Small, tidy restaurant away from the crowded bustle of Main St. stores. Generously sized portions and reasonable prices. Doesn’t serve liquor.

Waitress couldn’t tell me if the fish comes in «flash frozen» or not — a question pregnant women must ask whenever they eat sushi at restaurants! She told she never heard of the term and she had no idea where the seafood came from. YIKES. When I asked her where the fish did come from, her response was«the restaurant just passed inspection.» But that’s not what I asked! Then we waited 1 hour for 3 rolls and she forgot to bring the 3rd one… :(

I came here for dinner with a friend. We didn’t reserve a table before we came. We thought the restaurant would be busy but it was ok to wait for a table. In return, the restaurant was not busy at all. A server greeted us and gave us a table right away. The servers were Korean speaking but they could speak English. Their service was great and very polite. They always checked on our table during the meal, added tea to our cups and cleaned up our table by taking away empty dishes. We ordered four dishes of food: two pieces of chopped scallop nigiri sushi, salmon poke, appetizer tempura(2 prawns and 3 veggies) and kiss of fire roll. All of them tasted great. The chopped scallop nigiri sushi was quite big. Yum! The meal was not expensive. Average price was $ 17 per person including tax and tip. I always put the same comment for the restaurants here. There are so many Japanese restaurants in Greater Vancouver. If this restaurant wants to stay competitive and do well in the market, they need to continue providing great service and great food. They may want to do more promotions and take advantages to advertise online for free like using the social media channels. The ambiance was ok. The environment was clean and organized. But I didn’t have a «wow» feeling toward the interior design or decorations in the restaurant. If you are in this neighbourhood, feel free to try this restaurant. There is street parking on Main Street or the small streets.

Me and my friend discovered this place during the summer, and since then, we’ve been usual customers here. The food is always fresh and service is there when you need it. Theres also bubble tea and korean dishes that make this place a little more special than other places. The bubble tea what was drew us in to come back, but the food is still one of the freshest sushi we get around Vancouver.

I work nearby and love sushi so I thought I’d give this place a try. I had the sushi and sashimi box — very generous portions and the fish was fresh. I’d say that meets the criteria for any sushi reataurant. I went back again and tries the chirashi don which was good too. The unagi was well done with just the right amount of sauce which is a big deal for me. I dislike super dry unagi, or unagi drowning in sauce. I have yet to try the bubble tea here. Maybe in the summer I’ll give it a go. Staff are pleasant and looks like its a small family run business which is blends in with the Main Street community.

The quality of the fish is exceptional. I ordered basically one of every nigiri sushi and they were all high quality and great tasting. Everything was fresh and the seared salmon and tuna were perfectly done. Only regret was they didn’t have amaebi that day. But I’ll be sure to try it next time I get to go!

Small family owned restaurant from what I could tell. Came here for lunch and there were 2 people working, 1 being the sushi chef. Various other options for food in the area, like viet and chinese but glad to see another option. This is the spot that seems to always be trying to get customers from the other restaurants beside it. Order a couple regular rolls, and my only complaint would be that this place needs more staff if it ever gets busier. Got a free miso soup because the wait was a bit long, but they were very accommodating. Will definitely come back

I found another small Japanese restaurant opened on Main Street in this summer. I would like to check it out few weeks after it opened. It’s clean and cozy. But, I doubt it run by Japanese coz most of rolls are too much sauce and marinated. Salmon sashimi — it’s ok, just a bit too cold. Chopped scallops cone were too much sauce and seaweed became chewy and soaky. Kiss of Fire roll was ok. Overall, the price is reasonable but quality just average.

Wandered in near closing time on a weeknight. No other customers were there. Not a good sign, or so we thought. If the sushi chef was tired at the end of the day he certainly didn’t show it. He put his heart into preparing beautiful dishes for us with the freshest fish, the loveliest arrangements. The guy is an artist. I think the name of the dish I’m posting a photo of is Tuna(or salmon?) Poke. Isn’t it gorgeous?!? The waitress was lovely and accommodating and made a fierce honeydew milk bubble tea with lychee gel. I wish I had one right now. If only I didn’t live 3,000 miles away …

I can’t get over how amazing this restaurant is. Tucked away on Main near 33rd, it is a gem waiting to be discovered by many. The rolls are savoury delicious, the sashimi melt-in-your-mouth fresh, all with beautiful presentation. Non-sushi dishes are also excellent, and there are just the right amount of choices of everything. There is lots of love and care in their menu, all in a tastefully elegant setting — head on over and experience it for yourself.

I weirdly just came here for the bubble tea. This is the first time in which I walked into a sushi place and not bought sushi. It was a sunny day and I was craving bubble tea, therefore, went for it. I had a banana strawberry one which was okay, nothing to write home about, however, served the mission.

Sushi hub is the BOMB. It tastes as good as it looks. They spend lots of time on the presentation which is well worth the time. Super reasonable considering the quality of the food. Favorite meal by far is the Sushi Trio, sooooo GOOD. A cool feature on their menu is make your own sushi, you get to pick from a list of ingredients. never seen this on any other sushi menu. Great idea, I have done this several times. By the way the portions are a very good size. Plus they have ice cream for desert. They also sell Australian meat pies to go which is cool. Go you wont regret it!

Been coming to this place since they launched in the summer. Cozy and clean. Service is great. Specialty rolls like the General Brock roll adds a nice touch. My current favourite is the Chicken Teriyaki. Food is priced reasonably. Always enjoy coming here for bubble tea and ice cream too!

I had the tuna trio for lunch and it was very good. Price most reasonable at $ 10. Many things on the menu but not much for those who do not like raw fish. I couldn’t see any cooking facilities or deep fryer for fresh tempura. I did not appreciate the waitress calling me hon and honey however. Thus four stars instead of five.

Perhaps I ordered the wrong things. I had the spinach gomae, yam roll, tomago nigiri and avocado roll. I later on ordered the chopped scallop roll to go. The spinach gomae was actually quite delicious but the peanut paste was a little bit too thick for my liking and had resembled the consistency of peanut butter. The yam roll has steamed yam which is totally fine, but it came out really mushy, more like purée than chunks of yam. Their tomato nigiri was really good! Probably my favourite out of the bunch. And their avocado roll was alright, just that there was too much rice compared with the amount of avocado in their rolls. On the bright side though, they gave me free spicy sauce(something other restaurants usually charge for) and their service was really friendly and attentive. I really want to like this place so I’ll come back another day and see what else they have to offer!

Very good sushi. Had box C which was mostly salmon and tuna. Chef upgraded me to some Tuna belly. Awesome. Great cut, fresh and we’ll presented. Very quiet and unknown right now. Friendly service Ave very clean. Prices were reasonable.
