Came here on Saturday night to watch ufc with the boys. Drink specials are really good($ 3 highballs for happy hour and $ 4 pints) and there are two big projection screens on either side of the room. Food is relatively cheap and good. It’s not gourmet but it is tasty. I had the crispy crunch roll and the jappa fries. I’ll definitely be back again!

I’ve been here a dozen times and I don’t mind the food for the price. However, it’s a nuisance in the neighbourhood due to loud live music and patrons that stay until 2AM7 days a week. It’s an otherwise quiet area and how they have a license to play music like they’re at a stadium, I don’t know. After the music is over, the patrons, now deaf, file out and loiter around the front door gabbing, yelling or fighting with each other. Also, their bathroom is enough reason for a shut down on it’s own. The door in the mens bathroom does not close, it just swings open, so you have to hold it while you do your business. It’s been like this for as long as I can remember, well over a year. Moreover, the TV’s show sports, but it’s only standard definition and the image isn’t the correct aspect ratio for the TV. While it’s nice to have a place that’s open late, I wish there was a better alternative.

So it took an hour and a half to get a roll, while it wasn’t even busy. Yea. Fuck that.

Had my worst sushi roll ever, I ordered the Ebiawesome Roll, and the rice of the roll was wet and soggy that the rice didn’t even separate from each other, the rice was kinda just mushed into a paste that melted when I ate it. I told the server about the roll, she said«noooo, really?» and she walked away, and kept mopping the floor, just didn’t bother doing anything about it. Definitely will not order the«special roll» again. Cool drinking place tho.

Although mostly dealing in raw fish and sticky rice rolls, Simply Delicious is also secretly a great spot for live performances. This restaurant is set up very well for shows, easily transforming at night to give bands and performers centre stage. Their amazing in house sound system means you can hear the acts clearly from the back of the room. Bartenders are plentiful and quick with most(simple orders), and the kitchen is open all night. Entertaintment while eating california rolls in a booth with the company of your choice and cheap high balls. And if you drink too many of those, you can work it off shuffling on the dance floor. Bathrooms are clean, room is dark and loud at night, no comment on daytime activities.

I have been here a few times and wonder how big the menu is and how the prices are very decent. The staff are friendly in a sit anywhere you want atmosphere. I do like the space in where it reminds me of somewhere out there in Asia. However it was more of a four star place than a five star décor however a cozy place. I ordered the oyster which came in fresh and tasty with a great sauce that came with it. The spinach gomae was a tasty with a nice peanut sauce to compliment the spinach. Later on I got the chicken karaage which came in very hot so I had to wait til the chicken was colder so i could consume it and not get burnt. The waitress came by to top up my tea and the beer is very affordable here too! Later on I order the sunomono and it was the right consistancy of every sunomono you ordered everywhere. The bill came with me and my friend and it was $ 32 with food and 2 beers which is a great deal. I would come back again and reccommend this to people looking for a bite to eat late at night on Main st.

I live right by here, so I’ve been by a number of times. This place is definitely unique… It’s a sushi place, but it’s trying to be more of a lounge, or place you’d go for drinks before heading out to the club or something… They’ve got neon lights, loud music, drink specials, scantily clad waitresses, room for large groups, and cheap food(99 cent california rolls)… 2 people I know separately nicknamed the place ‘Trance Sushi’ and ‘Disco Sushi’, so that should give you an idea of what it’s like… One night I went they had open mic as well. The menu is huge and has tons of different stuff and although the food in general isn’t anything special, it’s decent, and as mentioned before, is cheap. Obviously this isn’t a place you go to be amazed by the food, but for a good quick, cheap bite it’s good, and I’ve been back numerous times. As long as you know what you’re getting into you probably won’t be disappointed.
