A hit! Came here for lunch with two coworkers, and among the three of us we got pistachio ravioli with gorgonzola, the buffalo chicken sandwich, and the butternut squash ravioli with meat sauce. We also got two more buffalo chicken sandwiches to take back to the office. Everything was fresh, delicious and very reasonably priced. I think the total for all the food, including a soup and a tea, was around $ 60(enough food for 5 people). Friendly service and helpful suggestions. Will be back!

Dare I say these guys are charging too cheap. For freshly made pastas, it’s a steal. I was kind of worried for the owners as they were usually dead when I walked by. But I guess online reviews have driven traffic and it’s usually steady busy now which is fantastic. I usually go for the Spaghetti & Meatballs or Meat Lasagna. Both are spiced well and super fresh. Staff are really friendly. They also have a bunch of fresh frozen to go but fresh is best. Will have to try all the different kids of Ravioli. Raise your prices! People will pay.

Ravioli filled with pistachio?! Amazing! It tastes like Italy, and I’ve never even been there. The restaurant is super casual, and you order and pay at the front. Raviolino kind of looks like a fast food joint, but this made me feel much more relaxed. I was able to enjoy each delicious bite of my pasta. It comes with a side(buttery warm garlic bread, salad with balsamic vinaigrette or olives) and the ‘fancier’ sauces are $ 1 more(totalling $ 11 if you get a fancier sauce; it’s worth it). I ordered my ravioli with alfredo sauce, but the sundried tomato I tasted from my friend’s plate was much better. I also had a bite of the sandwich special, which was the beef brisket. It had a nice creamy sauce, and there was a good balance of greens and meat. I’ll definitely be back.

Good pasta, nice restaurant, and friendly staff. A little on the pricey side but portions are a good size. The take home pasta and sauces are good value and they last a long time. Not bad for lunch but the portions are not as big. It is fast for those in a hurry though — and they can do takeout.

Simple, tasty and fresh pasta dishes. I tried the spinach alfredo ravioli, which was great! And also the minestrone soup which was okay.

Great little pasta place with fresh noodles and bread made daily. Great value. If you are looking for a quality meal that’s quick and reasonable is is the place to come to.

This place wins you over with their unpretentious appearance and tasty food! Raviolino works more like a fast food joint, than like a restaurant. You go up to the counter, choose your pasta/ravioli from neatly written chalk boards, and order at the counter. The nice lady at the counter greets you, and takes your order with a smile. Then you go back to your seat, pour yourself a glass of water from the self service counter, and wait for your food to arrive. We were a group of eight, and so we had made prior reservations. From the looks of it, was quite a busy day for the food joint, and most seats were taken. I had ordered the chicken/shrimp ravioli with meat sauce and a side of ginger bread. A quick word about ravioli for the uninitiated(like me): Once some dumplings from China decided to visit Italy, where they became best friends with cheese and sauce, and were henceforth rechristened as ravioli! I have had my fair share of pasta, but this was my first time trying ravioli and I was super excited about it. Thanks to Raviolino, I wasn’t disappointed at all! The pasta dumplings tasted fresh, the meat sauce was savory and the garlic bread was up to the mark. It all came up to a modest $ 12 after tips. I would like to try the ravioli with pesto or Alfredo next time! Also got to share a friend’s pasta. It was cheesy, greasy and delightful. P.S: Now that the summer is coming to an end, I can rely on the multiple layers of clothing to hide the effects of my high calorie shenanigans. :)

It’s really difficult for me, as a life long East-Vancouverite, to try anything West of Cambie. But I saw the reviews(searching for $ lunches on the app), and got this highly rated option while waiting in the neighborhood for the also highly rated PC Galore to reopen. Immediately I could see why. I no nonsense décor that reminded me of my other favourite take-out restaurant — a by the slice pizza place on broadway and alma, immediately set the comfortable mood. A chalkboard with very reasonable prices for soups, sandwiches, spaghetti and meatballs, and ravioli. Everything under or at $ 10. I ate their name sake dish with cottage cheese, spinach, meat sauce and a side of salad. The portion was expected for the low price, but the quality was far better. They had no nonsense table service, just quietly bringing food to one of their booths or stools and leaving. I would imagine they get really busy in the evening, but if you’re looking for a quick no nonsense lunch in the area it’s a must try.

Before I tell you about Raviolino, let me tell you about West 4th street in Kitsilano. This is full on yoga bitch territory with the compulsory mystical book shop, umpteenth pilates/yoga/core classes and scores of little cafes/restaurants. Just the other day we walked into a pie shop that wanted $ 45.00CAD for a whole pie(more on that later), and it’s REGULAR pie. Not crack pie, or weed pie. Therefore, Raviolino which sits unassumingly nestled in all this BS is a real find. There’s nothing fancy about the place ATALL. BUT the pastas are freshly made, the salads are simply made with crisp veggies and not obnoxiously doused with try-hard dressings, and they leave you alone to enjoy your food. We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, and it’s hands down — aside from my mother’s(God bless her soul), THE best spaghetti I’ve had. The meatballs are round and uneven, obviously handmade, without any metal-like aftertaste that many frozen meat products do. I can only guess they make those pretty fresh as well. The noodles are beautifully al dente and on the robust side of most manufactured noodles, they stood up well to the tomato ragu which was neither too salty or too acidic, two of the sins most commonly committed in a tomato sauce. While nicely rich, it wasn’t greasy or overly heavy and coated the pasta like it should, it didn’t slide off the pasta in a watery mess or congealed. I finished all of it sans carb face regret and wondered how I could come back for the carbonara. I read one review here that mentioned it’s better than most fancy white table cloth Italian places, and I absolutely agree. The menu is narrow but they do a good job. Last but not least, the lunches are around or less than $ 10CAD. I don’t get anyone else bitching about this place. Living in LA(for the present), I can’t even tell you how hard it is to find a proper Italian that doesn’t taste like a bad mobster movie. Good job Raviolino I’ll be seeing you again soon.

Stumbled upon this low key casual Italian place tonight in Kitsilano. Can easily say it was the best pasta I’ve had in a LONG time and I love pasta and Italian food. Their butternut squash ravioli was full of flavour unlike most big chain restaurants. The pesto sauce was fresh and you could taste the loads of basil. They don’t cheap out here! If you’re looking for fresh homemade pasta this is your place. Also, the employees are the sweetest! First time but definitely not the last.

In a city that often dresses up mediocre Italian good with fancy table cloth, dim lighting and romantic music, Raviolinos is the polar opposite. Cheap, delicious, fast and consistent. One of the best lowkey spots in kitts, perfect for casual outings. Pasta dishes cost about 10 bucks. Sandwiches are cheaper but I’ve yet to try one.

Went because of the good reviews. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and my friend had the fettucine alfredo pasta to eat at the restaurant. Love how they serve freshly homemade pasta for so cheap! However, I was disappointed to find my pasta served lukewarm and a bit dry. My friend’s alfredo definitely tasted better, although not the best.

Strolling around Kits on 4th, looking for lunch. French or Italian? Persuaded by pasta… freshly made. Cute smiling girl asked… may I help you? Squash ravioli with pesto… reminded why I love ravioli, pesto. Spinach & ricotta cannelloni with tomato… sauce, childhood memories, of Mrs Palermo’s next door. Must take some home!

Soup and sandwich at a bargain price for lunch. It will fill a gap created from a bike ride. Inside the restaurant was plain, noting special. You pay before you eat. If you pay by visa, visa ask you about the tip. I never give a tip before I eat. I had the chicken buffalo sandwich and corn chowder. Both succeeded expectations. Good size helping. Very good bread. Moist tender chicken. Delicious soup. When I am in the neighbourhood we’ll be back. And by the way I left a tip on the table.

Dropped by this place on our way to Wreck Beach(took bus 044 from downtown) and was surprised by how quiet it was. We tried the Chicken Mushroom Ravioli with the sun-dried tomato rose and the daily special — spaghetti in pesto sauce with tomatoes and feta cheese. We finished them in no time because they were so delicious! The Ravioli came with a side too! You should definitely choose the garlic bread. YUMYUM.

This place is a gem. Delicious homemade pasta, large portions, good prices. Run by a friendly and clearly talented husband and wife team. There’s nothing fancy about the interior, but that’s not why you go. The food is seriously scrumptious, handmade, and a hit with my family. This is a perfect«mom’s night off» place that genuinely pleases everyone — and for less than $ 10 per person. Yahoo!

By far the best homemade pasta I’ve eaten in a long time. I happen to walk by this place and was immediately taken by the creative artwork displayed outside the front door. Gnocchi Thursdays for under $ 10. — SOLD! I went in and discovered a beautiful counter style restaurant. This place was awesome! They have a giant fridge with freshly made pasta for take away, or you can order it to dine in. I had to try the Gnocchi, and it was delicious. The meat sauce was so good. I thanked the young lady working at the counter and assured her that I’d be back to try the Lasagna. This is a great place to grab a dinner and serve it up to your family or friends

Stop planning that 4-courses-from-scratch meal to impress your client. Stop knitting that baby blanket for your best friend’s little bundle. And dear God, please stop serving spaghetti from a box. Raviolino is THE solution for an easy and delicious meal to impress company, a care package for a new mom with no time to cook, or an easy and tasty family meal. I grew up on my mom’s handmade pasta and have been making my own fettucine for 25 years, and the packaged«fresh» pasta you get at grocery or gourmet stores has never been a true substitute. But my own pasta machine has been gathering dust every since Raviolino opened in our neighbourhood several years ago, because honestly, there is no point in spending hours to make my own when Raviolino makes pasta that is every bit as fresh — and I hate to admit it, even better! You can find spaghetti or linguini, always freshly made, and priced per 100 grams.(Raviolino recommends 200 grams per person, but I’m too much of a pig to settle for less than 300 or 400, especially if I’m expecting company and fear the horror of having the right amount of food rather than my preferred huge margin of error). To go with your noodles, choose one of their excellent homemade sauces: usually your choice of a couple of red sauces(meat or veg), a rosé and I think an Alfredo(we’ve never had it) and an excellent pesto that they keep in their freezer But the real joy are their stuffed pastas — ravioli, canneloni and mezzaluna(known to our children as «moon noodles»). They will recommend the best sauce to go with each, and listen to them, because their suggested combo of butternut squash mezzaluna + a delicate rosé sauce is something I would never have tried, but is phenomenal. Their mushroom-stuffed and cheese-stuffed pastas are excellent, too. I can’t tell you how many dinner guests Raviolino has saved from my failure to plan and cook dinner. People are always wowed and delighted — this is a far cry from throwing a jar of store-bought sauce over a box of spaghetti. It’s restaurant calibre pasta, which is why so many Vancouver restaurants get their pasta here.

Guiseppe and Maria Frasca have transcended the borders of Peru and Italy with their homespun specialty foods store, Raviolino. The owners create everything in store, from half-mooned shaped mezzaluna stuffed with butternut squash, beef and pepper, spinach, chicken and roasted garlic, fresh organic pastas, vegan and seafood ravioli. Prosciutto mascarpone, sun-dried tomato rose and pesto Alla Genovese sauces will add some serious flair to those fresh pastas. If you would rather leave the trouble of cooking to Raviolino, they also have heat and serve dishes including seafood lasagna, cannelloni, empanadas, pasta salads, veal and chicken Parmesan and meat and veggie Sicilian scaccia’s. If you’re a pizza lover, you can also purchase ready-made pizza dough. After purchasing a container of frozen pesto Alla Genovese(traditional pesto, they also carry a creamy pesto), I noticed the array of international cheeses and in particular, a wonderful selection of parmiggiano regianno’s. Peruvian baked specialties find there way into the mix with alfajores, a traditional Spanish cookie and delicious handmade chocotejas. Tiramisu, biscotti, chocolate chip cookies and lovely, light blueberry scones are offered up along with many other traditional baked goods. Trays of savoury olives and aromatic, fresh ground Italissima coffee plus all-vegan fresh and frozen pastas will have you wondering why you haven’t been here before. I’ve a feeling not too many people know about this hidden gem on West 4th so get out there and enjoy!
