Good selection and pricing, much better than VV! The proprietress and staff welcome you and are helpful. There is a genuine community service to this socially responsible enterprise which I support.

Very cute shop with the nicest lady running it! I found everything to be organized and tagged, but I did have a little sticker shock. I appreciate the culled items, nothing gross or too old but a little steep. Hubs found some great pants for $ 8.00(there was sure nothing priced like that on the womens side!) loads of great housewares!

I’ve shopped here several times now while in the neighbourhood visiting my midwifery clinic. I’ve scooped a couple of really great finds, but it’s also worth mentioning the excellent customer service. Highly recommended!

Great store, great staff. Also, a good place to remember when downsizing your home or wardrobe as all for an excellent cause.

This place is a gem. The owner selects quality items to put out. No stained, holey, pilled sweaters. I have found really nice pottery there from great local potters. Things are well organized. And the prices are somewhere between garage sale and vintage store. So a scarf might not be .50 cents, but it won’t be $ 15 either. More like $ 3 or $ 4. This is specifically for the one on Hastings. I find the one on Commercial to be cluttered and dark. I love the one on Hastings. It is bright and with great stuff. Go there and support this store!

I really wanted to like this place, however, it came across to me as a poor unorganized garage sale. I had no patience to go through the disorganization and the smell was weird. The staff were helpful and friendly, HOWEVER, improvements on the general appeal and layout of the store needs to be put in. Everything is fairly priced.

This place was pretty interesting. Very broad selection of items. Large from area with clothing and a even larger back area with home accessories. Everything was reasonably priced and I would definitely go back! The lady working the store seemed very knowledgeable about the things she had on hand and was also super friendly. I had my eye on an old stove at the front, very retro.

This is a super second hand store, better stuff than most, and it is neatly organized, with a wide selection of clothes, housewares, etc. The clothes are better quality than most, and more stylish than most as well. The clothes side is ’boutique’ style with an excellent selection of shoes, boots, belts and accessories. The women that work here, and run it are awesome, friendly and delightfully community-oriented. To date I have bought sexy boots on sale for $ 10.00, bags for $ 10.00 and great jackets for $ 15.00 all stylish, name brands. I love the interesting displays in the windows, and check this place out weekly for new goodies.

I set out to Hastings with my list of things to do: Library, bank, post office… but I found a surprise waiting for me. A new Thrift shop with a cause! I’m very happy about this new addition to our neighbourhood! I met a very exuberant Portia and partner Zainab both business students with a plan in action. They run the store with help from volunteers. Proceeds of sales are turned into resources for women. Donations are accepted at the location. Very cute and nicely organized the store has clothing on one side and housewares on the other. The prices are really reasonable and the merchandise is well chosen. Their motto: «responsible reconsumption» I like it! *PS* 2nd location also opened on Commercial Drive.

My Sister’s Closet is a thrift store that benefits Battered Women’s Support Services. On a recent visit I found some great coats from $ 40 – 50. Some where even wool/cashmere. Unfortunately, they were either too big or too small. They don’t have a ton of stuff, but the combination of a few great pieces at a decent price plus the benefits that it provides a great cause makes it worth checking out.

This is a thrift/second hand store with lots of clothes, some items for your home and some for children/babies. It takes some sorting to really find a gem, but you just might if you take the time to look through the second hand accessories, for example. What is great about this store, though, is that it benefits organizations that help battered women. So, you get to shop and feel good about it too. The store is staffed by dedicated volunteers, and they provide lots of information about the store and about services for women in Vancouver.
