I did not recommend this place . The service was very bad and expensive

overpriced, bad service, too much hype, they don’t focus on any foods in particular and there are too many options which makes everything worse. If you want a better Jewish deli go to Sully’s

Consistent deli, the Ruben is pretty good, packed with kraut and corned beef it packs a punch of flavor. The few times I’ve been here every sandwich I’ve tried has been good. I also opted tonight for a sausage slider witch was pretty good, but could have been better if the lady behind the counter didn’t warm it up in the microwave which sucked all the moisture out of the bun.

The breakfast granola is just perfect. Good bread, great baked goods and cakes, and a nice space. Max’s is pretty busy at certain times, but it’s a decent place to come to grab a coffee that *isn’t* your traditional coffee-shop. Decent deli selection with fair trade/organic choices as well.

If you’re a fan of old food and stale cookies then u might actually like this place. I used go here quite often for lunch and while some things on the menu were pretty good, sometimes it was NOT fresh and way overpriced. Its hard to be a fan of a place when they offer old food that should not ever be served! Alas, the food gods have struck down on Max’s and given use Whole Foods right across the street. While I don’t always like to go to the«big guys», Whole Foods does offer a good(although pricey) selection and they recycle A LOT… a big plus.

Max’s is fantastic. ITISNOTOPEN, HOWEVER. Temporarily closed and has been since mid-August. Try the one on Oak.

Went here for lunch today and had a sandwich and perused the baked goods section. Everything was quite competent but not inspired. Doesn’t have that extra bit you’d like to see from a neighbourhood deli. I think it’s going to fare poorly against the new Whole Foods across the street that has similarly priced goods with seemingly higher quality and way more seleciton.

I’ve only ever gone in here for the desserts or a quick grab from the deli. Everything I have had has been great. Might have to wait a few minutes for your number to be called on a busy Saturday afternoon, but no complaints other than that.

If you are a fan of a good Deli then you will totally heart Max’s Deli… It’s not in the most traveled area, other then local residents, but worth the trip to the hood. When you walk in you are struck with the smell of the baking… cookies, cakes, bread, mmmmmm… to the right you find a deli case filled with pre-made salads, sandwiches, wraps, etc… this is also where you order a sandwich to be made fresh if you wish… which is what I did, the Turkey Club to be exact… then you make your way around to the desserts case… that is really were I lost my s*@t…everything looks amazing and worthy of ordering. brace yourself for a tough decision… my advise is the fruit tarts or the pumpkin tart when in season… The sandwiches didn’t take too long and they have a decent seating area. it wasn’t really big though and the place was packed so we had to squeeze in… The food is really fresh and made with care and the baking kicks the ass out of other delis around. so worth trying out!

Frankly, I’ve never made it past the bakery section, particularly their individual desserts. With chocolate almond croissant and ladyfinger cakes, it’s really hard to make room in my stomach for anything else. On of these days, though, I swear that I will make it to the deli section. With their wonderful array of cheese, I’d be remiss if I didn’t.

I think Unilocal has really helped me to understand who I am as person because I am beginning to see a pattern emerge from my writing. I luv a good cheese shoppe can’t seem to get enough, and my newest discovery. Deli’s. Yes people I said Deli’s. A friend of mine murmured something about this place and today I spotted it on my way to the dry cleaners. I pulled over at my nearest corner, parked, and went in. Let me tell you Meindharts ain’t got nothin on this place. The salad cooler was crammed packed full of glaze yam salads, kohlrabi coleslaw, deviled egg salad, and pasta salads as far as the eye could see. When I spun around to point things out to my partner he was nowhere to be found until I noticed him with his face pressed up against the confection cooler foaming at the mouth. «Look at those chocolate mouse pies, those. tarts! the pumpkin tarts look de-vin» he shouted. needless to say we were both amazed at their selection. We finally decided on having a turkey, bacon, bravado on rye. The wait was a little long for the sandwiches but well worth it. The sandwiches were fresh and made to perfection. If you find yourself stumped on a Sunday afternoon and your looking for a casual spot to eat then I think you should check out this spot. p.s they have Wi Fi
