort to get the pizza done. The workers actually were complaining about how busy they were the whole time and there wasn’t much going on for two people to handle imo. They were slow as molasses and quite rude. They only had to cut one more meatball to get my pizza in the oven, but constantly were getting sidetracked and even took a break! Absolutely ridiculous! Enough about the service… how about the taste? The crust was black and burnt. Toppings were decent, but not really that plentiful or special. This wasn’t any better than a McCain’s thin crust frozen pizza and certainly not worth 5 times the price. Maybe I’d get the $ 5 slice special sometime, but I can’t see getting this over Nat’s or really any other $ 1 slice joint for that matter.

I’m not usually a fan of thin crust/slice pizzas, but Mainly Organics Pizza has definitely won me over! I tried a slice of their Hawaiian and the pineapples were still juicy as I bit into it. The ham wasn’t overcooked, but had a slight crisp to it. I also had a slice of their Classic Veggie which had mushrooms, green peppers, artichoke, zucchini, onions and olives. It was flavorful and satisfying as it didn’t leave me craving for some sort of meat as a chaser. The price is higher than the usually $ 1 a slice pizza joints scattered all over downtown, but you get what you pay for and it’s worth every penny. *Side note — They have gluten-free pizzas available too. Rejoice, my gluten-free friends!

This place has been a few different pizza places over the years. However the latest incarnation is nothing to write home about. First of all with moving the pizza towards the windows the sitting area has been seriously compromised. More importantly the pizza itself is so ho hum not sure what to make of it. You get two slices and pop for $ 5. The pizza is a of the thin crust variety, but was not as crispy as I would like it. The topping were OK. Personally I would walk a block south and hit Nat’s to get my pizza fill.

Although the pizza holding bin/case isn’t heated, one can easily see the available varieties from the front street window. Slices one ordered can be heated in a rotating toaster like device or served as is. I tried 2 yummy well loaded slices: vegetarian & mushroom. A slice and bevy is $ 5 which isn’t crazy but slightly more than non-organic. I enjoyed them immensely and would return.

Finally, organic pizza and pasta in the West End and available late night 7 days a week. It is a small location across from King George Elementary School on Denman Street. Nearby businesses include Blenz, Wild Garlic Bistro, Safeway, and Olympia, to name a few. I was greeted by a somewhat soft spoken but friendly gentleman(whom apparently speaks French). He took our order and told us since it is made fresh from organic ingredients that it would take 10 – 15 minutes. With a thin crust and loads of toppings, I tore into the Meat Lovers pizza(Ham, Sausage, Pepperoni, Organic Ground Beef, Mozzarella, and Tomato Sauce). But, don’t fret, the menu contains vegetarian pizzas as well for those so inclined. Also, they carry natural diet sodas from Krisda! As much I as I hate diet food and drinks(usually because of the lack of taste or too much aftertaste), I admit the Krisda Root Beer was tasty! I have attached a copy of their menu as of 19 July 2011. Prices may vary or change from this menu.
