Though it’s in my neighbourhood, have to say it’s quite disappointing that they havent upgraded all these years. The locker rooms are dated, and not well lit; luckily they’re big to fit a full team comfortably with walking space. Our gear takes up a lot of space! But the ice is good and sleek. Much better than Eight rinks in Burnaby. Most real hockey players will prefer this over any of the rinks there except in Rink 1, where the Canucks practice.

I have nothing but good things to say about this place! Have had various courses for all 3 kids(9, 7 and 2.5YO) and have been impressed with them all. The middle one did a summer camp here and kept wanting to go back. All the camp counsellors actually seem to enjoy being with the kids(and believe me many of them at other programs seem like they’d rather be pulling out their own finger nails, so why they do it, heaven only knows!). And the staff generally all seem really engaged and friendly. Thumbs up all round.

Standard NHL size rink, exactly like Kitsilano in design. Another cold one! The Sunset FSC here has one of the most successful Canskate programs for kids and a growing figure skating club.
