Warning! A lot of HAIR in their Sushi! Gross! I ordered Califolnia rolls, there were many HAIR on/in it. Gray hair, blown hair and black hair… Is this harassment? It is impossible. but I ate a piece… Yuck!!! I told the female staff who might be owner was very bossy and no apology. Finally, she complained back to me aggressively. What a hell is this??? My little child were looking forward to eat sushi and we were all hungry. We had very bad new year dinner. I can’t forget about the terrible experience. Somebody posted they are Japanese but they are absolutely NOT Japanese. They are actually all Korean. They don’t know what are Japanese food and hospitality. I will never ever come back to this place again. Please beware of this restaurant. Disgusting!

Come here with my friends for lunch all the time during school. Good service(most of the time) cheap sushi. Sashimi is lacking, udon and other noodle dishes are meh as well. Donburi is good. Sushi is good.

I will never eat here again! the sushi chef had his fingers in his eyes, ears and mouth!!! all while handling food… and with it being an open concept kitchen and dining I was able to witness it all and captured a couple pics… I immediately lost my appetite and wasn’t even comp’d my food after I brought this to the servers attention… total disgust!

Been here twice and both times the service wasn’t that great. Poor customer service and not attentive when you want to order or need more water. Food quality isn’t the best, fried yam’s on top of the crispy roll were soggy and stale. Very little dipping sauce for the tempura’s. Quality or service isn’t their priority as they seem to have enough volume from sky-train passengers.

I eat here quite often. Sometimes for dinner, but usually for a quick lunch during work. The sushi is great and the service/preparation is fast. I recommend for work people who need a quick lunch. With that said, their lunch time can get busy and sometimes you have to wait to be seated, but usually not more than 5 – 10 minutes. Turnover of tables is fast and the food comes out fast.

Loved the mango and yam tempura roll! Don’t get the veggie gyoza, tasted like a bad deep fried pierogi. Nice little find in an area that only has macdonald’s.

Had a good lunch with my friend. Staff was friendly and efficient. The table we sat on was a little small which crowded the table with all the food we ordered. Other than that very nice place and it seemed super busy.

That moment my cravings for japanese food was so high… intense and needs to be satisfied, from a work meeting i drove straight to the nearest jap place… my gps told me to go this place, black and red restaurant very japanese to my eyes, free parking, quite place to eat, small but neat and service is good im sure the 3 servers on duty were all japanese, all nice and speaks english, i ordered a combo where i can get a piece of everything, i feast on green salad and misu soup right away… was hungrry too plus the cravings… just imagine… good food but not the best sushi and sashimi… accept cash and cards… kids friendly…

I just wanted avocado roll and cucumber roll to go before heading out to a concert at the PNE Forum? Why so slow with service and then they got offended ’cause I wanted to inquire on the status of my order. Sushi was decent. Not mind blowing. They used too much sugar to soak the rice.

Ordered 3 rolls to go. Took 35 min to get it. Service is not the greatest and the food is not worth the wait. Will def not come back.

Have been here numerous times over the last few months, ordering to go. Three times we’ve received rolls that don’t contain ingredients that they should or contain other ingredients. After the third time this happened, I called to let them know, and they kept listing off the ingredients that should have been in the roll. I kept telling them that those ingredients were not in the rolls but they just kept listing them off again. I finally gave up and told them we wouldn’t be eating there anymore. Check your order before you leave.

One of the few sushi joints in this part of town. Parking is available in the strip mall. There are a few dedicated spots(still marked as Benkei, which is the predecessor) for this place. With that said, it can easily fill up. Staff(looks like a mom and pop operation) are friendly. With that said, the place is literally run by 2 people. Fortunately it wasn’t too busy. Sushi pricing is in line with other places in the area. The pieces are average-sized, and average quality. Nothing particularly stood out, but the food was overall quite decent, and there were no issues with freshness. One thing to note — the place closes quite early(around 2100), as this place is quite light on the foot traffic.

Under new management. Very friendly staff, amazing food, reasonably priced, and conveniently located! My kids love eating here too!

There’s nothing royal about this restaurant. Two stars is for their decent food and pricing. 0 stars for their service. The lady who I assume is part owner of the restaurant expects you to serve yourself. She’d come by with our food on her server tray expecting us to get the food off the tray for her. We also asked for tea refills multiple times and she’d take her sweet time, the restaurant wasn’t even busy.

Spicy tuna roll was nice and spicy but not too spicy. It is suit for little children too. In my opinion, I loved it. And salmon sashimi is my favorite menu. I recommend you to try salmon sashimi.

The restaurant sign is kinda misleading the customer. It is not sushi house, it is sushi royal house! Enviornment is ugly and simple.(But yea, at least it is clean). Servers can’t understand English very well, but at least they smile alot and polite, so I have no complaint on that. Food are quite pricy and in very small portion! Sashimi is extremely thin slices and not fresh. Ordered cold sake and ends up it served in room temperature. Would I go back? Definitely NO.
