Coffee fantastic. Food is an absolute rip off. $ 6.50 for a bowl of watered down soup! There is absolutely no value in anything on their overpriced menu. Paying $ 6.00 for a 4″ slice of flat bread with cheese is crazy. The pasta plate is definitely a no name brand creation. Real Italian food doesn’t taste like that. I’ve eaten here several times and have finally convinced myself to stop being disappointed… Have a coffee but don’t expect to be wow’d by your dining experience.

High class food at very affordable pricing. Had a layover flight in Vancouver– went to visit the waterfront area. Saw this brunch spot open and it had some amazing sandwiches that look like they wont fill you up-and ended up being hard to finish. Also had the pizza– which was baked in a clay oven– Authentic Italian taste for a breakfast pizza!!! Enjoyed my little adventure.

This is a lunchtime favourite of mine and many businesses associates. There’s a nice patio on the summer. The food is mostly light Italian fare, with a nice selection of fresh dishes. I like that they offer a selection of very small desserts, which is a nice break from the huge portions you usually see.

Very OK place. 1 a very confusing lines. There is one line to order a pizza before going to the cashier. I wanted salad but I ended up staying on the pizza line for a good amount of time for no reason. 2 Apparently they should have featured salad, but they didn’t. I ended up asking for a green salad which is basically leaves, cucumber, onion, tomato e a lot of balsamic vinegar. It could come less vinegar for sure. Also on the description it says the salad comes with their delicious bread, which means it is half of a boring bread. 3 the Sciué on Davie is more well organized than this one.

Came here a few months ago. Had a few small slices of pizza. Decent pizza but cold even after they supposedly heated it up. Good toppings but can be expensive if you are a big eater. This place gets really busy at lunch time. Seems a little disorganized.

Very rude host we walked out because he started patronizing us over some comment on cofee . I was shocked we walked out they lost 60 bucks multiplied by a few outings a month . I predict this place will be done soon. It’s surprising how bad the service on clearing the tables was. I say avoid this place hit starbucks.

* Honestly, I only come here for the salmon pizza, which is absolutely delicious. Their other types of pizzas can be bought from other places that do it better. * My lunch usually ends up being less than $ 8, but isn’t super filling for a girl who can eat. * Not the best food-wise, but service is usually quick and the staff are friendly, but come early for lunch or else you won’t have a place to sit.

The original, and thus, the most spacious. Great for thr DT crowd, especially during the summer with its enclosed patio. Even now, they have the nice furniture lounge benches with the heat stands. Their pastries are good, like their fruit flan tart. And their naturally squeezed organic juices are pretty good value. Amex OK. close early.

I’ve only ever come here for the pizzas during lunch, and while it’s enough for me, I know the mister always leaves hungry. When they charge by weight of the food, he’s never satisfied. Regardless — I wanted a healthy pizza option, so we stopped by Sciue on a Friday lunch date to grab a few slices of pizza. The pros: pay by the weight, so you can grab as many small slices as you want for variety. The cons: it’s not your $ 2 a slice«best pizza in the world» joint. But as long as you understand that, then you’re good. Because the pizza here is truly yummy. Made fresh on delicious flat bread with lots of options, you can grab 3 or 4 small pieces and sample them all. We picked up two servings of the Salmone, and one each of the Focosa and the Stadio(check out the menu here: ). They cut out slices in half so we could share them, which was awesome as well. All the slices were good, the husband really enjoyed his two portions of the Salmone(comes with lots of veggies!), and I filled up quickly thanks to the cheesy goodness. If you’re looking for a good lunch option, I would recommend this place for a nice quick sit-down. It’s not the cheapest option by a long shot(our meal came out to $ 17 for our pizza slices), but it certainly is good and you leave feeling a little bit better about eating healthier, fresh pizza. Accessible via all the busses that run down Granville Street, Pender Street, Cordova Street, or Waterfront, Granville, and VCC station. Hurray for downtown!

Service and food are pretty ok, not particularly remarkable but not really bad either. You order at the counter and get a number that you take to your table, so it’s kind of half table service. They have some varied options for breakfast/brunch, including stuff like fresh fruit juices, eggs, pastries and panini with different fillings. There’s even pizza that early, if you’re feeling like it. I ordered an omelette and it was served with hashbrowns(!) as well as a toast, butter and jam. Very filling even if somewhat greasy, and I could definitely do without the potatoes. The most interesting thing bout this place is probably the seating outside, other than that it’s a pretty standard bakery/café.

Poor service. Arrived with my two small children in tow. Cashier was less than patient. He appeared irritated when I didn’t know where to order despite the fact there was no sign. I also asked if there was a fruit cup on the menu and by the way he reacted you would think I asked for fish eyes with nacho cheese sauce. Food was ok. I don’t recommend for families with young children. Help and sympathy will not be forthcoming.

Ok, I work directly above Scuie — like, directly above. I walk past it every single day as I come into work, and right back past it when I go home. And yet it’s not my go-to when I need a nibble or a coffee. Don’t get me wrong, the coffee is good, and the service is fast and efficient(and sometimes friendly — mostly just efficient), but for food there are a lot of cheaper, more filling options. I understand that the pizza is all house made, but I don’t see any reason for it to be so much more expensive. I went for pizza when I first started this job, and it was super pricey for a portion that definitely didn’t fill me up. The pizza was fresh and the ingredients were good, but there just wasn’t enough of it for the cost. My office building’s Tenant Appreciation Day is held annually at Scuie and this was a great opportunity to stuff my face with their pizza(for reviewing purposes, obviously…) They do a great job of catering to so many people — they provide huge trays of pizza, tasty skewers of meat and veggies, ground meat on bread(no idea what you’d call it!), risotto balls(not bad), and tomato bocconcini skewers(can’t go wrong with that). I’ve also had their breakfast sandwich and found it very light on filling, with a LOT of doughy bread. Not my favourite. Their muffins, however, are SUPER good! Try the zucchini, it’s yummy. If you’re looking for a quick, light bite Scuie is pretty decent, especially if you’re having a business meeting, but if you’re looking for something to carry you through the long, long hours before dinner that won’t break the bank? I’d head somewhere else.

This hidden gem is a great spot for brunch on the weekends. Much less busy than the Yaletown location. Great service. Some of the best coffee in town. Many eggs benny choices. If you find yourself downtown on the weekends and want to avoid a crowd but still get tasty, affordable food. Check out Sciué.

Italian bakery and coffee shop. The space is huge. I appreciate the brown and orange tones, however, they could’ve had more selection offerings. This place has potential and I appreciate how they’re trying to mold themselves away from the template of other coffee shop establishments, however, they have a long way to go. I see the potential in this place. The flat bread pizzas, for what they are, were expensive. Best to come here for a hot drink, not to eat.

I get now why we give reviews up to 5 stars… so we can’t waffle in the middle(although I have been known to give the occasional 2.5 star review) If I could, I would give Scuie a 2.5 review. Pizza: 4 starts. It’s fresh, thin crust, and tastes authentic(like the pizza I had in Italy… or New York). Lots of variety, too! And I love that you can have it sliced to your size(and crust aficionados will love they option too!) Service: 2 stars: Friendly, yes. Efficient, not as much. I’m sure with all the craziness of the lunch hour rush, they have some kind of ‘system’, but service has been very slow each time I’ve been for lunch(regardless of eat in or take out). Like others, I would suggest going before 11:45; not only is it not as busy, but the pizza is fresh! If you go after the lunch rush, there is still a variety but some may have been sitting out for a while.

This is one of my favourite places for lunch because their pizzas are awesome. Sure, people complain about the price of the pizza, but I think it’s well worth it since I would rather eat good thin-crust pizza than the standard oil-sodden pizza-joint pizza. I also love that I can choose the size of each pizza so I can have tiny slices of several different types – mushroom and smoked salmon are my favourites! Service is a mixed bag though. Almost everyone there with the exception of one of the girls is quite neutral. A couple are super, super friendly. And then there’s that one girl who always, ALWAYS has a sour expression on her face. I don’t know why. And she was quite rude to me when I was confused about how to order on the café side after getting my pizza. The eye-roll? Unnecessary! Avoid the sweet things though – the waffles and the cannoli were both stale! Ick! But the london fog is to die for.

Today while shopping we needed a well deserved break. Where to go? — Why Sciue of course. Today everything was a pale stale version of what Sciue stands for: Stale pizza Underwhelming unfriendly«service» Bitter latte like you have in a garbage café Boo Sciue, we should’a went to 2001 flavours pizza and Sbux for the latte. g

Overpriced and flavourless paninis(they could learn from Subway). Also significant language barrier. Went here with a few colleagues for lunch. They each got pizza, which they said was good. I tried to order a Cinque Terre with roasted peppers instead of tomatoes. The casher was so confused… Instead I ordered an Orvieto. The menu is incorrect: It is not roasted turkey but rather cheap deli meat. When the panini arrived, it had been grilled to death, was about 1 cm thick, and was oozing grease/oil. I really cannot name one good thing about this place. Now to find somewhere to get lunch…

I Love the thin crust pizza!!! Ive only been here several times and each time was a delicious experience. My favourite has to be the smoke salmon pizza. The thin crust is done to perfection, has that crunch, and then chew to it and fresh taste, bottom layer is a tomato sauce topped with greens gives it that extra freshness and smoked salmon yum! Ive also had their lattes and its good, soups and salads are also good but not what I come here for. I would have given this place 5 stars if it wasnt for the service. Ive tried to order soup and salad with my meal but that took forever to get to my table, by the time I was done my pizza they still haven’t delivered my soup or salad, so I had to go up to the counter and remind them. I do try to avoid lunch rush here line can be long. This is also the reason why I’m not a regular here, but the pizza reminds me why I should come back. Overall they have some yummy pizza highly recommend.
